You also never really needed to use Pummel except in the one story-required fight.
You just start off and go straight to Aura Bolt.
Then Fire Dance (or aura bolt again if there's fire-absorb enemies like in the gate cave).
Then Suplex/Fire Dance depending on number of enemies.
Then Air Blade.
Throw in Mantra now and again.
And then everything else is worthless because Bum Rush is an automatic 9999.

So, wait, Civil War was sparked by Nitro blowing up a bunch of kids? Why the hell didnt anyone ever do that before?
And why the hell is Firefox telling me Nitro isnt a real word? This built in spell checked is handy, but it sure is uppity sometimes.

Yeah, except he does ANYTHING BUT. He just spins around them in circles.
Sabin was still my favorite character, though.

I remember the ghost train the most. Because my party was Edgar, Sabin, and Cyan. Everybody else was barely used. I think I had Terra in there too, just to cast magic.
Like I needed it.

Terra - Attack
Locke - Capture
Edgar - Chainsaw
Sabin - Bum Rush
Banon - Health
Celes - Attack
Cyan - Quadra-Slash
Shadow - Attack
Gau - M. Tek Armor RAGE
Mog - Plains dance
Setzer - Slot
Relm - Draw
Strago - Hell if I know, I never used the old b*****d. Probably GRAND TRAIN that you get from Hiddon
Umaru - BERZERKER (of course, with rage ring and blizzard orb)
Gogo - Bum Rush
Leo - Shock!!
...with Ultima thrown in now and again as needed. Anyone in my party who was just regular attacking would also get Offering and Genji Glove, with Atama Weapon in one/both hands.

I remember Phunbaba. Because it was just so stupid. And the Zone Eater. [edit] And Ultros, and Mr. Choupon, and Death Gaze [/edit] My party was Terra (attacker, using Offering/Genji when able), Locke (using Genji/Thief Glove and boomerang weapons to do the double-mug from the back row), Sabin (bum rush), Gogo (bum rush). [edit] Or I'd use Shadow, just to have him at the front of the party. And sometimes Umaru because it's important to have an abominable snowman in your party. [/edit]

font's different, they actually call cyan's stuff "bushido" rather than "sword tech"... even some quirky things like the font layer hiding some of the smoke in the intro sequence were still there. so yeah.
