"Only sudden for Alpha Team," Porter smiled at Regina and then gladly let her and Gen into the main Danger Room where the team was assembled, "Green Team had training scheduled for a week... Penance had notice of Alpha needing to be here... so you can take that up with her."

"Oh, I will," She joked.

"Now I'd pay for that cat fight," He whispered so nobody but Regina could hear them, "I'm going to pair Alpha off with Green team to help me train this exercise. We're just working on power control and Alpha has a good handle on it... despite what you all may thing."

Porter walked into the Danger Room, "Okay, Green Team, I am going to pair you with a member of the Alpha Team who is going to work with you on control. The Danger Room will be divided into small rooms in order for you to work. Each room will have a scenario customized to you. I want: Sonya working with Evelyn, Rogue working with Morgan, Gen working with Jamie, Regina working with Rachael, Jacen working with Teagan, and Blair working with me. Each scenario ends in thirty minutes and has all safties on. Today's goal is power focus and power control."

In Victoria's mind class went perfect. Although she may not have shown it physically, on the inside she was dancing with excitement. First off, she was learning to be a good mutant, well...in a way. If being a good mutant meant learning how to kick peoples arses both with and without the aid of your god given gifts, then yes, she was learning to be a good mutant. Secondly, her mentor just so happened to have the most wonderful accent. But as with all good things, they must come to an end and it did so for Miss. Dogwood...now.

"Class is over for today Miss. Dogwood," floated Mr. Wisdom's patriarch-like voice, "Meet me, same time tomorrow in the East Courtyard and this time," he paused for dramatic emphasis, "Don't be late." With those words he picked up his suitcase, nodded curtly and disappeared out the doorway, leaving Victoria to ponder all the information that had been handed to her.

(((Weird RP I know, but I needed to get her out of class and ASAP...)))

Blair zoomed in on the butterfly on the flower in the garden. Snapping the picture quickly before it flew away, a smile appeared across his pale face.

"Ms. Jean. I really do enjoy this photography class of yours...do you think we could try...uhh a graveyard sometime? I know it's an odd request, but I think black and white photos in a cemetary would look nice."

Noticing the blinking light on his comm badge on his waist and Teagan's next to him, he pressed it to listen to the message.

Nodding he looked at Teagan, setting down his camera and equipment.

"We have to go...as I'm sure you understand. Thank you very much for the lesson."

Waving goodbye to the other students, Blair and Teagan walked back inside from the garden. Blair for the first time in a while...actually felt good. What with all of the fighting, emotions, power mishaps, and near-death experiences...he hadn't seemed to be himself. And he was glad that a newfound interest in photography somehow filled that void.

"Know where the Danger Room is?"
"Not a clue."

After much searching, the two found the room just in time to hear the instructions.

"So...what is this place again? A simulator?" he said, pushing the hair out of his face to view the whole metallic chamber.

OOC: Brotherhood members, pay attention, you're about to be mobilized. X-Men shall be left in the dark for now...

We're gonna assume about a week has gone by since the Brotherhood came to the Seminary.

IC: At the close of the day, the classes were ended, and each student was gathered together into the open-air auditorium of the Seminary. Magneto himself was there to address the class, filled with almost fatherly pride as the sight of his children having grown so much over such a short amount of time. Though the progression of each class was, for the most part, a private matter, he could still see that their minds had been expanded, and their skill with their powers had all increased immensely.

"My children," He began, smiling in a way that seemed both warm and sinister. "You have all begun to grow quite well in this past week. To say that you have all surpassed my expectations would be the grossest of understatements. I have observed the growth of your strength, your skill, your minds and your pride. I would like to imagine that even in this short time here, you've come to see at least in part what it means to be a mutant, and what a dear blessing it truly is.

"However, as I'm sure you all have noted by now, you are among only a select few mutants who have been granted this level of enlightenment. And while you continue to excel, there are still many who are trapped in the proverbial dark ages. They cling to a hope that somehow, humanity will accept us. The very thought is laughable. How can we even conceive the notion of a primitive race accepting their obvious successors? They have every right to fear, because no matter how hard they try, we will most assuredly be the master race within a matter of generations. It is not out of hatred or bigotry that we do this. It is entirely evolution, and to deny it would be an affront to the planet itself."

"It is for that reason that my old, yet misguided friend's philosophy must come to an end. His teachings are not only wrong, but dangerous. They give our fellow mutant brothers and sisters misplaced sympathies, and will give those poor homo sapien beasts false hope. And as such, we will educate them. How, you ask? Well... that would be the subject of our first class project, so to speak..."

He paused for dramatic effect, and smiled. "In exactly 36 hours, you will all test your skills... as we assault the X-Men's mansion. Any questions?"

Pietro gave the plan a rather cynical eye, as it seemed far too direct for Magneto's usual schemes. "Um, no offense there dad," he began, "But in case you haven't noticed, there's quite a few more of them than us. I mean yeah, we kick a**, but they just bum-rush our asses and we'd still be in trouble. And s**t, they're mansion is a ******** fortress. How's anyone slower than me supposed to outrun all those guns and trap doors and other instruments and torture in that hell-hole?"
PostPosted: Wed Aug 10, 2005 7:04 am

Magneto smiled. "Believe me, son, I have factored that into our plan. After all, we are not looking to fight our enemies here. We are attempting to rescue our poor brothers and sisters from being brainwashed into homo sapien submission. However, you do have a good point, they will not go willingly. But that will not be a factor..."

"I've had a mole operating within the Xavier compound for just over a year now. In that time, he has become entirely accepted, even to the point where he has been allowed access to their security systems, and has even developed many of their measures for them."

"However, is greatest achievement is something that, in almost any other light, would have been an abomination. He has outfitted their security with a device that will nullify their powers, albeit temporarily, but more than long enough to allow us to, shall we say, rescue them from their current situations..."

"And now, over the course of the next day, we will be going over in great detail what each of your roles shall be. Though our challenges will be greatly diminished thanks to our friend on the inside, there will still be a fight, and I would rather this not turn into a bloodbath. This shall be a coordinated efforts, and each of your own unique skills will be necessary in accomplishing this as I have envisioned yet."

OOC: Crap. Of all the days to get a huge assignment dumped on me. I'll be back in about an hour if I'm quick about this ^_^

When Sasha heard about the assault on the x-men, her mind zoomed on Sonya. She raised her hand and spoke. "What will happen to them?" she asked, "I'm sure not all of them will come quietly.

Sonya was on cloud nine. She was soo happy that she was paired up with her idol to focus on her powers. "Oh hi Miss Penny," she stuttered a little, "It's an honor to have you train me. I have a pair of gloves that Mr. Porter had made for me. Should I wear them now or start the training without them? And what would you have me do?"

Theresa had made her way to this meeting. SHe sat and listened as Magneto spoke of how they had grown with there abilities. ANd this she had. She had learned the basics of flight. She was able to deflect projectiles that were aimed at her. But most of all she was able to talk without the whisper. But what magneto said next finally drew her over the line. SHe stands up and begins yelling very loudly.

"If you saying that we are still growing why send us to our deaths. If i remeber correctly Xavier will be able to find your mole if someone were to say somthing. I mean he is a very strong telepath. SO strong he must frighten you a great deal. WHy else do you wear such a helmet? Why only revolve around our abilities as offense and not focus with defense also? WHat if for some reason there is a flaw in your plan and there powers arent supressed as you say we will be walking to our deaths!"

Before Sonya came over to Penance she looked at Jacen, "You going to be okay with this? I think, if anything, you'll relate to Teagan well after... you know... Ahab. But if you don't want to, that's okay. I can take her on today as well."

"For somebody who tends to not like being a leader, you do this pretty well," He said into her ear as Porter was finishing his little speach.

She nodded and smiled, "Yea, it's actually kind of fun... especially when they come along like Jamie has."

Sonya came over to her just about floored that she was working with Penance. Penance was flattered in a way but not entirely sure how to take it. Not many people made their enthusiasm about her known. She wasn't used to having real students under her. When she was teaching Jamie, he was always part of her team... and she was a student too.

"First thing I need to know about you, Sonya, is your powers. I am ashamed to admit that I haven't had a chance to read your files which I usually keep up on," She needed to know more before making her decision about the gloves. She knew that Sonya had some kind of lightening abiltiies and didn't want to be flash fried for the evening.

Porter spoke to the newer students who hadn't been to the Danger Room before. Rogue had along with Gen so they kind of knew what to expect. He pointed to the control deck, "Up there is the main observation deck where teachers usually watch the simulations. There are panels in here as well that control everything tha goes on. The Danger Room is the most advanced thing you are going to see here... so best not to dwell on it. It is all holographic simulations but to a point where you think its real... even any hits you take. The sensory technology is amazing. With the safties on, nothing is lethal. Nobody here has the authorization to remove these safties so you don't have to worry."

He let the student's divide up with those they were working with. Turning on some Danger Room sequence he created different rooms for each pair to work in. Each one had a sequence that revolved around their abilities.

He had Gen working on freezing moving targets... much like her first Danger Room experience. He gave Teagan a more enclosed space to work on 'villain' targets in order to focus her abilities more. Rogue was trickier because she relied on a real person who absorb powers from. He hoped the simulations real enough that her mind would be convinced she was leaching from something real... he wanted to avoid using a live person. Sonya was to work on moving targets to harness a more direct lightening effect. Blair... he was going to be a bit different.

"What are we going to be working in on here?" Blair asked seeing the room he and Porter were working in as empty.

"Blair, I know we haven't had much of a chance to talk since you came here... how are you feeling about your powers?" Porter asked him and stood in the middle of the emptiness, "I am taking a risk today with you to help you focus. You are just going to be working with me. Our powers are quite similar so I think you will learn more from me than trying to use your abilities against holograms."

“Theresa, calm down, they aren’t going to kill us.” Courtney’s calm remarked surprised even herself, because under any other circumstances she would have bitched that girl out for being so emo. Now, though, she had a graceful manner and didn't rile up so easily, thanks to the training. Courtney did think Theresa was over-reacting, but, she did have her own hesitations for going to the X-mansion, especially since she had resided there for weeks beforehand and knew how hard-core it was. “The people at Xavier’s don’t have the balls to kill us, especially since all we’d be doing is trying to help them. And if I died, you can bet they would get sued off their asses and the whole mutant under-cover thing would be damned.” OK, so she wasn’t completely changed.

But what had been changed about Corky was more than just her passive-aggressive behavior. First, she was stronger and could feel it. And she had gotten much, much more advanced with her power’s thanks to Reagan’s illusions, which forced her to get creative fast. She was still worried about this mission, because even with the other mutant’s abilities, they were all pretty tough still. But they probably wouldn’t have to go this mission alone. Magneto couldn’t be so evil he send a bunch of teens into a place where real, full powered mutants resided, right? No, he’d have to send them in with their mentors.

Theresa looks over at the other girl. Theresa stares at disbelief. How could anyone not see all the loop holes in all this. In this school, in this mission. It is not well thought out, it was not right. Disabling mutant powers, wouldnt that go against everything Magneto is about, all she wanted now was to find her mentor and explain these things. THeresa then finally speaks out.

"I dont care if you thinkI am over reacting I think you must be really shallow to not have your eyes open to reality that this mission is going to end in failure. Seriously how many times has Magneto tried this kind of thing already? HAs he ever accomplished anything?"

"Well, I can control/manipulate and create lightning/electricity. And I have super speed too. Oh...I do have a dream ability as well but I don't use it that much," she said sadly. The memory of how her dream ability caused her suffering and the suffering the little kid from long ago ran through her mind. "Mr. Porter gave me these gloves to help me. He said not to worry cause a lot of powerful mutants have to weat some to keep their powers undercontrol. But I don't see how that would relate to me," she smiled, cheerfully and innocently as a little girl.

Magneto listened to all the questions before answering. He was more than a little bit pleased to see that at least one of his new students seemed to be showing far more than her share of enthusiasm.

"You need not worry for the safety of those you might still care about under Xavier's mind control. Once they are brought here, they will be taken care of with all the same benefits you have already enjoyed. Some of the older students may injure themselves in the struggle, but I am confident that even in their case, we can win them over. And Courtney is quite correct, Theresa, the X-Men are not killers. Even if my mole were to fail, and he will not by his very nature, those pour souls would still hold back, and therein lies our advantage."

"You ask why I wear this helmet? The answer is quite simple. While your minds are, for the moment, below his radar, we are up against an enemy who despite what he claims wouldn't hesitate for a moment to forcibly change your minds into coming over to his side. It is, after all, quite convenient how he claims to be benevolent with his gift, even though we have no way of determining whether or not this is true. The simple reality is that he has, on numerous occassions, attempted to hack into my mind and the minds of my followers through his Cerebro unit, in an attempt to force us to think his way. This shielding is the only protection we have from the TRUE threat to our free will."

He let Theresa's comment about past failures slide, as the child was obviously oblivious to her surroundings, and had taken her shelter for granted. She would learn soon enough how lucky she was. "This project will not go unsupervised, of course," he stated, maintaining his composure. "I will be coming along, and I will personally attend to Xavier's senior students, though I trust our mole will incapacitate most of them before we even get there. It will be your job to simply round up the younger, less skilled students, who will no doubt be thrown into a panic the instant the trap is sprung."

And with that, Magneto began to share individual strategies with each member.

OOC: Soon (not quite sure when, work is weird today), I'll be sending via PM a plan for how exactly each member of the Brotherhood will attack the mansion to all active Brotherhood members. This will direct our actions which will be taking place tomorrow smile

"Only if you don't want to serve us up as fried X-Men for dinner," Penance smiled and made a mental note to read this girls files. She had more powers that first realized.

She leaned against a wall for a moment in their isolated little room and thought for a second or two on the gloves. Sonya somewhat reminded her of Jamie when he first started training: lots of power potential and little control, "Leave them on. I don't think attempting to harnass the power of Zeus at the moment would be a good idea... that kind of control will take some time to gain."

"The first thing I want to work on is actually focus. You have a lot of power and a lot that can potentially go wrong if you aim or hit the wrong thing... focusing on your target is going to be key," Penance used a computer terminal to start re-programming the simulation Porter wanted her to run, "And eventually your focus will help you from creating your other mishaps... lightening strikes, broken lightbulbs."

"How hard was it to learn to focus yours?" Sonya asked putting her gloves on while Penny finished the program.

Four orbs appeared in the room with them and Penance stood between them, "The hardest part about my skill was to learn to use it to my advantage... It took me years of getting a beat down by Logan. Although, I was a lucky mutant who's nervous system mutated to handle the extra sensory mutations..." mostly...

"These are going to start moving at various speeds. Try to concentrate on one of them and focus the strike there. Lightening is a rough thing to control I've heard Ororo say... easy to miss your target. I'll keep the others a bay so you don't have to worry about more than one."
