If they are not going to keep an eye on the place, then why have them as mods? If anybody is interested in becoming a mod, feel free to apply. The remaining team members will discuss it and come to a group decision. And how does one go about applying for said position? Would we post it in thine sticky thread? Or shall we send thee an application through PM? Jail Bait? That reminds me . . . I'm this year's jail bait for Anime Expo's Volunteer Staff, on the fact that I'm the youngest staffer XD.

We have a few quotes about Anime Expo, such as:
"What goes on at AX, stays at AX, FOREVER. Or I'll hunt you down, stalk you everywhere, then kill you when you least expect it."

*sees uber random happenings* " . . . only at AX will you see/do/hear about something like that. Nowhere else."

sweatdrop Taking care of a convention of about 40,000 strong is harsh work.
Sometimes the staff wishes that AX was a little bit smaller again.
Check the ratio: 40,000+ convention attendees to 600 staff members + 200 volunteers.
That's not a very good ratio at all. gonk 1 person to 50+ people is very bad on the nerves.

only nekocon for mehey, you're even luckier than me! i live in alaska! what anime conventions are near HERE?!?!?!? (and by the way, it costs about 400 dollars to go to the next island over)

I've helped out at a few cons, before... nothing major, though. Save for maybe DarkCon, though, it was only really major to certain groups, and then Arizona...

I've helped out at AnimeIowa before, which is a few thousand people I think. I also go to ACEN, which is over 10,000 people. Haven't volunteered for that yet though, but I might sooner or later so I don't have to pay for a hotel room. XD
