Irvine fought the pain. He fought the excruciating agony that he felt and stood up. His legs were weak and it looked as if he could collapse at any second. Yet he held firm. Irvine ground his teeth. He was going to beat the pain. Then all of a sudden his entire being began to glow with a mixed light of red and white. At first they were swirling around him. But then they started to expand and finally they had consumed him. Irvine was in a cocoon of red and white light. The cocoon started to float in the air. Soon it was high above the tree tops. The light then combined and there was a bright flash. Irvine's body fell from the sky and plummeted to the ground. There was a loud crash and a small crater was made as Irvine smacked into the ground.
 "OW! Damn it! That hurt!"

Irvine climbed out of the crater he made and stood up. He couldn't feel the pain anymore. What had happened to him he wasn't sure. Somthing he did know was that his soul had come back. For some reason he could feel it. This wasn't right though. His soul was supposed to be with Lucifer. Irvine wanted an answer. And he wanted one now.

 "LUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCIIIIIIIIIFFFFFFFFFFFFFEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRR!!!!"

Suddenly everything in the forest grew cold. The stench of death filled Irvine's nostrils. He felt sick. A black figure wearing large black robes came forward from the shadows of the trees. He glided more then walked. Irvine felt chilled to the bone but he remained firm where he stood.

"Lucifer, what has happened?! Why do I have my soul back?!"

"Well, well, well, Mr. Gray we meet again. I must say this has to be a first. Someone actually doesn't want their soul back. Mind you, I'm not even sure how you got it back. Though I have a feeling it had to do with the deal we made. You remember don't you?"

Lucifer's voice pierced Irvine like a sword. It was icy cold and it nearly chilled the air as he spoke. The strange thing was that it seemed that he was speaking in Irvine's mind and not out loud. Though that really didn't concern him. Irvine replied.

"Ofcourse I remember. As for my soul returning, I'd rather not have it but for some strange reason I do. We had an agreement that if I gave you my soul, you would give me power enough to kill Xol. So why did you give me my soul back?!"

"I did not give you your soul back. You gave it back to yourself. Unwittingly if anything. See, I gave you power to kill Xol. You never used it and you never killed it. Spare me the details because I really don't care. Now your soul has returned to you wheather you like it or not. And before you ask why you were in so much pain, it's because your soul did not like how your body was responding before. Therefore your body and mind battled your soul. And from where I'm standing there was no clear winner."

 "What are you talking about?"

Lucifer moved forward towards Irvine. He held out a robed hand and reached out towards Irvine. His hand slipped out of his robe. It was large and the skin was rotting. Warts were on the back of his hand and his fingernails were as long as claws. Lucifer opened the palm of his hand and suddenly a mirror appeared. Irvine peered into it. His eyes widened with shock. Half of his hair was black. The other half was silver. It was the same with his eyes. One was golden while the other was a brilliant silver.

"Now you see Gray. Your impure body and mind have fused with your pure soul. This is the outcome. Not a very pretty sight now is it? And seeing as your soul has returned, you have no need for your powers. Therefore I will be taking them."

Lucifer's hand grasped Irvine's head. He lifted him into the air a few good feet. The flat of his palm touched his forehead. The symbold of the pentagram appeared with the cross in the center. As Lucifer started to drain Irvine's power he suddenly stopped. He let go of Irvine's forehead and dropped him to the ground. Irvine fell on his back and looked up at the floating figure, surprised. Lucifer's hand seemed to be burned.

"Well, well Gray. It looks like your Mother's magic was much stronger then I suspected. It seems that even though your soul has returned you get you keep your power. All thanks to your Mother. I'm not sure how she obtained such powerful magic or how I never spotted it before but you can bet I can find out. As for you...God will never let you back into heaven, even with your soul. You've cheated me twice now. I await your arrival into Hell, Gray. And I can garuntee you that when we meet there you will not be welcome."

Lucifer disappeared in the form of black mist spraying from the spot that he stood. Irvine had remained on his back the whole time. His mind was reeling from what had happened. Why this had happened he didn't know. All he knew was that now he was cursed. Cursed with the soul he never wanted. Cursed with the hate of a God he did not want anger. Cursed to live a damned live.

((sorry for the slow post... I'm having comp problems))
Crystal was horrified by the things she saw and heard. Never had she seen anything like that. She stood there shaking as she tried to think of what to do. Never had she seen anyone in so much pain. Carefully she sat her bow down as she started to move closer to him. Crystal took a slow deep breath, scared of what might happen.

 "Sir..."

She called out softly. Crystal reached into a side pouch and pulled out a small bottle of water for him. Slowly she held it out for him as she watched.

 "Are you hurt?"

A blade of fire and air sliced through the thick underbrush of the portion of forest surrounding Irvine's little cave. The water golam was positioned there, and the sickening residue of it's being still filled the air. She glanced over, through the brushes, to see a large lake that might have been the one the golam spoke of. Another slash took the last of the natural barricade away in seconds.

Irvine was sitting in his cave. His back was up against the jagged rocks that poked at him. He was brooding. He still hadn't gotten over what had happened to him. The transformation. His "light" and "dark" sides becoming one. It was all too much to handle. He was so out of it that he wasn't even aware that someone was right outside his cave.

There was a slight breeze that suddenly picked up as Heswina seemingly walked on water and up to the waterfall that cloaked Irvine's cave. She didn't know where it was, but her golams had told her plenty. The water was split down the middle and Heswina walked into the cave. Glancing at Irvine she sized him up, "Which of the three are you?" She was, of course, refering to which of the three father's Irvine was. Her curiosity was genuine, she really didn't know who Irvine was.

Irvine looked up then at Heswina. His mismatched eyes locked with hers for a brief moment and then he looked away. His piercing gold and his calming silver would have taken the breath out of anyone normally. Though now they were lifeless. His silver and black hair was matted down against his head with water. It was obvious he had tried to literally drown his sorrows away but unfortunately that didn't work. Irvine closed his eyes and forgot about Heswina. He didn't care anymore.

"Which of the three are you?" The cave shook violently and a piller of earth shot at either side of Irvine. She looked...older. Maybe in her mid thirties, as opposed to her early twenties like her golams. She held an air of wisdom that could only be gained through the ages. "Tell me, I don't want to be in this rat infested hole."

			            "Then leave...."
These were the first two words Irvine had said in days. He had hardly eaten and looked almost sickly. His skin was pale and he looked thinner then usual. A number of cuts and bruises that weren't fully healed were visable along with several scars. Irvine had transformed into the wolf while in his cave. He had set up a barrier so he couldn't leave when he did. The wolf was so hungry that he started to bite and tear at his own flesh for food. Irvine was definitely ill.

"Which of the three are you? This will be my final time asking." The pillar of earth drew back into the cave wall and a new one formed on the wall opposite of Irvine, though this one had a point. She looked down at Irvine with no emotion, what so ever. Though she did feel disgust that something like THAT would have implated it's seed into one of her golams to create a child that was suppose to be her's.

Irvine opened his eyes again. He looked back over at her. Her emotionless face and eyes told him everything he needed to know. He sighed. Irvine turned and looked at the pillar then down at the floor. He sighed again.
 "My name is Irvine Gray."
