*Richard felt his companion's eyes look over his new outfit, pleased that she'd found it appropriately*
"Well, Snow appears to be putting the final touches with the party itself...but no one seems to be there to appreciate her work yet...and is it really too soon?" *peers out the window, as the sky slowly darkens, a lovely rich purple and orange at this point, but slowly getting darker still*
"How does that sound to you?"
*he smiles, taking in the fresh scent flowing off of her, a fragrance that was of Spring. However, the cologne he wore was a gift from a distant acquaintance. A sense of winter wonder would spark in a person's mind, as it was cool and crisp, but sweet like a delectable candy cane...but far more subtle then such a treat's sugary bite.*
"And I thank you...I normally don't go for something as colorful as this...but for you, and the season...it struck me as appropriate. As for your dress...I appreciate the thought...it does help..."
*raising his cane, he aimed it to the Bistro's main door, however, as the shadows swirl around it, instead of the darkening winter wonderland outside...it lead to the Christmas Ball*
"I do hope this isn't too showy..."

It sounds lovely. And, as the first to arrive, we'll set a precedent.
~she gripped his arm a little tighter, and watched as he swirled the darkness into a portal~
I've seen many sorts of unsavory characters in my time, but you truly are the lord of darkness, aren't you?
~her tone was teasing, playful. She was enjoying this a great deal, and had high hopes for the evening. It was nice to simply relax for once~
There's no such thing as too showy...

*he gently led her along towards the portal, nodding* "You could call me that...but then, someone might misconstrue that out of context..." *he chuckled, but looked to see the arrival of Supergirl* "Good evening, Linda...heading to the party as well?"

~she followed him into the dark portal, pausing for a moment to wave. She then remembered that her other arms were invisible for the evening, and waved with a visible one~

~She smiled and turned back to Shade~
Oh, don't worry. Lucifer shows up here from time to time, and i seriously doubt anyone would confuse you two.

She was smiling brightly, "Yes, yes I am."
She flashed Rita a smile. "You look wonderful!" Nodding, "You both do!"
She glanced around.
"Have--Have either of you seen Quirl around?"

*The Shade nodded, and tipped his Captain's cap to both Linda as well as her newly arrived date*
"Its good to see you both...I have the portal open to the Christmas Ball, if you'd care to join us...but, if you two would like to be alone..."*he smirked and winked at Rita, sharing a bit of a knowing grin as his gaze fell back on Linda and Querl* "But, we must not tarry any longer. the night maybe young, but I know how fleeting even it could be..."
*with that, he gave a bit of a bow, and led his date along through the portal, of which it remained open long enough for the other couple to join them...less they wish to take "the long way" to the party...alone wink *
