As I return from a sight-seeing trip around the outer planets, I look out my Arwing's canopy and notice a curious green blot in the ocean. My scanners confirm two jet trails leading into the area, as well as high levels of radiation, but little else. I'd heard Tentacruel Prime had been in that part of the ocean lately, so I decided to check things out.
"Okay, shields to maximum, G-Diffuser checks out. Time to see what's up."
On approach, further scans identify the two jet trails as the Kyogre Jet and one of its Mini counterparts.
*Over the radio* "Hello? Hello? Brian? Anyone, if you're recieving this transmission, please respond!"

Ginji of Thunder Brian_Link *I then get a dazed over look in my eyes and pass out* "BRIAN!!!" Ginji yelled, as he jumped to the comm "pleh su esaelp!" As the garbled message comes through, I can barely hear it over the static. However, the urgent tone convinces me to act. *Muttering to self* "Shields, don't fail me now." So I steer towards the greenish mass and follow the Kyogre Jet's trail into the unknown. *Comm* "...xrrthzzz..." "Dang, lost the signal. I hope they're alright."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MISSION- New Wave of Poaching We've found out why these Pokemon have been attacking people! A group of poachers have some new equipment that is giving off some kind of wave! The wave is upsetting the Pokemon and causing them to attack! The poachers hideout is somewhere on Route 115! Your mission is to go and destroy that new piece of equipment they've got! You will fight 4 poachers and their leader. Each poacher has two 1st stage Pokemon, the leader has 3 fully evolved Pokemon.
Pokemon: Any non evolved, non legendary Electric, Water, or Grass type Pokemon.
Funds: 2300-3100 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Background: After much arguing about to whom Ginji’s affiliation lied, Brian_Link had given him a level four mission to complete. Interestingly enough, Ginji liked this mission and decided to take the mission.
It was dark in the room. Silent too. Ginji’s ideal setting. He loved the dark, even as a little kid, but today was all about the fresh green grass of Route 115 and the stone mountainside of the surrounding area. A scene the blonde boy loved a bit too much.
He got out of bed and headed for the door, ignoring the sounds coming from the mess hall, he snuck out of the Aqua HQ and into the world. The Hoenn region was beautiful this time of the morning. Ginji always loved traveling and today was no exception, so he headed for the foot ferry terminal to gain quick access to the rest of the mystical continent.
When the blonde boy docked in the city of Slateport, he set off on his Pigeot to carry him the rest of the way. Flying high above the clouds, the team soared off into the distance, leaving the other trainers on the boat green with the envy of Ginji’s skill at flying and at Pokemon Training. They arrived in Rustboro what seemed like minutes later, but time blends into itself while flying with tailwind on your side.
The giant bird touched down and a townie screamed and ran away from them. “?” Ginji thought as he watched the girl with purple braids run as fast as she could to get away from them. An elderly man promptly approached with a sad look on his face.
“We’re sorry for her actions, the Route just north of us has been infested with poachers lately, and they’ve got a weird signal ray that makes wild Pokemon go berserk. Some of our townsmen have been attacked, including that girl’s brother. She saw the whole thing.” The old man explained with a solemn undertone.
“How unfortunate” Ginji said in a hard voice. It wasn’t his problem, he didn’t care if a boy got attacked and some purple haired girl was traumatized for life. He sighed, if he thought much more he’d start growing grey hairs extremely premature.
After returning Pigeot to its Pokeball, the blonde boy walked off into the distance, headed towards Route 115. The sun was still shining on this part of the world, which made Ginji almost smile, except he was on assignment, it was not suppose to be fun. Yet it somehow was, Ginji was becoming soft, but that was not necessarily a bad thing.
Route 115 was a green as it has ever been, there were sounds all around. Ginji wondered over the Route and eventually came to a clearing. Except this clearing was not clear, but it was occupied by four men and a tent. The men were surprised to see someone walk up on them.
“Eh boss, we ern’t pecting oh till marrow” The tallest and bulkiest of the bunch grunted.
BOSS?! Ginji thought, and then he decided it’d be best to pretend he was their almighty leader, seeing as they have probably never seen their actual leader before… “Why yes, it is me! Your Boss!” Ginji took the time to stress every syllable, and to speak with impounding authority.
The three other men rose from their positions and greeted Ginji with the most hospitality he’d seen since he joined Rocket a few years back. They brought him steak, the finest wine, and showed him to an extra tent they had set up that came full with a Jacuzzi tub. He was living the life, well, the life for a day anyways.
“I need to see your progress.” Ginji said to the man that seemed to be in charge, “And I need to report back to my subordinates to see if you are worth the salary I’m paying for you.”
“O urse “ the man said as he brought out a cage with a Swablu in it.
“A Swablu?” Ginji said skeptically. “This is what I’m paying you for!!!” This caused the man to look fearful as if for his life. He apologized abruptly.
“E’re orry Ir” He said as he signaled for the others to come in, “Ut e ave een orking n nther oject.” He started to smile, “Ollow e” The five people left the Swablu and headed towards Meteor Falls. Before they go to the edge of Route 115, the guide hit a button that looked like a rock. The ground opened up and a giant mechanical satellite dish came slowly up. “His s a artical isruptor. Auses Okemon o ou razy! Nd e an lso se t o ake okemon o u ridding!”
“That’s nice and all, but I think a tiny adjustment needs to be made…” Ginji said as he grabs a pokeball from his belt. He tosses it into the air and Lairon appears in a flash of light. Lairon then proceeds to attack by bashing with multiple Take Down and Metal Claw attacks.
The poachers screamed in terror that their beloved leader turned out to be a fraud and sent out two Pokemon each. Ginji was surrounded; it looked like a six on six battle was inevitable. He smirked wickedly. “Let’s dance.” he said as he tossed the remaining five Pokeballs from his belt.
Dragonair, Lairon, Pikachu, Pigeot, Houndour, and Wailmer VS. Raichu, Weavile, Mr. Mime, Rhydon, Pupitar, and Mothim.
-Round 1-
Dragonair is looking healthy as a horse! The orbs around its body lit with a faint yellow color before unleashing a devastating Thunder on Mothim. The super-effective blow dealt devastating damage to Mothim!
The weak Mothim used Bug Buzz on Lairon, doing little damage. Lairon took minimal damage.
Lairon is looking very healthy still. Anger swells as Lairon’s claws gleamed in the afternoon sunlight as it leaped at Mothim, unleashing Metal Claw. Moderate damage was dealt to Mothim who promptly fainted.
Raichu’s tail glows bright yellow as a bolt of Thunder fell from the sky onto Wailer who barely hung on to consciousness.
In a last effort to do some damage, Wailmer gathers its remaining energy to unleash a Hydro Pump upon Rhydon, doing a massive amount of Super-effective damage. Rhydon roars in pain and prepares a retort.
Weavile lashes out on Pikachu with a Critical Slash attack that would make Edward Scissor Hands proud, doing an extreme amount of damage to Pikachu.
Pikachu is infuriated by the Weavile’s cheap hit strikes Mr. Mime with a valiant Thunderbolt, causing high level damage to the opponent.
A damaged Mr. Mime’s hands glow a faint purple color as Dragonair goes flying into the nearest rock with Psychic, causing minor damage to the dragon Pokemon.
Houndour summoned torrents of flames to encircle its body as it rushed towards Mr. Mime to avenge the shot at Dragonair. Unleashing a devastating Flare Blitz, Mr. Mime fainted and Houndour took recoil damage upon impact.
A fresh Pupitar rushed at Dragonair, using a Takedown. Upon contact, Pupitar’s hard shell caused massive damage to Dragonair, while taking minor damage itself.
In a last effort to do the most damage to all the Pokemon on the field, Rhydon pounded the ground with a mighty fist and unleashed an Earthquake. Earthquake hit all the Pokemon except Pigeot, who was flying overhead at the first sign of a ground type move. Knocking out both friend and foe, Rhydon looked overjoyed at the turmoil caused by the massive blow.
Pigeot flew from the heavens and unleashed a Brave Bird attack on Rhydon to prevent the same maneuver twice by the heavyweight Pokemon. Rhydon promptly fainted after roaring into the late afternoon light.
-Round 2-
The claws of an extremely weakened Lairon glow once again with the shine of the sun as it prepares to attack Raichu. Success, Raichu is downed by the fateful hit!
A ball of dark energy gathered in the palm of the tired Weavile’s hand. The dark Pokemon continued to expand the energy before releasingit upon Lairon. The attack hit and Lairon fainted with a faint roar of agony.
Houndour, knowing that the end was indeed upon him, used the rest of his flame to ignite a hearty Flamethrower on Weavile, who promptly got out of the oven by fainting.
Being tactical, the Pupitar that was in the red zone, used the type advantage sheet to its advantage by throwing rocks at the flying Pigeot. Later, more rocks joined in and a Rock Slide was created! The super-effective hit almost took Pigeot out, but Pigeot managed to hang on! A HP Critical Pigeot swooped out of the sky at lightning speed, Pigeot attacked once again with Brave Bird! The effect was overkill; Pupitar was hurled into the nearest object, in this case, the burley poacher, before being knocked out cold.
“OOOOOOOOOOO!” the burley poacher screamed into the night time air as the other poachers returned their Pokemon. He then stepped up as the others fell back towards the tents. “T’s y urn ow!” he said as he tossed out two Pokeballs. A Metapod and Kakuna appeared in a flash of brilliant white light.
Houndour starred blankly at the opponent’s Pokemon, wondering whether to feel sorry for them or to show no mercy. Ginji almost burst out laughing. The only thing holding him back was the fact that his last two Pokemon were nearly out.
Pigeot, being the senior Pokemon to Houndour attacked the Kakuna with a vicious Aerial Ace, knocking the Pokemon into Metapod. Both Metapod and Kakuna let loose a String Shot that wrapped around Pigeot, making it unable to move! Pigeot struggled to get free, but eventually was overtaken by the bug-type Pokemon’s strategy.
Unfortunately for Kakuna and Metapod, that strategy wouldn’t work on Houndour as he was a fire-type that could easily melt the strings with his fire-breath. Nimbly dodging the incoming string shot attacks, Houndour shot a stream of steady fire at the two chrysalis Pokemon. The attack hit and sent both Metapod and Kakuna into the black for a knockout. As the two developing Pokemon screamed to themselves in agony, the burley trainer recalled them.
“You have bested me.” He said in perfect English. “Our true leader will be here tomorrow. You will fight him, and you must win for us. He treats us like crap and gives us negative vacation time! If you win, we will give you all the tea in Hoenn!”
“Hoenn has tea shoppes?” Ginji asked apathetically.
“I thought you would feel that way.” The burley man said as he grabbed a piece of the nearest scrap metal and before Ginji could react he knocked Ginji to the floor. “Take his Pokemon and heal them up good” was the last thing Ginji heard before slipping of into oblivion.
When Ginji awoke he was not in his bed. Too bad too, it would have made for an incredible dream. He touched the back of his head which was still slightly tender due to the impact. Also an extreme headache stopped him from looking at bright lights for too long. The blonde boy grabbed his Pokeballs that were lain out on the table, all polished and ready to be thrown into battle. He grabbed the balls and exited the tent.
As he looked at the sun with a squint he heard the noise of a helicopter buzzing overhead. It landed nearly directly in front of Ginji and out stepped a man in a white cloak and long silvery black hair. This man was possibly the most evil man to walk the face of the earth. This man had been Ginji’s archrival for years. This man had harnessed the power of the Black Rare Candies and forced his Pokemon to evolve into hideous creatures devoid of emotion.
Ginji snarled slightly as he named the hideous creature. “Kenny. So glad you could make it.”
“Ginji? Imagine seeing you here in this dump of a wasteland.” Kenny retorted and waved Ginji away as if in annoyance to a bug of flea. “I suppose you’re the one who has been messing with my troupe.” He almost smiled as he led Ginji to a large battlefield drawn in the grass of route 115. “I assume you know the rules by now. Three Pokemon of our choosing fighting one on one battles where the best two out of three wins, except this time you will not thwart my plans.” An evil aura that could overthrow Satan’s himself enveloped the stage and the field was plunged into the deepest blackness the world has seen in a long time.
From within that darkness A faint light appeared, the light of a Pokemon being released from its slumber. A dark Pokemon awakening from its slumber roared and flew down from what seemed like the heaven on Kenny’s side of the field. He was playing his trump card early. Black Dragonite. Ginji had to counter, but how? The obvious choice had to be Dragonair, actually, it was his only choice considering his team.
Dragonair unleashed a deadly Ice Beam attack the second it was free from its Pokeball. Dragonite countered with a burst of thunder from its wings, ramming itself directly into the Ice Beam’s way. What resulted was an explosion of cold electricity, making it near impossible to see. Dragonair flew up into the sky and used another Ice Beam in Dragonite’s general direction, this time the attack hit its mark, causing a severe burn on Dragonite’s skin.
Dragonite roared in pain and unleashed a Hyperbeam attack at Dragonair, there was no time to dodge and Dragonair was sent hurdling into the boarder between yellow and red. The last attack of Dragonite’s took a number on its own physical condition due to the after effects of the Dark Rare Candies. Dragonite bent itself over as Dragonair readied a Hyperbeam of its own.
The effect was devastating, with pinpoint accuracy, Dragonair hit the exact spot as it did with the Icebeam earlier in the battle. Dragonite roared once again in pain before epically falling and fainting. Kevin scowled and returned the Dragonite to its black pokeball.
“I’ve told you a thousand times, and I’ll tell you again. Black Rare Candies are good for short term power, but cause various long term effects!” Ginji yelled across the void while retuning Dragonair to its Pokeball, but Kenny just ignored him and sent out yet another Pokemon.
A White Blastoise roared in the agony of being brutally controlled by a selfish master who had no regard whether he lived or died. Obviously, Ginji sent out his Pikachu to fight. Pikachu let loose a thunderbolt, but it did little to no damage on the white Blastoise. The oversized turtle roared again and sent a ginormous torrent of water Pikachu’s way. Pikachu dodged with Agility and sent another Thunderbolt Blastoise’s way. A silvery outline appeared around Blastoise as Pikachu’s attack was rocketed back at it. Mirror Coat. Pikachu couldn’t take anymore as it fainted slowly towards the ground.
Ginji Returned Pikachu and held his head in fear. How had Blastoise resisted the thunderbolt? It made no sense. Kenny continued to laugh evilly as he switched Blastoise with a Green Milotic. The darkness around the arena was getting deeper, darker, all around scarier. Ginji knew this last battle would hold the balance on the universe, maybe that was a bit dramatic, but at least it was almost true. Perhaps it was Ginji’s universe he was referring to. Perhaps. The blonde boy reached towards his belt to grab another Pokeball. Without touching it, Lairon appeared before him, ready to fight with all he had.
Lairon started with a horrid Metal Sound to lower Milotic’s Sp. Def. The Green Milotic screeched as all the other Pokemon had roared before, before releasing a Razor Leaf attack. This epically confused Ginji, how could Milotic use or even learn Razorleaf?! “The answer must be in the rare candies!” Ginji said to himself triumphantly. “That’s why Blastoise wasn’t affected by the Thunderbolts! It must have been part ground type!” Ginji smiled as he could use this to his advantage.
Too bad Lairon couldn’t learn any fire moves…unless. “Lairon! Use Hidden Power!” he screamed as Lairon unleashed a devastating fire type blast of energy. Milotic screeched again, before rushing at Lairon using a Frustration attack. Lairon barely blocked with Iron Defense, minimizing the damage received by the Milotic’s hate for its evil trainer. After the last attack, Milotic was getting very tired, while Lairon was almost fresh. After another powerful Hidden Power by Lairon, Milotic was hurdled past the red and into the fainted area. Kenny reluctantly returned Milotic and disappeared, taking the darkness with him.
As the arena cleared, it became apparent that Ginji was all alone in the field. He needed to get to a Pokecenter fast. Lairon grunted, and Ginji rode on its back to the nearest Center. As he arrived, the old man from the beginning of the mission appeared. “You defeated them whippersnapper?” he asked in a condescending tone.
“Yeah, I guess you could say that.” Ginji replied, wishing he had REALLY defeated Kenny instead of letting him escape.
“Then you should take this if you can defeat it.” He smiled as he threw a Pokeball onto the area beneath Ginji. “It’s my prized Seedot. It belongs with you, if you can defeat it.” The old man then started doing a weird dance and random handstands. At that moment the Pokeball exploded and a Seedot appeared, reluctantly, as if he wanted to please the old crazy man, he sent out his Houndour.
Houndour had the type advantage so he started off with a lethal Ember attack. Seedot countered with a ground type Nature Power. This diminished the ember attack and hit Houndour, knocking him into the edge between green and yellow. Houndour leapt up onto its feet and rushed Seedot, and used Bite. Seedot flinched as its HP went down towards the yellow. Houndour then followed up with a Flamethrower which finally brought Seedot into the red. Ginji threw a Great Ball at Seedot just to be sure he caught it. The ball wiggled a few times, back and forth, back and forth, until it was still. A soft ding sounded as the ball rushed back to Ginji’s hand.
Ginji just stared, hoping the old man would just disappear. It didn’t happen, so he released Pigeot and started to fly towards home. As he left the ground he shouted “Thanks for the Seedot old man!” and he and his Pokemon flew into the Sun.
