Markus smiled faintly, his world fading, he knew he hit Siyo, he went down kicking... He was being kept above the abyss though, something seemed to be stopping him from dieing, it wasn't Cailfis, he was screaming to be let out. It was...something else, and he didn't know what. He just lay there under the large willow tree, and watched as the murky world kept running.

Markus coughed, openeing his eyes, he stared up at Pummel, his eyes starting to water. He smiled faintly at Pummel, his skin pale as the moon, his skin waxy. He said hoarsely, "Is this heaven?" He said, with a small smile on his face. He coughed, and felt his neck, it was swollen incredibly from the punch, he unwrapped his bandages from his eyes, and looked at Pummel's beautiful face. He looked into her beautiful eyes, and held up his hands limply, he wrapped his arms around her softly. "I was afraid I would drift away..." He laughed softly, "You sang my old lullaby" Markus said with a smile. He rubbed his forehead, his eyes clenched shut. "He's still alive, Pummel." He said desperately, trying to find strength. "He's alive, Cailfis is alive. He's controlling me somehow." Markus' eyes were filled with fear, he said slowly. "Be careful around me for a while, until I can find a way to get him out of my head." He lay down his head again, smiling. "I won't be gotten rid of that easy." He said softly, "Don't be worried about me, I can hold on as long as you are around."

"The only place I know is in the Vampire Sector, but I wouldn't put you at risk with that. If you could take me to your apartment that would be a good place to rest. If you don't want to risk your safety I understand" He smiled at her, and took out a small bracelete, made of polished gold. His name was written on it. "You gave me yours, I had this engraved for you. We can take each other where ever we go, even if it's simply a name." He smiled, and the world started to turn black again...

Markus woke up again, and jumped in the way, he took the massive strike, and grabbed onto Siyo's neck. He bit into it deeply, hanging on for dear life, he floored Siyo. He started to drink Siyo's blood, drinking deeply. He let go of Siyo's neck, and wiped his mouth. He breathed heavily, color returning to his face.

Pummel gasped and turned around, she changed quickly, then ran over and put herself in between the two fighters.. She then stood still "NO!" She commanded and stood still in front of Markus, she looked at Siyo with tears in her eyes and such a sorrow that the golden colour turned amber..
" Hunter.. You know the pain of loosing the ones you love, you have felt the pain yourself.. " Pummel took a deep breath trying to gain control of the tears " Why are you then trying to take my love away from me.. You won hunter, Markus will be dead if you attack him now.. is that not enough.. Markus did not kill you family, the vampire within him did.. "
She stepped toward him "Please.. end this.. no one has to die tonight, would your family want you to do this? To become a killer just like the one who murdered them?"

Siyo took the kick and cluched his face in pain. He took out one last dagger and rushed past markus and cutting his arm off at the shoulder in the process and then jumped into the night, but the problem was it hit both sides of markus the student and the master. "I shall kill you both.."

"Your a punk." Jasie said as he toppled her and now lay above her on the ground. "you said you didn't wanna fight, yet here you are starting things and taking me down to the ground..." Jasie pouted get it was all an act. Jasie laughed at his last comment, then added, "Do you want me to be?"

Markus fell into Pummel's arms, he looked at her, she appeared to be talking, he could not hear her... His eyes widening. He groaned in extreme pain, his arm a few feet away. He clenched his teeth, and looked at his arm a few feet away from him. He looked at the stump where his arm should have been, and fainted from the excrutiating pain. Red and white streaks of agony flashed across his closed eyelids. He fell into his own mind, into a prison cell, 600 years ago...

Markus maddly muttered to himself, looking around nervously, he screamed randomly. Shadows loomed over him every where, people he had slain were all walking towards him, their eyes glazed over, their skin partially rotting. He screamed, and down to the far wall, scrabbling for the tiny window at the top. He screamed bloody murder, thrashing at the dead memories clawing at his skin, all darkness, no light... But then their was. Pummel walked through the crowd, her feiry red hair wavering. She took him by the hand, and the window grew larger and larger. They soon easily stepped through, Markus' dead memories fading in the light. He turned to her, and kissed her on the cheek...

Markus awoke to the world of pain, gurgling. He was woozy from loss of blood, he could not see anything, just pain. Visual pain. He roared at the sky, at Siyo, at everything...
