Maggie nodded. "Eseptos... is where I can deal with the source. This beast will be greatly disrupted if I could instantaneously be far, far away. It would disable it for quite some time, actually, I would imagine."
"That is," she added, "assuming that either of you care to help me. I've done nothing for either of you...."
Blake suddenly felt much, much better. No, he was still wounded, but something in his mind - it had felt like a heavy fog, cluttering his thoughts - just dissipated. "She's not here." He murmured with realization.
Somehow, Blake knew that something very, very wrong had just occurred. Something greater than he, surely. "MARTH!"

Infinity's visor turned to Maggie, "Your entity is psycokinetic energy. I can deal with such creatures. As it doesn't exist at the time I come from, I can destroy it without causing a paradox." He looked at Kira then, "You don't need to utilize a Novias portal. I can open a window for you. However, I must disrupt the creature before I do this."
Infinity' arm opened small slits, from which metallic fluid oozed out, foming and solidifying into a weapon, the purpose of which wouldn't even be dreamed of for at least another year. Novias energy seemed to gather around the weapon on Infinity's arm, adding more power to the machine.
"I have successfully created a psychokinetic energy disruptor, which has been modified to yield far more damage on this creature in this area. Novias energy is called Celestial energy by the Pyresians, and they were one of the few races to actually create fields of immunity from it."
Infinity looked up, as if tracking something. "I have detected the entity." He pushed off the ground and shot up into the air, making an attack at it.(not from his weapon, but from a pistol-like thing.)

Maggie stood back, looking up, watching the robot commence its attack. She had no idea what it could or would do, and no idea how the entity would react. She didn't realize what happened, either, until she was already under the entity's control. With a seething scream, Maggie (now surrounded in a purple aura) thrust her arms into the air, causing the Infinity robot to suddenly be propelled far into the air by a raging cyclone of kinetic energy... farther... farther... but then Maggie dispersed the energy around her. She was trying to fight it. She was trying to control it. "N-no!" She shouted, doubling over in the effort it took to resist the creature's psychic grasp.
Then, with effort and pain, Maggie turned her head skyward, shouting, hoping the robot could hear her. "D-don't let it touch you! It'll become... unimaginably strong...."
Of course, she was referring to her earlier statement; that the entity would grow more powerful than the Infinity unit completely, if the robot attacked and failed to disperse it in one hit. A pistol blast didn't count; it had to be physical contact or with a more... special, weapon, for lack of a better way to describe it. This liquid-metal disruptor weapon would, if it failed to work immediately, grant the entity such power, strength and size that it would become so large, the disruptor couldn't even affect it any longer.
And then, if the entity contacted Infinity, then it would gain twice the amount of power that Infinity possessed. Where this power came from, Maggie did not know. All she knew was that it wasn't osmosis.
Even if the beast was 'disrupted,' it would only return again later. When dormant, it slowly, steadily drew strength from Maggie, until it was strong enough to emerge once again.
And the shamans on Eseptos... they who practiced the Dark Arts... were responsible. They might possibly have devised the perfect weapon; something that cannot die, for it is reborn, and stronger than before. Something that gains strength from every encounter with adversity.
Or it might not have been devised by the shamans... only unleashed. They had chosen Maggie as the tool for its resurrection... but another question remained. While it was dispersed, if Maggie died, what would happen to it...?
((Well, with Spi being MIA most of the time, we've hardly advanced with the Atlantis/Jupiter plot. But Maggie, Vexis, Layla/Kira, and Spi's time-traveling robots are having a heck of a side-plot at the moment.))

"There are two methods... if this creature does double my power, it will not be able to contain it..." The Disruptor glowed with ungodly power. "It will cause a second Big bang, and obliterate the life in the universe. I already carry vast amounts of energy to manipulate the timestream..." Infinity shot away from the entity, enveloping it in a warp field of his own creation, effectively trapping it in a slower timeframe. Then he moved the disruptor up to bear, "It WILL not survive. I have analyzed it thouroughly." Something... wrong... shifted in front of Infinity He fired straight into it. The... wrong thing vanished, as well as his attack (which was really bright) The weapon slid back into his arm, and he moved like a conductor. several of these unnatural things surrounded the slow-time shere, until it was entirely surrounded.
It became unbearably quiet until Infinity spoke. "Power = 4 mol(x)-K/G x = disruptor power = 1,500, K=atmosphere 1, G=portal distance from weapon= 3... Power level exceeds needed level of 1,421,982,090 to effectively disrupt.
As Grand Admiral Jad said, 'No kill like overkill' "
The robtwaved again, and all the portals fired into the slow-time envelope, but the attacks were condensed, hiding the entity on all sides in a prison of anti-psychokinetic energies.
(Mwa-ha-ha. I even used the power of math. Now it is officially screwed. or it's not going to recover from THAT anytime soon!)

Maggie inhaled sharply. Through her link to the beast, she knew what was going to happen only moments before it did... and could do nothing to prevent the catastrophe.
The psychogeist massively expanded itself, until it was completely pressing its unbelievable power against the walls of the 'sphere.' Something was beginning to happen... but, too quickly for the beast, the disrupting energy drove into its core.
This magnified its already berserk energy.
The sphere didn't break. It didn't crack, or open, or dissipate. It completely vanished under forces too powerful to comprehend. Well, maybe not for Infinity, which was a futuristic being. But for Maggie, and anyone else, since she was more in sync with this creature than anyone or anything.
No amount of analyzing would be able to understand it as efficiently and profoundly as Maggie did. And yet, she could not understand what she had known what was about to happen. Should not, would not, could not.
With an agonizing, blood-curdling, bone-breaking, flesh-crawling scream, the psychogeist completely blew up.
Its massive energy went in all directions. Maggie was picked up and thrown. Far, far, far, far, far away.
Not even Infinity would be able to withstand a force that was so powerful, before it had multiplied with the same robot's power. That was mathematical logic. ((XD))
But this was not the terrible thing that began to happen.
The Novias stream began changing color... changing into purple. Every particle of it, every where. The disrupted energy absorbed into the streams... changing them, transmuting them....
Maggie knew not what the Novias streams were actually comprised of. But from what she had gathered from Layla, Infinity, and Kira, this was a decidedly bad turn of events.
The geist had infected the Novias stream.

Infinity's visor, which had been an unemotional black, seemed to clear. behind it were a pair of icy blue eyes, almost human, but too cold and dead to possibly be human.
"There was a 1.2% chance of this happening, but the conclusion was the same... the psychogeist was disrupted, though I should have moved the location... The unaffected strands of the novias stream... the Timelocked lives are still unaffected directly, though it would seem intersecting pathways are... This error must be mended... Pyresian technology may be immune from the Novias stream, but those who don't contact with it... this could prove rather disastrous."
A shimmer in the air appeared near Infinity, a white armored being, not another Infinity, this one had prismatic wings, appeared. It spoke in a familar voice, to be exact, Jad's voice.
"Infinity, You've really screwed up. You need to fix this..."
"Greetings to you as well Grand Admiral. How did this affect the timeline?"
"You're lucky we all use Pyresian Tech in the Republic! We just lost contact with the entire Delta Galaxy. It was just gone!"
"Apologies. Did the council convene?"
"Damn right we did. Luna's ecstatic."
"Not a good sign..."
"Yeah. My point exactly. The council's ruling is that you need to fix this before chaos takes control here, or do you need something?"
"I would like the Temporal Hunter now. Loaded with my other armors. This task will take some work."
"Done." The winged Grand Admiral from the future shimmered away, and a massive break in the sky shot out a large white bulbous starship, it's sides coved in large glowing purplish gems.
"The detection units already picked up the corruption... I need to repair the Novias energies before they're utilized..."
(Jad from the future! Telling Infinity stuff! [retro eerie music] . )

Maggie was trembling. Wherever she was. In space, now. She was blown completely out of the atmosphere. She hoped Kira was all right.
What now? she asked herself. She was going to run out of oxygen very soon... too soon... and then she would die. She was already too far away from Novia/Nova. She was going to die.
Then Maggie noticed that she was glowing. Not the bright, luminescent blue that she usually did, when performing psychic feats, but... pure white. Her skin had completely changed. She was, indeed, a pure-white being, now. And she was glowing.
She didn't even resemble Maggie anymore. The same face, and the same anatomy, including her tail... but she just looked like a different species than Eseptian, altogether.
She didn't even feel like Maggie, whatever that meant.
Maybe she wasn't 'Maggie' anymore. Maybe... this was the true "Iluclaara."
Maggie didn't know why she thought this, but then again she didn't really know anything anymore. All she knew was that she was going to die.
The Novias stream continued to become infected, at an alarming rate. The disrupted energy wasn't gone, per se, but still flying outward, in all directions, infecting more as it went.
It seemed that, with its final burst of energy, the psychogeist had made sure its energy would still live on.
Annoying as it may be, this 'substance,' these... particles of an entity, were now a new state of matter... energy, becoming matter. They were unpredictable... and then, the entity's particles passed through stars, as well.
It obtained the power of plasma.

Kira had been watching the whole conundrum unfold from her distance, her blue aura seemed to have protected her from anything that might have happened. 'The stream...its been contaminated...' Kira's turquoise eyes gleamed ever so lightly with the left-over Novias energy within her. She glanced down at the ground for the moment, then looked back to the darkening sky. "Please...don't interfere with the Novias stream any more than you already have..." Kira said to Infinity rather soft-spoken. "...It gave me this power...and its my duty to give it back." Kira's bluish aura formed into wings on her back, the rest of it formed into a bubble around her head. '...I may not be able to do this alone...I need Rosa's help with this one...' Kira took off into the sky above in a sudden burst of blue light, leaving Nova and off towards the Atlantis.

It had been almost two hours she'd been staring out the main window and the gas planet in front of them with no movement so far. She sighed and picked up the communicator and dailed to Jad's frequency. "C'mon Jad. It took us a long time to get here. What's the hold up?"
