[Dawn : Black Pearl : Pearl's Lower Decks]

Dawn continued listening into the conversation, her attention span still going in and out. She held her left arm with her right hand as she tapped the heel of her foot against the hard wood floor. She was waiting for her moment to ask Kyle, but two things were stopping for her. One, the others were around, asking their questions, she didn't want to be rude and interrupt. Second, Dawn was still seeing Ajora whenever she looked at Kyle.

~'What the heck, Sunlight. You are so annoying. Why do you got to be like this at times? He has just asked for other questions. I am sure this counts as a good time for a subject change.'~

'But Garuda...'

~'Don't but me! Just ask already! If you don't I will do so myself.~'

Dawn blinked slightly. Was Garuda serious? How would she even manage that without...

~'You don't want to test it, do you?'~

"Uh, Kyle...." Dawn finally managed to say, her eyes looking down at her feet as she rubbed the back of her left hand, "I have something I need to ask you about. I..." she paused a moment unsure of how to word what she was going to say, "...on my hand..."

She couldn't say anymore after her last statement came out in not even a whisper. Even Anthony, who was the closest to her, would of had trouble understanding what she said. Dawn closed her eyes as she shook her head. All while she held her left hand close to her chest.

[Alan :: Hawaiian Village]

So it looked like the locals were in support of the group. That was good. Alan felt a little flattered by the reception he was receiving, and even felt a little less bitter. Still, it wasn't a light matter . . . these people trusted the group - trusted him. That meant that they - that he absolutely couldn't let them down. The first question on Alan's mind was the new mystery presented - one that had dimly occupied the periphery of his awareness before, but that suddenly grew in immediacy following his conversation with the villager. What was the pirates' role in all this? They seemed to be Ooze's allies. In which case, it would be naive to assume that all they wanted was petty destruction. . .

Dani ran up and caught his attention.

“There were weird things I saw off in the distance when I was staying in Angel Grove. I couldn’t see them at the time but the space planes seemed to be having a huge air war. Do you think they could be after the aliens perhaps?”

Alan pondered for a second, but before he could answer, the villager did so for him, saying that no, they didn't seem to be after anything in particular. "Hmm. . .", he mused, "But we should probably assume they have some kind of plan. Especially if now the Tengu have joined their raids. Maybe . . . they're trying to keep the whole area on the defensive?"

[Anthony ~.~ The Black Pearl ~.~ The Brig]

Anthony wasn't totally satisfied with Kyle's answer. He was hoping for something more end game, rather than immediate. Not only that, but other than warning Atlantis of the Replica's oncoming attack there really wasn't any other way of stopping them... not yet at least. However, the information received was better than nothing. If this was all they had to go off of, they'd better make the best of it.

The warrior-knight couldn't help but laugh at Sayrike's impersonation of Yoda--which wasn't bad at all. Though her suggestion was clever, Anthony was more fearful than impressed of who might have been listening in.

His attention was then diverted to Dawn as she spoke up and called for Kyle. He half smiled as she tried to ask the spear-wielder a question, but shied away near the end, speaking so low that even he couldn't hear her and he was standing right beside her. Though, just like before, her body language made it obvious what she wanted to ask. Her meekness reminded him of his high school friends who were too shy to ask the teacher a question out of fear of being ridiculed and would ask the boy to ask the instructor on their behalf.

Anthony carefully, making sure not to touch Dawn anywhere inappropriate, grabbed the girl's left hand and pulled it away from her chest and out in front of her, then said, "She wants to know what's wrong with her hand."

[ Kyle : Caribbean : Pearl's Lower Decks ]

When Dawn spoke up, he turned his gaze to her, a mixture of curiosity and guilt on his face. She was obviously feeling pretty timid about him for a reason- one only too easy to guess. When Anthony made her intentions clear, Kyle seemed... hesitant.

"Can you take the glove off for me?" he asked, walking closer, but at a slow pace, and he would have stopped about a meter from her. She was asking about something Ajora had done to her... he'd hoped, from the bottom of his heart, that Ajora had just burned her or something... "So I can see what he did. I won't touch it unless you want me to."

[Dawn : Caribbean : Pearl's Lower Decks]

Dawn struggled a few moments against Anthony's grasp, freeing her wrist quickly from his hold. She held it against her chest and took a few moments to give a sharp look at Anthony. Why did he always have to interfere? First, on the Dutchman, dragging her back when she wanted to stay. Now he was getting Kyle's attention on what was bothering her. Dawn's eyes soon drifted away from Anthony to Kyle, as he approached. Her eyes soon looked away, as she rubbed her the back of her hand a little.

"Okay," she said in a soft voice with a little nod, as she started to remove the glove. As she took off her glove, the symbol that had been placed on her hand was reveled. She kept her eyes down, away from Kyle's and the glaze of the others in the room.

[ Ajora : Caribbean : Captain's Quarters ]

"Well, of course, ma cherie, it'd be my pleasure," Ajora said with a grin, his tone nonchalant yet sincere. He looked to the side as the door opened again, hearing the latter part of Kuro's 'kind words' to Laan; shaking his head, he released a brief chuckle.

[ Kyle : Caribbean : Pearl's Lower Decks ]

The moment Kyle's eyes fell on the symbol, he let loose a rather foul curse under his breath, namely one about an unseemly action done with someone's mother. His eyes narrowed as he analyzed the way it was seared into her flesh, looking like a black tattoo.

"That... is Ultima's Command Seal. If my guess is right, and considering she's my summon as much as his, it's essentially a piece of her magic," he explained, lifting his hand to take a look at it, only to pull it back and wrap it around his chest awkwardly. "And as her summoner, he has control over her magic..."

"Ajora wasn't threatening you when he said you'd be next," Kyle said, looking up to Dawn apologetically- as if he were giving news of some fatal disease. Of course, it all made sense now... "He was giving you fair warning."

[Jenny :: Black Pearl :: Sleeping Quarters]

Jenny nodded soundlessly as if she desperately wanting to believe Noelle's words but couldn't find it in her heart. The mage subconsciously leaned in towards Noelle's hand that was placed on her shoulder. It was so warm. Jenny clenched her eyes shut to shield against any other tears that were threatening to trickle down her cheeks. She was sure people were sick of her crying.

But behind her closed eyes, she saw Alice instead. Alice, as they all hung there suspended, their eyes fixed on this girl with so much malicious intent in her auburn eyes. Jenny remembered for that second, when her 'replica' rested her gaze on Jenny. The brown eyes that seemed like they danced with flecks of fire, staring, almost mockingly... as if to say,

'Look at who you've made me become~'

No, the guilt would not be so easily washed away. The musician opened her eyes again and turned them downwards, once again returning to the bad habit of twisting the fabric of her dress sphere. Smile. Smile for them all, or they'll just worry about you.

So Jenny smiled, or at least she tried. It was comforting at least, to be in the company of others. Less time to think about Alice and herself.

◊❖❖======₪ [Kyla: Hawaiian Village]₪======❖❖◊
Kyla finished one house, and after accepting the thanks of the residence, continued onto the next one. This one wasn’t so badly damaged, but the roof of the drive way had fallen in on their car which looked like a pancake of glass and fuel. Thankfully no one was stupid enough to light a match but they kept clear. Kyla decided this one was too dangerous to leave to be second or third.

As she began to sketch the image of a repaired garage and car- she felt a poke.
Looking down she couldn’t fight the tiny squeak escaping her mouth when she saw those adorable eyes looking up at her! Sure he had the power to lift a building and toss it, and during the first period of his life he was a chaotic monster… but he was STITCH!

Kyla’s face broke into a gleeful grin and she nodded.
“Sure-! Since your pretty tough- do you smell any fire that could set that car off?” she asked.

At closer inspection she could see a second car that was turned over. “It would save me energy if you could turn them up the right way actually.”
“If there are any major structures fallen over- yet still whole, you can move them into place for me to seal back, and it would save a lot of energy for me moving them myself.”

She took a breath, she felt pretty good still, and there were still more things to reconstruct- then maybe a break? At the beach! Oh that would be ideal, but that’s assuming they didn’t have a battle to win. As much as she longed to just see the ocean and dip her toes into the waves- she couldn’t hang around while Ivan ooze or anyone else for that matter attacked another town.

[Dawn : Caribbean : Black Pearl]

Dawn stared up at Kyle as he spoke, trying her best to keep her 'brave' face on. That was quickly faded to one of both worry and fear. She should of known that it wouldn't of been pleasant. Why did Dawn expect anything less than bad news? She felt her hand starting to shake as she held it up for Kyle to examine. If he wanted to continue looking at the symbol he'd have to hold it up, for her arm didn't hold the strength at that moment to do so.

"What-" Dawn finally managed to say as she laid her hand at her side (Unless Kyle took her hand) "What do you think he will do to me...?"

{Kuro Oni : Caribbean Sea : Dutchman Outside Captain's Quarters}

Kuro Oni paused in his steps as he heard Laan's reply. His head turning slightly as if about to stare daggers at the Death Seraph, he could definitely see his original in this boy, a fact that made the Nightmare Dreadnought's lip twist upward in disgust though Laan wouldn't see it. One hand clenching into a tight fist as he contemplated how to reply.

"I see, like your original, you think you know everything about me and my powers. Yet you know nothing about me, I was just giving you the same warning I gave to everybody else. Get in my way, and I will kill you." He replied coldly.

He then continued walking in to the Captain's Quarters without another word to the two of them.

{Leon : Hawaii: Village - > Outskirts}

Leon heard the footsteps coming up behind him, the familiar stride and weight confirming it was Cloud before he even heard him speak. He hmphed slightly in amusement at the blonde's remark, a small grin on his face as they continued to walk further away from the group. He stopped when they reached the outskirts of the town. He leaned his back against one of the nearby palm trees, crossing his arms over his chest, his gunblade stuck in the soft sand.

"So these kids... what do you think of them?" He asked the Buster wielder, his eyes closed as he relaxed against the tree.

[Nick :: Angel Grove :: Hawaiian Village]

Nick sighed at the quietness of the village. It wasn't as entertaining as he thought it would be, despite the supposed battles between the space pirates and the space police. Yet, despite all of these battles, the town was barely hit. He honestly would have expected more with Ooze's birdmenthings involved.

"...This is boring. Now we just need to wait for some other magical creation to show up and crush us mercilessly. Ha ha ha, so excited." Nick muttered sarcastically, turning his gaze towards Kyla and Stitch. If that little monster was here, then more trouble would no doubt be on the way.

[Quistis :: Black Pearl :: Below Deck]

"Leon's with your allies? That works out quite well then. I'll follow along with your group until we meet up with him." Quistis stated, but suddenly quieted down as Kyle spoke of the Replicas and their origins. It was an interesting story, but the question remained on how they were going to defeat them.

Then a girl came over and displayed an interesting mark on her hand. Quistis frowned, eyeing it with suspicion. It was definitely different, and Kyle looked like he was about to be violently ill. This girl was going to be in serious danger. When it came, Quistis would be ready. She had decided to follow this group, the least she could do is help out in any way she could.

[Cloud : Hawaii : Village -> Outskirts]

Leon's question evoked a memory of the Kurt Zisa battle. In less than a second the images flashed through his mind, moving in an order reverse to how they had occurred, and stopping at one in particular. Amy shooting the final blow, Kyla casting the glyph, walls of fire, tornadoes. . . it slowed down on Jon's face, the one that most called Kichi.
"Go."

The memory shifted to another. The fireworks yard, a glob of darkness taking form. The Red Rose, a hand held out. Alan's hand. The vividness of the memories faded, and Cloud saw (or rather, remembered) black.
"...until you find your own light, you can always borrow mine."

"They remind me of someone," Cloud answered.
"I'll help you fight him if...when he comes back."

Leon had no way of knowing what Cloud was thinking, and Cloud, not wanting the spot light on him, as it were, (especially considering Leon had something on his mind) turned the question right back to Leon. "What do you think of them?"

[Kichi :: Hawaii :: Village]

Kichi had held back in the fight, choosing to protect the children and the church, seeing as he was still somewhat in shock from seeing Alan's wounds from Kai's attacks previous. He also followed in silence as they crossed through the portal to the other side of the mountain, and into the Hawaiian village. He somehow even stayed quiet as Cory wormed his way into the group. Listening quietly as the questions were asked and answered, he didn't notice Leon and Cloud wander off.

What he did notice however, was when the villagers became grateful...Alan seemed to gain a lot of confidence and determination. He had sensed how much Alan had been...upset the past day. It was fairly obvious to him, having lived with Alan for months. This was an upturn. And the cause was obvious. How could Kichi have let that slip by him?

He looked down, about to berate himself mentally....when he realized that would help less than anything. So, he looked back up, and thought hard. "Yes, that could be it...Hmmmm...Yeah, that could make a lot of sense. 'The best defense is a strong offense' could be their strategy. They try to keep us busy defending, so that they can worry less of us taking the offensive. Then again, that could be a front, and they could just have manpower to spare. ...Or Tengu-power as it may be. Bu then why would they try to minimize losses? Of course...it looks like the Space police have this area mostly handled...Hmmm... I'm no strategist...What do you think?" He glanced at everyone, before giving Alan a look of confidence, as if saying 'I know you can figure something out.'

((Muhahaha, we get to see how crappy my posts are when I'm sick and drugged out of my miiiiiiiiiind~ n_n))

{Bobbi, Demyx .:. Hawaii .:. Village Center}

Bobbi looked around at the destruction of the town, taking in what the villagers and her companions were saying. She wasn't liking the looks of this, but then again, she wasn't liking most of what was happening in this adventure anyway.

"Doooood, yeah, the beach, man! Hot babes in swim suits, cold drink, the sun, the sand, the surf... I vote we all go there and just cool off for a bit!"

I vote you stop being an imbecile, Bobbi thought, but kept her mouth shut tight on the words. She had no idea what everyone else went through since the main group had been split in two. For all she knew, they desperately needed a beach vacation right about now. Instead of making any scathing remarks, though, she walked up to the group talking to the villager, and decided to add her own two cents.

"I really hate saying I don't know what you guys are talking about," the Archer said, "but I don't know what you guys are talking about. Still, though, lemme see if I have things straight. We have space pirates running amok, the Galactic Federation or whatever they're called that Stitch came from is helping the villagers here, and something wonky is going on in the city we just left. I dunno whose side Axel was on in the first place, but I do know that Yuffie isn't one of the bad guys here, and yet she was still attacking us, so something is royally effing with her mind or something. And did I hear someone say something about Ivan Ooze? Isn't he that guy that controls people's minds with purple snot? And that girl who came in near the end and started blasting us to pieces looked an awful lot like Terra..."

After ticking off the points on her fingers (and running out of fingers on one hand and switching to the other), Bobbi looked around at everyone.

"I know I missed a lot since I stayed with the train when we all split off, and I kind of went out of commission for about a day," she admitted. "I don't know what I'm missing here, but I know it ties in with everything else that happened lately. And guys, there's another thing. Mickey didn't just up and disappear. He's gathering armies. We're at war, you guys."
