Amen to that bro. I remember alway failing the rp academy so many times. The first reasons were mentioned in very insulting words (which hurt my spirit lol j/k) But i think after my eighth try, i think, i finally got it right. So you all got nothing on me lmao talk2hand

So it comes down to this as long as they do the stupid form let them into the guild...even if you do not think it is good, they well just have to spend a little more time working on becoming better.

I'm with Cirtus. I think that the crew should have a bit more confidence in their ability to help people be better RPers and not be so quick to talk trash. But then again I'm on the outside looking in.

Talking trash? See... this is why I don't participate in the Chatterbox. rolleyes

Also, no offence, but the Crew already came to a decision TOGETHER about that very topic. It was a CREW Decision, not a single person's decision. It doesn't come down to a simple "Fill out the form" because a few people commented on it.

Ugh.... I don't even know why I'm trying to explain it here. wahmbulance

Edit- On a side note... a bunch of us passed the Academy on our first try. razz

Look guys, if you all could see the stuff our crew goes through not only to get more people but to get good, honest, hardworking people who will do our community much good you wouldn't be complaining. In fact we had that whole discussion about this as Rachel mentioned before. It's not that we don't have faith in people, it's that people who don't give a crap about taking the time to make a decent request wouldn't take the time with the system anyway. Those with the village, know how annoying it is when the noobies come in and start posting spam in their villages without permission. Which quickly results in the noob's banishment and everyone asking, "Who the hell let that the person in here in the first place?"

Not to mention, what the people who write novels in that request box putting a lot of time into what they are going to say? How is it fair that someone who submitted "i lov3 natuo" gets in when someone else spent an hour and a half double checking and revising their request. Trust me, all hell would break loose if we just let anyone in. It's really for the guild's benefit.

Perhaps a better "welcome to WotN" message from the crew would help eliminate some of the spam. I know that I've helped out a couple of new guys to our village that just starting posting randomly because no one told them not to. After a couple quick PMs (which they said no one else was sending them) everything cleared up and they started posting normally and correctly.

However as I already said, and was quoted as saying, I'm on the outside looking in.

Dude, we do do that, and I'm very glad that you are doing that too, but there are clearly marked threads in the main forum instructing newbies what do do.

Also, just to let you know. I accepted a particularly questionable join request that could definitely use some improvement today, so it's on you guys if he goes bad.

I wouldn't know about that one, but I'm not exactly an expert on the situation, so don't go asking me for advice like a sage on Mount Everest.

I really got to get some more free time for the guilds and such, as I'm still short on time in the first place, with more idiocies in the first place.

*Hands you a VIP pass*
Welcome to the club. I get about 12 PM's A DAY with questions so pathetically obvious that if they simply clicked on the "Game System Forum" they wouldn't need to PM me...
So, you're not the only one when it comes to answering questions.

Not to mention, that it's stated on the home page **last time I checked** that if you get accepted that you should go to the Game System Forum to learn about what to do. Not PM a Crew member to hold your hand and make your application to the village of your choice for you.

Just because you're "on the outside looking in" doesn't mean you know the inner workings of the Crew. So I'd personally appreciate it if you stopped while you're behind. A few of us are working double and triple what we normally do and to be bad-mouthed and accused of trash talking is extremely aggrivating. Then to take the stand of "Oh... I'm just looking at what I see." when you don't see about 45% of the what's going on... that just really frys me. burning_eyes

Well...what can be said? "Get used to it?" xp The other Kages probably have it better but anyways, I have seen plenty of illegal immigrants that it just doesn't effect me as heavily anymore. In the old days, the judgement was the boot. (Y'know, sometimes I had thought it was not "Konohagakure no Sato" but "illegal immigrants come here"...)

So while principle-wise I agree with Rachel-nee...Citrus do have a point that the other method could work. More painful, the Kage getting more angry and venting of the spleen (though good-natured mommy won't blow in the face of such...challenges), but in the long run with a little aid from FELLOW VILLAGERS (don't just leave your Kages to the attendance of illegal immigrants, please), then, it is possible.

I'm not saying compromising quality for activity, just that if it's not possible to find enough good-from-the-start rpers anymore, then why not work with newcomers until they get the hang of things. If they did the application wrong...then... *shudder* We got to tell them what went wrong, what wasn't answered.

I mean, we kinda have to face reality too... Naruto's been going on for a long time, and well...most of us don't even remember why we liked the series in the first place anymore. (I know that the guild is original in that we are not tied to the canon storyline, but there's Gaians who don't know that.) Anyways, the closer Naruto reaches the end of the series, the harder it will become to find the "good-from-the-start" rpers.

Can't really afford to be extremely picky anymore.

Ok, clearly what I said got misinturpted. When I say I'm on the outside looking in, I mean that I'm not in on everything you guys do and I understand that there is more going on than what I can see. I had zero intention for that to sound like I had some great insight. Just ask Proto, she knows about my retarded views on life.

Well, as glorious as our bickering is, it's not doing anyone any good. I can understand you're point of view too, it's popped into my head a few times, I even asked Kira about it a year ago or so. So, we need to find a solution for everyone. I'd like it if anyone with a problem or opinion would please state it politely and back it with some evidence, crew as well for an opposing opinion, than we can work on a solution together. After all, we are one big happy family and this is turning into some weird crew vs. members thing XD.
