Maddy is just sitting there, not really caring where she is. "Ok, this is getting very weird..."

Me: I would have to agree.

"Brian?" Ginji asks as he stirs. "I don't think focusing is such a good idea..." he says as he tries to block out all the energy signatures emanating from Brian so Ginji doesn't become crazy too.

After flying through the mysterious green haze for what felt like days, I found no sign of either the Kyogre Jet or the Mini. Suddenly, the Arwing emerged from the twisted space and back into reality. My instrument panel showed I'd been inside for less than 24 hours.

"Okay, now I'm getting weirded out by this gob. I must've been in there almost a week looking for the team's jets, but it's only been a day? What's more, I couldn't find any trace of anything in there, like a big empty ... eeegh...." Just trying to imagine what it was gave me the creeps.

I decided to wait and see what happened. To that end, I flew the Arwing into orbit and trained all my sensors to the cloud and surrounding airspace.

MISSION- New Shadow on the Horizon
An evil gym leader has taken over Rustboro.Your mission is to go and beat the goons and the leader. (You will face 3 goons and the leader)

Pokemon:
None

Money:
1200

Item: Shadow Stone Badge

Even though I haven’t been in HQ for awhile I have been keeping track of new happenings through my computer and the first thing that caught my eye was the recent crime sprees in the Hoenn region and the abduction of each of the city’s gyms that followed. Seeing that I am on a unwanted vacation I decided I should spend my time investigating these crime waves and eventually attempt to put an end to them.

As every good adventure begins I should start in the first Hoenn gym located in Rustburo city. Its now about 6pm and I begin to pack up my stuff and check out of the cheap motel I have been staying at for the past week or so. Once I had paid for my stay I walk outside and board Tropius heading for my destination. I didn’t have much with me at the time, only a few days left worth of food and my pokemon team.

After an hour or so I finally reached Rustboro and the first thing I did once there was rush into the Pokemon Center and set up my team figuring that I was going to have to battle my was through this and that more than likely the goons had set up base in the gym. I set up my team as if I was going to challenge the real Rustboro gym, with many ways to tear down rock types, bringing with me: Sneasel, Grovyle, Froslass, Shellder, Ninetails and Clamperl.

I left the Pokemon Center with my team’s pokeballs in hand and walked slowly toward the gym that almost gave off an ominous feeling. As I reached the entrance I was greeted by two underlings working for the supposed “gym leader” who challenged me to battle just like any other normal gym. I wasn’t very surprised by this and just passed it off as another normal battle, making the first move myself sending out Clamperl and Shellder not expecting very much of my opponents and just using my weaker pokemon earlier saving my real powerhouses for the leader. The two goons then each sent out one pokemon a Shuckle and a Sudowoodo and the battle began. Even though my pokemon were very slow they easily out sped any rock type and both of my pokemon let out a tag-team ice beam attack at Shuckle dealing two devastating super effecting hits KOing it in one turn but at the same time leaving Sudowoodo open to attack but I wasn’t expecting much from it. To my surprise Sudowoodo used an impressive Wood Hammer attack on Shellder and didn’t even take and recoil damage from it due to its unique body structure. Shellder was definitely KOed by the attack even though I couldn’t see clearly at the moment due to the debris in the air so I waited a few seconds for the dust to settle then recalled the fainted pokemon and sent out Froslass trying to avoid the foe’s interesting move pool. As the new turn started the goon who had already lost a pokemon sent out his last pokemon, Burmy, which coated itself with the debris from the last attack and turning it part ground type. I quickly ordered Clamperl to use iron defense to protect itself from another possible Wood Hammer which was quickly followed by a Blizzard attack courtesy of Froslass which put an end to Burmy and defeated the first goon who really didn’t put up much of a fight, in fact didn’t even get a move in at all, and left the playing field a two on one fight.

Sudowoodo was able to get out of the way before the Blizzard attack hit and countered with another Wood Hammer on Clamperl who was already prepared for the hit and managed to stay able to battle but not for much longer. Sudowoodo starting to feel the tension of the battle was starting to tire out leaving him open to an onslaught of attacks, Froslass then started out with ice beam attack leaving Sudowoodo frozen solid giving Clamperl the opportunity to scurry over and Clamp on to one of its arms leaving it incapable of using another hand based attack for the moment. Sudowoodo unable to move for a few turns as Froslass stored energy for a final attack and Clamperl restored health with its aqua ring move waiting for it to thaw out. Once Sudowoodo started showing signs that it was beginning to thaw out I called over to Clamperl to move as far away as possible as Froslass slowly moved toward Sudowoodo preparing the finishing blow. Clamperl came back a few feet and stood at my side still restoring HP and looking almost healed while Froslass unleashed an avalanche of ice chunks snow and hail on the head of Sudowoodo KOing it and leaving the goon pokemonless granting me passage to finally enter the gym.

As I entered the gym and took a look around there was an official battle field and another goon waiting for me on the opposing side readying for a battle. Seeing a Roxanne look-alike in the back of the gym figuring that was the leader I figured I had to fight one more goon to get to her which actually was getting quite annoying. Before the battle started the ceiling folded in revealing a moon lit battle stage filled with boulders and sand pits, perfect terrain for any rock or ground type which I had none of. Looking up and seeing the stars reminded me that Sneasel needed a nighttime battle to evolve properly so I decided to send him out first and play it from there.
Sneasel: finally I am some use to you
Me: you wana evolve or don’t cha
Sneasel: Evolve?
Me: yeah like Treeko and Vulpix did
Sneasel: I DON’T WANT NO GIANT LEAF ON MEH HEAD!
Me: I don’t think it would turn out like that….
Sneasel: well, how the hell do you know.
Me: just trust me
* opponents Aron rushes at Sneasel with a Headbutt attack and misses by an inch*
Me: now just shut up and battle look we already missed the first attack and getting a chance to see his first pokemon for that matter
Sneasel: whaaatever *goes off and swings a brick break attack at Aron nearly KOing it*
Sneasel: see what a pushover *opponents Aron uses another Headbutt and this time it hits*
Sneasel: owww u meanie
Me: see you have to pay attention out there
Sneasel: shut up <_< *ice punches Aron KOing it then turns around and uses Icy Wind on me leaving a pile of snow at my feet*
Me: you have some mental problems, could you just TRY to battle allready
Sneasel: Fine, GOD, if its that important to you
Me: Oh before I forget u need this, *tosses a razor claw on a bracelet chain to Sneasel* its for evolution just put it on and shut up
Sneasel: well Treeko didn’t need one of these when he evolved
Me: well your special
Sneasel: yay
Me: *cough*idiot*cough*
Random goon: WOULD YOU TWO SHUT THE HELL UP AND BATTLE ALLREADY
Sneasel:*puts on Razor Claw* im ready when you are loser
Goon: I think you should be keeping your mouth shut, in fact ill take care of that for you *sends out next pokeball and a Bastiodon appears in a blinding light*
Me: heh you asked for it now Sneasel, but I still think you can take em, good luck.
Sneasel: I don’t need no stinkin luck *lets out a very impressive Brick break attack showing that he is close to evolution and at least halves Bastiodon’s health*
*Bastiodon lets out a horrifying screech bringing Sneasel to his knees while covering his ears*
Me: GET UP OR GET HURT YOUR CHOICE! *attempting to shout over the terrible noise, but it was to late and Sneasel had already been slammed up against the far wall dealing a large amount of damage*
Me: *as the screech wanes but I still have to shout over the noise of the echo* COME ON HE’S WEEK ANOTHER HIT AND YOU GOT IT!
Sneasel: *struggles to get his right hand free and succeeds revealing a smirk on his face and letting out a dynamic Brick Break attack leaving a dent in Sheildon’s shield which could be seen from across the room and also leaving it unable to battle*
Me: *starts clapping* I have to say that was your most impressive show yet and as soon as were able to get back to HQ you should be able to evolve, just remember to keep that claw on.
Sneasel: will do, but now I need a nap *runs over and grabs his own pokeball from my pocket and returns himself*
Me: oh well I cant complain he deserves it, *yells across room again* HEY, YOU ROXANNE PHONEY COME ON ITS YOUR TURN
*the lights turn off momentarily and turn back on just as quickly revealing the leader in the middle of the arena sending out her first pokemon*
Me: not much of a talker are ya, fine by me *sends out a slightly injured Froslass just as she sends out her first pokemon, Probopass*

Froslass was able to get the first attack in and begin the battle with a ice beam which didn’t do much damage and just left a small frozen patch on the side of Probopass not doing much damage. Probopass then countered with Magnet Bomb almost KOing Froslass and leaving me with a slight problem underestimating her strength. Froslass then did the only thing she could do as a last resort and readied a destiny bond ensuring that Probopass will faint along with her and it was a success once Probopass finished her off with stone edge unknowingly taking itself down with her and leaving us both one pokemon down. We then went on to round two Grovyle Vs. Donphan and if its anything like I regular gym battle I only had one round to go and one step closer to figuring out this puzzle of town abductions. Donphan began spinning in place before Grovyle could attack and reflected his soon to follow leaf blade, Donphan’s spinning maneuver then turned into a rolling ball of destruction sending Grovyle flying, but Grovyle quite used to heights by nature was able to grab onto a nearby wall lessening the impact damage and setting him up for a perfect aerial ace attack which landed with a critical hit evening out the dealt damage. Before Donphan’s next rolling attack could hit Grovyle had already retreated to another wall safe from almost all of Donphan’s attack leaving it completely useless and open for attacking. Grovyle then landed the final blow with yet another aerial ace attack leaving Donphan unconscious and putting me in a short lead.

The Roxanne imposter then sent out her last pokemon, a Mawile, which caused a problem seeing that I only had one move that would actually do substantial damage to it but I had to be on the ground to even do that. Grovyle did the only thing he could do seeing that it was back on its perch on the wall and started to shoot off Bullet Seed attacks which continuously missed due to the distance and even the ones that did hit did barely any damage. Then something caught me by surprise the Mawile turned around to its second jaw and sent out a flamethrower attack sending Grovyle to the ground in a ball of fire finishing him off. I had to be cautious about my last pokemon so I decided just to go for a sweep and take the type advantage so I sent out Ninetails but also stayed wary of the other tricks it may have up its sleeve. Ninetails then sent out her own flamethrower attack which was quickly countered by Mawile’s flamethrower that ended up as a stalemate in the center of the gym even causing a molten sand pit in the center. Ninetails then called off her attack and dodged out of the way of Mawile’s flamethrower which was still going and countered with a trick of her own. Ninetails then used Confuse ray to convince the foe to walk toward the superheated sand that was just starting to cool and after a few moments of sinking in the sand Mawile was halfway incased in glass leaving it immobile and just snapping out of its confusion. After Mawile came to its senses it began to panic not sure on what to do and randomly started to shoot all of its powerful attacks at the chunk of glass one of which was a hyperbeam directly at its own reflection in the glass bouncing back perfectly hitting itself square in the face shattering the glass but knocking itself unconscious in the process and clearing the gym for me.

The lights then went out yet again this time slightly longer but once they came back on all the grunts were gone including the impostor Roxanne leaving me all alone with one small object on the floor where the leader was standing. I walked over to see what it was in better light and it looked exactly like a regular stone badge but it had a black outline, I thought to myself if this had significance so I picked it up to bring it back to HQ for further examination, but I guess we cant be to sure what or who is behind all of this until all of the other gyms are taken care of…

I take a slow moonlit walk back to the Pokemon center where I got all of my pokemon healed and informed the nurse who worked there that the town is safe again and its ok to reopen the gym for further use, just watch out for broken glass…. I leave the center not saying much more after a few minutes of pondering what lies in my future next, board my Tropius and returned to HQ for a visit

IMMMMM HOME, well just visiting *leaves mission report on kitchen table and goes to get a snack* GOD im starving, is anyone here..... did i miss something important *looks at calender* poop i missed Tenticruel time oh well they should be back soon, they are kinda allready late....

*leaves a sticky note attached to the bottom of my mission*
P.S. if its not to much to ask i have a trade to be verified if someone has the time to take a look at that also...

MISSION- New Wave of Poaching
We've found out why these Pokemon have been attacking people! A group of poachers have some new equipment that is giving off some kind of wave! The wave is upsetting the Pokemon and causing them to attack! The poachers hideout is somewhere on Route 115! Your mission is to go and destroy that new piece of equipment they've got! You will fight 4 poachers and their leader. Each poacher has two 1st stage Pokemon, the leader has 3 fully evolved Pokemon.

Pokemon:
Any non evolved, non legendary Electric, Water, or Grass type Pokemon.

Funds:
2300-3100

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Background: After much arguing about to whom Ginji’s affiliation lied, Brian_Link had given him a level four mission to complete. Interestingly enough, Ginji liked this mission and decided to take the mission.

It was dark in the room. Silent too. Ginji’s ideal setting. He loved the dark, even as a little kid, but today was all about the fresh green grass of Route 115 and the stone mountainside of the surrounding area. A scene the blonde boy loved a bit too much.

He got out of bed and headed for the door, ignoring the sounds coming from the mess hall, he snuck out of the Aqua HQ and into the world. The Hoenn region was beautiful this time of the morning. Ginji always loved traveling and today was no exception, so he headed for the foot ferry terminal to gain quick access to the rest of the mystical continent.

When the blonde boy docked in the city of Slateport, he set off on his Pigeot to carry him the rest of the way. Flying high above the clouds, the team soared off into the distance, leaving the other trainers on the boat green with the envy of Ginji’s skill at flying and at Pokemon Training. They arrived in Rustboro what seemed like minutes later, but time blends into itself while flying with tailwind on your side.

The giant bird touched down and a townie screamed and ran away from them. “?” Ginji thought as he watched the girl with purple braids run as fast as she could to get away from them. An elderly man promptly approached with a sad look on his face.

“We’re sorry for her actions, the Route just north of us has been infested with poachers lately, and they’ve got a weird signal ray that makes wild Pokemon go berserk. Some of our townsmen have been attacked, including that girl’s brother. She saw the whole thing.” The old man explained with a solemn undertone.

“How unfortunate” Ginji said in a hard voice. It wasn’t his problem, he didn’t care if a boy got attacked and some purple haired girl was traumatized for life. He sighed, if he thought much more he’d start growing grey hairs extremely premature.

After returning Pigeot to its Pokeball, the blonde boy walked off into the distance, headed towards Route 115. The sun was still shining on this part of the world, which made Ginji almost smile, except he was on assignment, it was not suppose to be fun. Yet it somehow was, Ginji was becoming soft, but that was not necessarily a bad thing.

Route 115 was a green as it has ever been, there were sounds all around. Ginji wondered over the Route and eventually came to a clearing. Except this clearing was not clear, but it was occupied by four men and a tent. The men were surprised to see someone walk up on them.

“Eh boss, we ern’t pecting oh till marrow” The tallest and bulkiest of the bunch grunted.

BOSS?! Ginji thought, and then he decided it’d be best to pretend he was their almighty leader, seeing as they have probably never seen their actual leader before… “Why yes, it is me! Your Boss!” Ginji took the time to stress every syllable, and to speak with impounding authority.

The three other men rose from their positions and greeted Ginji with the most hospitality he’d seen since he joined Rocket a few years back. They brought him steak, the finest wine, and showed him to an extra tent they had set up that came full with a Jacuzzi tub. He was living the life, well, the life for a day anyways.

“I need to see your progress.” Ginji said to the man that seemed to be in charge, “And I need to report back to my subordinates to see if you are worth the salary I’m paying for you.”

“O urse “ the man said as he brought out a cage with a Swablu in it.

“A Swablu?” Ginji said skeptically. “This is what I’m paying you for!!!” This caused the man to look fearful as if for his life. He apologized abruptly.

“E’re orry Ir” He said as he signaled for the others to come in, “Ut e ave een orking n nther oject.” He started to smile, “Ollow e” The five people left the Swablu and headed towards Meteor Falls. Before they go to the edge of Route 115, the guide hit a button that looked like a rock. The ground opened up and a giant mechanical satellite dish came slowly up. “His s a artical isruptor. Auses Okemon o ou razy! Nd e an lso se t o ake okemon o u ridding!”

“That’s nice and all, but I think a tiny adjustment needs to be made…” Ginji said as he grabs a pokeball from his belt. He tosses it into the air and Lairon appears in a flash of light. Lairon then proceeds to attack by bashing with multiple Take Down and Metal Claw attacks.

The poachers screamed in terror that their beloved leader turned out to be a fraud and sent out two Pokemon each. Ginji was surrounded; it looked like a six on six battle was inevitable. He smirked wickedly. “Let’s dance.” he said as he tossed the remaining five Pokeballs from his belt.

Dragonair, Lairon, Pikachu, Pigeot, Houndour, and Wailmer VS. Raichu, Weavile, Mr. Mime, Rhydon, Pupitar, and Mothim.

-Round 1-

Dragonair is looking healthy as a horse! The orbs around its body lit with a faint yellow color before unleashing a devastating Thunder on Mothim. The super-effective blow dealt devastating damage to Mothim!

The weak Mothim used Bug Buzz on Lairon, doing little damage. Lairon took minimal damage.

Lairon is looking very healthy still. Anger swells as Lairon’s claws gleamed in the afternoon sunlight as it leaped at Mothim, unleashing Metal Claw. Moderate damage was dealt to Mothim who promptly fainted.

Raichu’s tail glows bright yellow as a bolt of Thunder fell from the sky onto Wailer who barely hung on to consciousness.

In a last effort to do some damage, Wailmer gathers its remaining energy to unleash a Hydro Pump upon Rhydon, doing a massive amount of Super-effective damage. Rhydon roars in pain and prepares a retort.

Weavile lashes out on Pikachu with a Critical Slash attack that would make Edward Scissor Hands proud, doing an extreme amount of damage to Pikachu.

Pikachu is infuriated by the Weavile’s cheap hit strikes Mr. Mime with a valiant Thunderbolt, causing high level damage to the opponent.

A damaged Mr. Mime’s hands glow a faint purple color as Dragonair goes flying into the nearest rock with Psychic, causing minor damage to the dragon Pokemon.

Houndour summoned torrents of flames to encircle its body as it rushed towards Mr. Mime to avenge the shot at Dragonair. Unleashing a devastating Flare Blitz, Mr. Mime fainted and Houndour took recoil damage upon impact.

A fresh Pupitar rushed at Dragonair, using a Takedown. Upon contact, Pupitar’s hard shell caused massive damage to Dragonair, while taking minor damage itself.

In a last effort to do the most damage to all the Pokemon on the field, Rhydon pounded the ground with a mighty fist and unleashed an Earthquake. Earthquake hit all the Pokemon except Pigeot, who was flying overhead at the first sign of a ground type move. Knocking out both friend and foe, Rhydon looked overjoyed at the turmoil caused by the massive blow.

Pigeot flew from the heavens and unleashed a Brave Bird attack on Rhydon to prevent the same maneuver twice by the heavyweight Pokemon. Rhydon promptly fainted after roaring into the late afternoon light.

-Round 2-

The claws of an extremely weakened Lairon glow once again with the shine of the sun as it prepares to attack Raichu. Success, Raichu is downed by the fateful hit!

A ball of dark energy gathered in the palm of the tired Weavile’s hand. The dark Pokemon continued to expand the energy before releasingit upon Lairon. The attack hit and Lairon fainted with a faint roar of agony.

Houndour, knowing that the end was indeed upon him, used the rest of his flame to ignite a hearty Flamethrower on Weavile, who promptly got out of the oven by fainting.

Being tactical, the Pupitar that was in the red zone, used the type advantage sheet to its advantage by throwing rocks at the flying Pigeot. Later, more rocks joined in and a Rock Slide was created! The super-effective hit almost took Pigeot out, but Pigeot managed to hang on!

A HP Critical Pigeot swooped out of the sky at lightning speed, Pigeot attacked once again with Brave Bird! The effect was overkill; Pupitar was hurled into the nearest object, in this case, the burley poacher, before being knocked out cold.

“OOOOOOOOOOO!” the burley poacher screamed into the night time air as the other poachers returned their Pokemon. He then stepped up as the others fell back towards the tents. “T’s y urn ow!” he said as he tossed out two Pokeballs. A Metapod and Kakuna appeared in a flash of brilliant white light.

Houndour starred blankly at the opponent’s Pokemon, wondering whether to feel sorry for them or to show no mercy. Ginji almost burst out laughing. The only thing holding him back was the fact that his last two Pokemon were nearly out.

Pigeot, being the senior Pokemon to Houndour attacked the Kakuna with a vicious Aerial Ace, knocking the Pokemon into Metapod. Both Metapod and Kakuna let loose a String Shot that wrapped around Pigeot, making it unable to move! Pigeot struggled to get free, but eventually was overtaken by the bug-type Pokemon’s strategy.

Unfortunately for Kakuna and Metapod, that strategy wouldn’t work on Houndour as he was a fire-type that could easily melt the strings with his fire-breath. Nimbly dodging the incoming string shot attacks, Houndour shot a stream of steady fire at the two chrysalis Pokemon. The attack hit and sent both Metapod and Kakuna into the black for a knockout. As the two developing Pokemon screamed to themselves in agony, the burley trainer recalled them.

“You have bested me.” He said in perfect English. “Our true leader will be here tomorrow. You will fight him, and you must win for us. He treats us like crap and gives us negative vacation time! If you win, we will give you all the tea in Hoenn!”

“Hoenn has tea shoppes?” Ginji asked apathetically.

“I thought you would feel that way.” The burley man said as he grabbed a piece of the nearest scrap metal and before Ginji could react he knocked Ginji to the floor. “Take his Pokemon and heal them up good” was the last thing Ginji heard before slipping of into oblivion.

When Ginji awoke he was not in his bed. Too bad too, it would have made for an incredible dream. He touched the back of his head which was still slightly tender due to the impact. Also an extreme headache stopped him from looking at bright lights for too long. The blonde boy grabbed his Pokeballs that were lain out on the table, all polished and ready to be thrown into battle. He grabbed the balls and exited the tent.

As he looked at the sun with a squint he heard the noise of a helicopter buzzing overhead. It landed nearly directly in front of Ginji and out stepped a man in a white cloak and long silvery black hair. This man was possibly the most evil man to walk the face of the earth. This man had been Ginji’s archrival for years. This man had harnessed the power of the Black Rare Candies and forced his Pokemon to evolve into hideous creatures devoid of emotion.

Ginji snarled slightly as he named the hideous creature. “Kenny. So glad you could make it.”

“Ginji? Imagine seeing you here in this dump of a wasteland.” Kenny retorted and waved Ginji away as if in annoyance to a bug of flea. “I suppose you’re the one who has been messing with my troupe.” He almost smiled as he led Ginji to a large battlefield drawn in the grass of route 115. “I assume you know the rules by now. Three Pokemon of our choosing fighting one on one battles where the best two out of three wins, except this time you will not thwart my plans.” An evil aura that could overthrow Satan’s himself enveloped the stage and the field was plunged into the deepest blackness the world has seen in a long time.

From within that darkness A faint light appeared, the light of a Pokemon being released from its slumber. A dark Pokemon awakening from its slumber roared and flew down from what seemed like the heaven on Kenny’s side of the field. He was playing his trump card early. Black Dragonite. Ginji had to counter, but how? The obvious choice had to be Dragonair, actually, it was his only choice considering his team.

Dragonair unleashed a deadly Ice Beam attack the second it was free from its Pokeball. Dragonite countered with a burst of thunder from its wings, ramming itself directly into the Ice Beam’s way. What resulted was an explosion of cold electricity, making it near impossible to see. Dragonair flew up into the sky and used another Ice Beam in Dragonite’s general direction, this time the attack hit its mark, causing a severe burn on Dragonite’s skin.

Dragonite roared in pain and unleashed a Hyperbeam attack at Dragonair, there was no time to dodge and Dragonair was sent hurdling into the boarder between yellow and red. The last attack of Dragonite’s took a number on its own physical condition due to the after effects of the Dark Rare Candies. Dragonite bent itself over as Dragonair readied a Hyperbeam of its own.

The effect was devastating, with pinpoint accuracy, Dragonair hit the exact spot as it did with the Icebeam earlier in the battle. Dragonite roared once again in pain before epically falling and fainting. Kevin scowled and returned the Dragonite to its black pokeball.

“I’ve told you a thousand times, and I’ll tell you again. Black Rare Candies are good for short term power, but cause various long term effects!” Ginji yelled across the void while retuning Dragonair to its Pokeball, but Kenny just ignored him and sent out yet another Pokemon.

A White Blastoise roared in the agony of being brutally controlled by a selfish master who had no regard whether he lived or died. Obviously, Ginji sent out his Pikachu to fight. Pikachu let loose a thunderbolt, but it did little to no damage on the white Blastoise. The oversized turtle roared again and sent a ginormous torrent of water Pikachu’s way. Pikachu dodged with Agility and sent another Thunderbolt Blastoise’s way. A silvery outline appeared around Blastoise as Pikachu’s attack was rocketed back at it. Mirror Coat. Pikachu couldn’t take anymore as it fainted slowly towards the ground.

Ginji Returned Pikachu and held his head in fear. How had Blastoise resisted the thunderbolt? It made no sense. Kenny continued to laugh evilly as he switched Blastoise with a Green Milotic. The darkness around the arena was getting deeper, darker, all around scarier. Ginji knew this last battle would hold the balance on the universe, maybe that was a bit dramatic, but at least it was almost true. Perhaps it was Ginji’s universe he was referring to. Perhaps. The blonde boy reached towards his belt to grab another Pokeball. Without touching it, Lairon appeared before him, ready to fight with all he had.

Lairon started with a horrid Metal Sound to lower Milotic’s Sp. Def. The Green Milotic screeched as all the other Pokemon had roared before, before releasing a Razor Leaf attack. This epically confused Ginji, how could Milotic use or even learn Razorleaf?! “The answer must be in the rare candies!” Ginji said to himself triumphantly. “That’s why Blastoise wasn’t affected by the Thunderbolts! It must have been part ground type!” Ginji smiled as he could use this to his advantage.

Too bad Lairon couldn’t learn any fire moves…unless. “Lairon! Use Hidden Power!” he screamed as Lairon unleashed a devastating fire type blast of energy. Milotic screeched again, before rushing at Lairon using a devastating Hydro Pump attack. Lairon barely blocked with a Substitute, as the torrent hit Lairon’s Substitute broke. After the last attack, Milotic was getting very tired, while Lairon was almost fresh. Milotic sent out another powerful Hydro Pump, Lairon used Substitute again and it promptly broke a second time. All this time Lairon was gradually regaining HP from the leftovers it was carrying. The third Hydro Pump from Milotic was not so fortunate, it veered off course and missed Lairon completely. This was the Iron Armor Pokémon chance, after another powerful Hidden Power by Lairon, Milotic was hurdled past the red and into the fainted area. Kenny reluctantly returned Milotic and disappeared without a word, taking the darkness with him.

As the arena cleared, it became apparent that Ginji was all alone in the field. He needed to get to a Pokecenter fast. Lairon grunted, and Ginji rode on its back to the nearest Center. As he arrived, the old man from the beginning of the mission appeared. “You defeated them whippersnapper?” he asked in a condescending tone.

“Yeah, I guess you could say that.” Ginji replied, wishing he had REALLY defeated Kenny instead of letting him escape.

“Then you should take this if you can defeat it.” He smiled as he threw a Pokeball onto the area beneath Ginji. “It’s my prized Seedot. It belongs with you, if you can defeat it.” The old man then started doing a weird dance and random handstands. At that moment the Pokeball exploded and a Seedot appeared, reluctantly, as if he wanted to please the old crazy man, he sent out his Houndour.

Houndour had the type advantage so he started off with a lethal Ember attack. Seedot countered with a ground type Nature Power. This diminished the ember attack and hit Houndour, knocking him into the edge between green and yellow. Houndour leapt up onto its feet and rushed Seedot, and used Bite. Seedot flinched as its HP went down towards the yellow. Houndour then followed up with a Flamethrower which finally brought Seedot into the red. Ginji threw a Great Ball at Seedot just to be sure he caught it. The ball wiggled a few times, back and forth, back and forth, until it was still. A soft ding sounded as the ball rushed back to Ginji’s hand.

Ginji just stared, hoping the old man would just disappear. It didn’t happen, so he released Pigeot and started to fly towards home. As he left the ground he shouted “Thanks for the Seedot old man!” and he and his Pokemon flew into the Sun.

*Turns to Ginji's previous question*
Me: Its highly doubtful that you'll go as bad as me. I just got a concentrated dose of Tyspum a few months back, and I have reason to believe that this... place we're in is having a fun time with my body because of it.
*Sees two missions*
Me: Well time to grade.

Fail, Mawile wouldn't KO itself with a Hyper Beam, first of all because of horrendous Special Attack(Though it does have bad Special Defense) and because I don't think Hyper Beam would reflect. Everything besides the Ninetales/Mawile was awesome though.

"Oh okay." Ginji says as he concentrates on not unconcentrating, if that makes any sense. "Wow, I thought that was my mission being graded for a sec, I didn't see 'Mawile' at first" He laughs waiting for his result.

Ninetails then used Confuse ray to convince the foe to walk toward the superheated sand that was just starting to cool and after a few moments of sinking in the sand Mawile was halfway incased in glass leaving it immobile and just snapping out of its confusion and leaving physical attacks out of the question. Mawile finally regaining some sense of its surroundings attempted to struggle out of its situation but failed miserably leaving itself wide open for an onslaught of attacks. Mawile managed to fend off a few attacks countering with its own but eventually met its downfall from a unavoidable close range Overheat attack leaving it in a puddle of remelted glass unconcious and leaving me with a victory.

P.S. if its not to much to ask i have a trade to be verified if someone has the time to take a look at that also...

i fixed up the battle a bit but i dont know why that random idea popped into my head, but i thought it was funny just throwing it in there, eather way the ending was fixed up a little i hope its better.

*Sends Porygon2 to HQ's computer to print out and attach the grade*

I hope Brian doesn't mind me stepping in on this one, since he graded your first attempt. Since he said the only issue was Mawile KO'ing itself with a reflected Hyper Beam, and you fixed it up, I'm inclined to say you pass.

But I will take a moment to point out a couple areas where you could improve for your next mission. Shuckle, Bug/Rock, is not weak to Ice. However I will grant that having two attacks like that come in at once might be enough to KO such a low-HP target.

When it comes to Burmy, it's always a pure Bug-type. Only when the female evolves to Wormadam will she take on a second type.

Finally, you could have just let Ninetales take Mawile's Flamethrower. Flash Fire will block all damage and amp up Ninetales' own fire attacks!

In any case, you've now got one of the Shadow Gym Badges. Good luck with the others! (And you might also want some sunglasses next time you let Sneasel out to play)
