The Gladiator just stared at the spear with a dull expression.

The other Gladiators decided to just watch instead of jumping in...
"Yeah? I have another idea..." the Gladiator said, pulling out the spear and pointing it at Atella.

"That works too I suppose." Atella smirked as she lowered her stance, prepared to fight now.

The spear was then flipped around so that the blunt end was out in front.

The Gladiator then lunged at her, acting like it was still a spear and thrusting it towards Atella's stomach.

Atella responded by smacking the end of her spear against the Gladiator's, lowering it down so the end went into the ground between her legs. She then copied his attack, stepping over the spear so she was no longer above it, lunging for his chest.

The Gladiator then released his spear for a moment before pushing hers away with one hand while punching Atella in the stomach as she came in close. Hard.

When her spear was pushed, Atella quickly released one hand from it, punching the Gladiator in the throat at the same time he punched her stomach. Due to the blow to her stomach though, she hunched over after the blows.

The Gladiator let out a hard cough, backing up from the blow.

"Dropped your weapon.." Atella grunted, picking up his spear as she remained hunched over.
She then slowly stood up, staring at the Gladiator before casually tossing him back the spear before returning to her fighting stance.
