The Crossed Fox LOTS OF STUFF I WROTE, BLAH BLAH BLAH. Oh wait.
Edit: And this is my way of solving the problem, for myself. Walking away, is the most non-controversial way of dealing with it I can think of, not calling it out and causing more problems than needed. ... It's fine to support ending things that are only causing problems, because they aren't going to make anything productive. So I can't say I'm upset about our fight being locked since I wasn't having fun to begin with and it freed from the responsibility of doing something I really wasn't to interested in.
But before people want to present their retarded side of the story, they need to get what actually happened right first. If they could do that, or even better, keep their baseless opinions out of something that's none of their business to begin with, then it'd eliminate a lot of problems. ^-^

I'll only say stuff towards TCF because to be fair, I addressed him earlier. The Crossed Fox No no no, you misunderstand me completely. I could care less whether I win or lose in this tournament, nor any tournament. I just disagree with a few things that are going on in this guild is all. Snow has done an exceptional job at kicking my a**, and I firmly believe he has made this more of an entertaining fight than I ever could. There is nothing wrong with withdrawing from a tournament based on ones personal feelings and uncomfortable thoughts. In fact, I don't know why you said half of the things in that rant (most likely based on assumption rather than hard fact). I never stated it was about victory or defeat; it's the fact you cut short a fight due to your unwillingness to continue, and cited it in the thread towards reasons such as how the tournament is ran improperly, which I obviously already raised my grievances with.Quote: I understand that everyone has their flaws too, and I wasn't specifically pointing out Vintrict of all people. I walked away from this fight not because I didn't want to follow through with it, but instead it was because of the several things that are in my head here. The GTB itself, I can agree is a nice place and everything, it's just some things do need to be changed, for the fairness of judging a fight. And we all know the best solution to achieve those results is to quit and leave, right? And folks wonder why so many potentially decent tournaments dissolve into chaos; it's as much the drama and raging as it is folks not giving enough of a damn to make it work.[Throws a rock.] H-GNGGGGG!Quote: I've been roleplaying for Three years straight under this character, so I know what you mean by "Pansy acts" and what not. But again, there is nothing wrong with walking away from a fight because of personal feelings. I mean, if I would've thrown an ooc b***h fit at Snow, then everything above and more would've been well warranted. Instead, I simply gave you all my feelings about the tournament as a whole, and why I would be withdrawing from it. Nothing about Snow kicking my a** and me not agreeing with it, and nothing about fairness in my fight, just fairness in general. While I respect you not resorting to a lashing of anger, you again must realize you've:
A. Cut his participation in Round Two short due to your own dislikes of the tournament. B. Cited several (partially true partially false) things you feel are wrong with the tournament, and then turned about-face and walked off.
That is what got me irritated about it; I've seen so many people willing to flat-out badmouth deals like this, but when when it comes to helping make it better so situations like this don't repeat themselves? They couldn't be assed to do a thing. Easier to walk away and dust their hands off.
That attitude- not just in roleplays of this ilk but upon life in general, I really, really, really have a strong hatred towards. To have the ability to change what is flawed (or at least enough knowledge you can influence it), and willingly choose not to is just infuriating to me; you seem relatively reasonable enough that I'm sure you can see my point.
You took one step forward by not allowing your anger to get the best of you, but six steps back by not channeling that anger in a constructive manner, and instead going "THIS IS WHAT I FIND WRONG WITH THIS, AND- ... good luck and g'bye. [Flags a cab down.]"
I won't touch the other argument just spawned with a 27' pole with an Exacto-knife attached.

I agree with Fier on this one.
He summed it up perfectly.

...Wow. Between the resignations/etc and speculations on matches where people stopped posting, half the fights are already decided.

Just means that only the truly determined will remain for Round three.
The people that are actually fun to play with.

Round 3 will definately be better.
Less chance for no shows, and possibly little to no bullshit and BAW.

C'mon Damon.
There will be BAW and there will always be BAW.
But at least once we get to Round three it'll be those that are interesting that remain.
You know...
I've actually gotten pretty lucky with my opponents so far.
Both were literate, intelligent, and neither starting BAWing at any point in time.
God I hope that this continues on through the Tourny.
