AlidasDragonriders *stands and paces around the statue, examining it with the upmost curiousity, using her tail to brush away a layer of dust from a place that appears to have once been writing* I'm not sure........ I haven't seen a creature like this in years.... And this one is winged, which makes it even more puzzling....... Don't worry, I am sure this is nothing dangerous..... And it doesn't seem as though it made anything else perilous... Hello? What is this? ....... *reads the worn, faded writing as best she can, which in turn directs her to another hidden trigger* Stay back....... *her claw taps the trigger again and watches for anything carefully, twitching backwards in a jerk as the statue's eyes begin to glow* (Ok, just wondering..... And dramatic pauses, I love 'em!! whee )

*Cat backed up and shook her head.* Let Alida play with it if she wants to. I have more work to do. * Turns around and resumes vine and moss removal, revealing polished black volcanic rock as she worked*

*grins at her and bows slightly* Thank you, that has been my plan from the start.... rofl whee And I'm sure we are about to find out that answer Myth...... *shrugs and watches as the statue's head grinds down to look at them, its mouth grating open and speaking, almost as in a message on an answering machine, in a deep grinding voice* My race has failed to remain amongst the living in this time, and partially at my, Lord Trukanyan, fault.... I do hope with the last of my soul that this message is found and the request upheld.... For that which finds me, may you have the strength to return the lives and cultures of my people to the world again, for without us, the magic of the world may weaken substantially.... Fate is a cruel thing and the greater the future fate gives to us, the crueler it can be... I beg thee whom finds this, please, help my people.....- *the message cuts out and the statue's head returns to it's previous position, its eyes fading back to marble as Alida and the others stand awestruck*
(Whoops again..... My mom needed my help.... sweatdrop )
