Arista merely grinned wider to Drake and looked to Ray to answer her question first. I suppose it would be better populated if there weren't so many out trying to fulfill their lovelusts. she said, rather amused with that topic. I'm sure if you ventured to the gardens they'd be quite populated. Or even the cafe. Something about coffee seems to bring people together...she joked. My sister, Hotari, the youngest of those in this realm, decided to confess herself to a drow there...she said, unable to keep her giggles inside. Precious, really...And to think for so long I hated the idea of love! she shook her head and paused a moment to gather herself, trying to remember exactly what she'd poured into the glass she offered Drake. Mmm...she cooed, leaning over the counter just a little. While the thought might sound disgusting, it actually is rather smooth...she said before resting her chin on her hand. For the most it's vodka...A shot of tequila added...Some grapejuice...and a little wine. she said, her smile returning after a moment.

Ray sat her glass down before she started coughing. "You mean, that's all people do here? Just...go around and find others to love?" Since she hadn't been around or met anyone else, Ray could only guess. Ray was glad Meir could only speak with one person at a time but instead of replying, she just gave him a look. He didn't shy away, obviously used to such 'answers'. "And...there are...drow here?" The thought made her pale slightly, knowing just how drow could be. But...one falling in love? Did this place have some giant spell on it or use charm spells? Or have everyone been drinking love potions? Drake raised a brow at Arista, not really that concerned about people falling in love. He'd already seen that happen with his other two friends but he never saw it happening to him. Not yet, at least. "That's a nice combination. Couldn't be any stronger than dwarven ale, though." He held the glass to his lips and took a nice gulp of it as Ray watched, shaking her head.

Arista wrinkled her nose slightly at Drake. I don't like dwarves...she thought to herself, remembering her supposed elven life. She looked back to Ray and shrugged a shoulder. Most of the time that's how it seems to be to me. I personally don't care about love or what it brings. she paused, knowing that wasn't exactly the case anymore. She nodded some as to the other question Ray asked, leaning over the counter enough to fold her arms and rest on her elbows. Yes...Drow...They keep entirely to themselves for the most. The only one I've ever seen around and active with humans and such being Erordia...She couldn't help but grin at what she wanted to blurt next, but thought she'd spare the poor girl's lovelife from the strangers.

The mage blinked and thought for a moment. The name seemed familiar. "Erordia..." Then it clicked. "The others at the manor we are staying in said that another lived there by the name of Erordia...but she wasn't there when we arrived." A drow that actually enjoyed being around those who were of another race...and loved one of them. She'd never heard of such a thing. "How...different. And she's friendly and such? I had always heard drow were cold and hateful..." Drake just sat back and listened. It was bad enough that one of the residents was another elf and one who was part demon...but a drow too? It was an odd combination to have living under one roof.

I've yet to meet her myself, but my sister is absolutely taken by her. She shrugged her shoulder again and looked to the counter. A brief moment she was overcome by the desire to care for someone and be cared for, but she wrinkled her nose and shook her head to herself. There was a drow male who my elven family let live with them. His name was Zandet...Still is, not was...It wasn't terribly long ago that I believed them to be family...she said, laughing to herself some. He was always terribly shy, with so many scars...as if he'd gotten into a life-or-death fight with a bear.

Ray blinked again. "In love with a girl, none-the-less. Erordia seems to like breaking the ways of a drow." She picked up her glass again after refilling it, her legs shifted and crossing she she sipped. "A drow male? Is he still living with you or your family?" Drake had finished off his drink and continued to sit back and listen.

Yes...I do believe Zandet still lives with the high elf that cared for me. Such a wonderful archer he was...she said, a smile crossing her lips in thought. He was the only drow she'd ever known before coming to the mortal realm, and she didn't know how cold they could be. He never seemed that different. I suppose love does strange things to people, no matter their origin, ne? she offered, pulling her sleeves to her elbows as she reached for another glass to make herself a new drink.

Ray smiled then tood a quick glance at Drake. They had known each other for a while now and she knew he didn't like elves much, despite living in a kingdom full of them. But he had never seemed to hate her like that... "It does...maybe more than I know." Meir tilted his head, having seen the interaction between his mistress and the fighter more than anyone else. He chirped slightly as if agreeing with her.

Meir's chirp made Arista smile as she shifted to rest her chin on her hand once more. I'd say it definitely does from what I've observed...She mostly meant in her parents, but it seemed that already the two infront of her had changed themselves around one another from what she'd gathered. So...she said after a moment of glancing from one to the other. Where is it you are staying, again?

Ray had gotten caught up in her thoughts, questions of this and that popping up as a result of their conversation. Noticing her absantmindedness, Drake shifted and spoke up. "Trist Manor, owned by a goddess of sorts but she doesn't live there." Ray snapped out of her thoughts then nodded. "Yes...I mean, no, she doesn't. But it houses nine other people right now. It's supposed to be magically enchanted to create extra rooms when needed. An interesting and useful trick."

Arista smiled to herself and nodded some. Ah...Yes, that is a useful trick. I believe that's what my mother did for us...she said, half wishing she were back in the other realm when it came to living arrangements. Nine? She paused, not realizing that was how many had been stated. So you two are numbers ten and eleven?? She was rather surprised that so many would live in one home, and figured that if a goddess owned it, it would be huge. Are any related, or is it just a sort of random establisment for people the goddess knows and cares for? She didn't mean to be so nosy, but maybe if she knew more about said goddess, she might recognize her from her father's friends.

Drake nodded then Ray began to elaborate. "Hm...two pair are brother and sister, one pair are sisters, one pair are childhood friends, and the last was found in the ocean, a mermaid. At least, this is what we were told." She shifted on her stool and sipped at her wine as Drake finished the explanation. "I don't think the goddess knew any of the before. We certainly didn't know her. But she set the manor up as a place for all of us to stay." Ray set her glass down, Drake fiddling with his own. "She already owns an adoption home far from here for others. I suppose she did it out of kindness."
((Kinda bringing myself/Sunray character into this, if you dun mind. o-o; ))

Jordyn and the twins came tearing through the door, nearly knocking into everyone in the way. Jordyn apologised to any they affected before breaking loose of the two girls. Aura giggled and went in search of a guitar as Merryn made her way behind the bar.
