"A tour? Um...sure. This version of New York is kind of different than mine, so I'll probably only be able to show you major landmarks and such." Alex replied.

"Ooh! Ooh! Do you have the Museum of Natural History? The Statue of Liberty's here too, I know, and-- and, uhh... What else... OOH! Central Park! I wanna go to Central Park!" Lucas said, jumping up and down like an excited toddler.

Alex let out a quick snort and threw a hand over her mouth to try and cover her giggling. "Alright, alright...let's see what we run into first." she replied, a little twinkle in her eyes. Wow. He really was excited about being here.
...kind of cute, actually. And he was in a good mood again.

As they walked out of the alleyway, Lucas got his first good look at how big New York City really was. "Wow... this place is huge! Nothing like home!" he said to Alex, looking around at the city; the lights, the noises, the people in the streets and the cars on the roads. He nearly got runover as he walked across the road, not paying attention to where he was going.

Alex grabbed the edge of his sleeve and gently pulled him back. "Easy there big guy. Practically no one here stops unless it's a red light. No need to bust up cars." He really was star struck. Maybe walking wasn't the best option right now...or she'd just have to make sure she had ahold of him so he didn't walk in front of traffic. Or get lost.

Lucas gave an embarrassed chuckle. "Yeah, sorry. I've just... always wanted to go here..." he said softly, still looking around.

Alex paused for a moment in thought. "Well...there are a couple things we could do then." she began. "With the merging worlds and all...I'm sure there's some kind of tour bus or something around. Completely new cities and people would equal more tourist attractions, I'm sure. Figure there's got to be some kind of tour of new york that you don't need to have a reservation for. Or, we could just keep walking around. City shouldn't be too different, I'd know my way around. Or, we could find a tall building and try to discreetly land and I could try and point out landmarks from there."

"But... I wanna explore," Lucas replied, looking at Alex with doe-eyes, and looking for all the world like a little boy begging his parent to let him do something "fun".

Alex grinned. "Alright. We'll keep walking then. But try keep your eyes on where you're going. I don't want to have to walk you down the street on a leash."

Lucas grinned widely. "SWEET! This is gonna be awesome!" he said, before he started to jog, weaving through groups of people as he moved, acting like a little kid for the first time in a long time.

Alex's grin quickly vanished and her eyes widened. "Wait a minute!" she called out. But...he was already gone. She hissed something under her breath and chased after him. She felt really stupid chasing after a twenty-something year old. Especially since he could take care of himself. He got lost, he could fly now. Didn't mean she'd be able to find him though if they got separated. If he ran out in front of traffic though...ugh.

Lucas, too excited for his own good, ran into an alley and tripped, falling face-first into a puddle of dirty water. He got up, coughing and sputtering. Luckily, it hadn't gotten on his clothes.

Alex caught just enough of a glimps between the crowd to see Lucas dart into an alley. She ducked over to the wall of a building and ran up against it to avoid the crowd and swing into the alley. She took only two steps after swinging in to stop. Staring at Lucas and his mud covered face, she face palmed. Quite literally.
"I"m serious about putting you on a leash." she muttered.

Lucas shook the dirty water off his face. "Woo! Man, that s**t's dirty!" he said, grimacing slightly and then as he looked to Alex he got a big, s**t-eating grin on his face.
