Thinking about the Professor's question, Theodin remembered how much concentration it took for him to spit the ice spikes he had a few minutes earlier, this made him decide that he didn't quite have his father's prowess with Hyouton, and needed another way to get ice, at least for the time being. He told San "I feel like it takes more focus for me to use the ice jutsu than it does for my father, so it might be more primal, I'm not really sure" He focused his chakra into the back of his throat againa dn spit five more spikes into the ground next to his feet.
Theodin picked up one of the spikes and held it in his hand. While focusing his water and wind chakra, the young ninja thought about a strange shaped ice needle he thought he'd seen his father use and saw the needle in his hand start to take the shape for a small swallow. When the shape looked about right, Theodin threw the needle at another nearby rock. The needle flew in a straight line and shattered against the rock, doing nothing.

After taking a minute to rest, Theodin decided to try the jutsu again. Grabbing another spike, he focused his chakra and remembered the shape of the needles and how they flew around as if alive when his father used the jutsu. After taking a few more seconds to focus, Theodin launched the needles and watched as the needles arced and flew around the room before turning in midair towards the rock and crashing into it, cutting the rock slightly as they shattered.
wow...it seemed from a burst of inactivity the University was BUMPING again. giving a smile to Kumiko, San offered a few words of encouragement.
"So give it a try! If you want to do something, give it a try. I am not one to discredit personal exploration."
He then noted the ice technique from Theodin and about facepalmed. So he really was one of James. How fantastic.....
"Good job! Now...maybe something rom your mother? See how far you can progress those skills. Then maybe we see how your basic element skills are...."

Kumiko nodded at Sanshi before performing the handsigns for the Suiton technique and then summoning a large shuriken made of water. She sent the large weapon at the dummy as it impacted enough to rock the poor inanimate object.

Kumiko caught her breath again before quickly attempting the jutsu again, using her hand signs before creating the large water shuriken again and throwing it at the the dummy, this time causing the target to explode. "Err...Sorry, Professor."

"Ill take a seat over here and work on my handseals and chakra formation then." She said, taking a seat away from the group a little bit. She wasn't too far so as to discourage social activities but was a safe distance for people to practice. She sat down and smoothed her dress over her legs before beginning. (1) She formed her seals slowly at first, going through each seal slowly like she used to do in the academy. She hated forming seals, preferring to perform the jutsu rather than mold it in this manner. She let her chakra rise to its maximum and pushed it trying to stretch her pool but didn't feel much of a difference.(2) Just a slightly painful pull on her chakra coils. So she let her chakra fall back to the normal levels and started again. She slowly worked through her seals, forming the ram and building her chakra up to a visible level as it crackled along her skin.(3) She watched the energy crackle along her skin and pushed the chakra to different tenketsu on her body, watching it form heavier at these locations. She pushed it left and right. To the tips of her fingers and back down to the soles of her feet. She even had it vent from her navel at one point. (4)She let her chakra peak out and strained to push as much as she hand through her coils in a burst. After which she let her chakra stop for a second then vent like she would with a kai. She would then settle her chakra and let it rest (5)

Theodin took a minute to rest, that last ice jutsu had drained him slightly; then, he started concentrating his water and lightning chakras again to try something new. He held out his fist and pointed it towards a dummy across the room and pulled his other hand back as if getting ready to shoot a slingshot. He noticed that has he did this, three small white clouds began forming in front of his drawn back hand. When let go, the clouds flew straight for the dummy and rolled around on its surface, stuck to the dummy.

Satisfied for now with the bloodline techniques he's learned, Theodin decided to work on some basic element jutsus. He began to focus and gather up lightning chakra, feeling small shocks of pain has he did, he then let the chakra dissipate and tried again, this time the pain levels decreased. th young genin tried one more time and felt basically no pain, just a slight tingling feeling in his fingers as the lightning energy coursed through him.

Now that he could handle lightning chakra completely without pain, Theodin wanted to figure out how to attack with it. He began by focusing his lightning chakra as he made some quick handsigns. He then pointed his hand at a dummy across the room and watched as a small bolt of lightning shot from his hand towards the dummy and hit with a soft crackling sound, leaving a few small burns.

Theodin walked over to look at some scrolls, trying to decide what to train next. He scanned over a scroll of Suiton jutsu and found one that he thought would be useful. He checked the handsigns and quickly memorized them.
The genin dug out a small hole, thinking it would contain the jutsu he was about to try. He then stood up, formed the necessary handsigns and concentrated some of his water chakra into his stomach. When Theodin thought he had enough chakra built up, he opened his mouth and a small stream for water poured out of it into the hole he had dug, filling it about half way, creating a puddle about one foot wide and about 6 inches deep. "Eh, it's a start, but I'm sure this jutsu can do more..." he thought to himself.

After a few minutes of rest, Theodin was ready to try the jutsu again. This time he focused as much water chakra as he could gather into his stomach as he made the handsigns again. This time, when he opened his mouth, a large torrent f water sprang out, filling the hole completely in seconds and flooding the room to a depth of about two or three inches of water within a minute before Theodin thought to end the technique. "That's more like it." he thought this time.

Kumiko picked up the medical nin scroll again, reading about how to summon a medic's tools while in the field. After a brief reading, Kumiko quickly closed the scroll and performed the hand signs before releasing as a variety of mdical tools appeared around her. After taking a brief look to check on them, Kumiko smiled, proud of herself and sent them away.

After catching her breath, Kumiko then performed the jutsu again, this time, more tools showing up, like syringes, scalpels and mortars. Picking up a scalpel and twirling it around, Kumiko sent it soaring at the broken dummy as it landed, embedded in the head before she released the jutsu, the tools disappearing once more.

Resting a while after that last water jutsu, Theodin thought to himself, “Now I can work on creating my own ice.” Theodin stepped up onto the surface of the water, and began focusing some of his water and wind chakra. He made a quick handseal with his right hand, which he’d seen his father do many times. Then he released the chakra and watched ice begin to form on the surface of the water in front of him. When he went to inspect the ice, he saw that it was only a wafer thin layer about an inch in diameter. “Damn, not enough…” he thought to himself.

Theodin began focusing his chakra again, this time more than before. He made the handseal again and released the chakra. This time the ich was about eight inches in diameter, but still wafer thin.

Theodin began focusing chakra again, trying to find a better balance between wind and water nature. As he did this, he visualized all the water in the room freezing solid. He made the handseal again and released the chakra. This time the ice that formed was about three inches thick (all the way to the floor of the room)and about five feet in diameter. “Getting better...” the genin thought as he let the ice melt.

On his next attempt, Theodin focused more chakra, maintaining the balance between wind and water, but increasing the amount of energy. He made the handseal again and released the chakra. He watched as a solid platform of ice formed about eight feet in diameter.

Theodin let the large platform of ice melt again as he rested. He then began to focus his chakra again. He formed the handseal with his right hand again and released his chakra. This time, all the water in the room froze solid. “That’s more like it!” he thought to himself.

Next Theodin remembered how he’d seen his father pulling ice out of thin air. He closed his eyes as he focused his chakra more, searching for water in the air. When he felt like he sensed some water, he made the handseal again and released the chakra. Now a piece of ice, about half the size of a senbon formed in midair in front of him.

Theodin tried again to pull more ice out of the air. He focused his chakra while searching for water in the air. He formed the handseal again to release the chakra. Then he watched as a sheet of ice a foot across and two inches thick formed in his left hand.

Theodin tried the jutsu again, searching for more water in the air as he focused his water and wind chakra. With it getting easier for him to sense the water, he quickly made the handseal and released his chakra as a five foot diameter, six inch thick ice sheet formed in front of his face. He smiled to himself realizing he’d figured the technique out.

Kaori and Nova walked into the Academy with Nova at her heels. She'd gone to the Kazekage's office, only to be told to seek out a Sanshi Satetsu to get her headband. She looked around with her bright purple eyes, indicative of her clan, and took in the sight of a girl with bright red/orange hair, a male with silver hair, a female, that looked just a smidge younger Kaori herself was, was off to the side practicing hand signs and chakra control. Nova nudged her and Kaori looked over to notice an older, in comparison to the others in the room anyway, male with tanned skin and dark hair. She hoped that this was the Sanshi she was sent to speak with.
Kaori put her hand on Nova's furry scruff and walked over to the man, "Excuse me Sensei," She said, voice soft and polite, but with a hint of steel that spoke of inner strength often overlooked, "Am I speaking with Sanshi Satetsu?" She asked, hopefully.

Theodin noded to Sanshi, "Sure, Professor, sounds like a good idea."
Theodin walked over and examined a Raiton scroll. After a few minutes of canning it, he walked over to one of the dummies near the wall and focused his chakra, trying to concentrate it into his right hand.When he felt that enough chakra had built up, he hit the dummy with a quick palm strike, hearing a small jolt of electricity and leaving a hand-shaped burn on the dummy.
Nagare Tensou no Jutsu [ Current Transfer Technique ] Learned!
Next, the young genin backed away from the dummy and focused more of his lightning chakra. After a minute or so, Theodin formed the hand signs he'd seen in the scroll and watched as a beam of lightning five meters across shot from his hands, nearly scorching the target he was facing and even leaving burns on other dummies a couple feet away. "Whoa...this could be useful..." he thought, smiling.
Raikou Kousen no Jutsu [ Lightning Beam Technique ] Learned!
After resting a few minutes, Theodin decided to try another jutsu, He concentrated, focusing his chakra some more, then made another set of hand signs he'd seen in the Raiton scroll. Once the hand seals were made,he bent down and touched the ground, causing a current of electricity to shoot through the ground towards one of the targets, burning the base of it slightly. "Not bad, and I'd bet I could control the path better with my Suiton jutsu."
