Rowan jumped at the voice. He looked up, it was a girl. She had wings, so she couldn't be human. There was something in her eyes, she was lost. The girl, Cassis, she needed help.

She'd die out here.

They were the same, they'd never make it out here in the world of humans.

Rowan's vision blurred and he felt tears hit his hands. He looked back up at the girl with concern and worry, not only for her but for himself. "You aren't from here, are you?" He choked out in a strained voice. He wanted Constantine back more than anything in the world. Why did he leave in the first place? Rowan slowly stood up. "Are you cold?" Rowan asked. "You look cold."

Rowan looked up suddenly. He heard Constantine, but couldn't see him. Furrowing his eyebrows, the faery looked back down at the girl. "I'll be back in a minute." He muttered before running out into the deserted street. "Constantine!" Rowan called at the top of him lungs. A great gust of wind blew against his back, whipping his hair around his face.

Constantine's acute hearing picked up on Rowan's voice. "Rowan!" he shouted, running towards the voice. He rounded a corner and saw the fairy, causing him to sigh in relief to see he was alright.
"Rowan," he said in a small voice as he walked up and pulled the boy to his chest. "Don't run off like that... You had me so worried... I thought you ran from me..."
Constantine didn't understand exactly why he was so emotionally attached to the boy, but he didn't really care. He cared for the boy, this small, fragile little fairy who only wanted to find the kindness in the humans.
"Thank the Devil I found you," he murmured, smiling and leaning his head on top of Rowan's.

Constantine held the boy and said,"If you want to go home, I'm not going to stop you. Everyone has their own places where they feel the most safe, and the city just so happens to be where I feel at ease. If you don't feel safe here, then I'll let you go home."
He looked at the mess of brown hair and sighed. "Though I have to say, I would certainly miss having you around. You are quite cute and so very innocent."
Ignoring the tears that wet his shirt, he continued to stand there and hold Rowan in his arms.

Cassis watched as the boy ran into the street before she could answer his questions. He was crying. She wondered what happened to him. His question echoed in her mind. "You aren't from here, are you?" 'No I guess not...' she thought looking at her wings. She didnt know where she was from or where she was currently. She stood there not sure what to do.

Constantine gave a smile and looked at the winged girl, then back to Rowan's determined face.
"Well, if you really feel that way, I'll give you any help you need."
He bowed a bit, something he did from habit really, and stood back up straight, smiling that handsome, crooked smile of his to Rowan.

Looking back at her, Valk smiled back. "You are a good friend as well. I never really knew a lot of people, only my father and mother." He said as he looked back to the house. "When are they going to leave?" He asked himself.
