Wait...by metal boxes, were you referring to that 40k flash video that was on Newgrounds with the U-Haul Drop Pods?

Heh...oh well.

So, for fluffiness...

I'm trying to do an all Nurgle force, and incorporate multiple different Cult units. Specifically Noise Marines, and I'm trying to find rationale to explain it away.

Thought: Their bodies are so packed full of toxins and virulence that they're able to expel them through specialized sprayers that they've built into their bodies. The heightened Initiative comes from the fluids in their bodies making them more malleable and maneuverable. However, that fluid excess breaks down their bodies faster (explaining the lack of T5 and FNP).

What are your guys' thoughts? Any idea how various cults would be explained for certain forces?

No... I'm reffering to a certain Chaos Follower who thinks only cowards hide in metal boxes (aka rhinos). ninja

Pretty much a meme thing nowdays as well around /tg/ at 4chan.

I like Rhinos... Especially with Zerks in them! mrgreen

They get angry when the tank says boom and they have to crawl their way out... Tihihi~<3

Just curious, you people who play Chaos, how do you counter another chaos list? ninja

I'd hazard a guess and say hit them before they hit you? Lashing people into vortex grenades also helps.

lashing a squad under a flamer template of doom siren is a surefire way to decimate MEQs AFAIK

Lashes aren't that dangerous in my eyes anymore (just annoying), I see more danger behind lists using plague marines with only melta weapons and powerfists mounted in Rhinos, 3 Defilers, a Nurgle Daemonprince with some scary s**t power... That's something I've seen around the tables where I play and around Chaos forums, it's about one of the hardest lists (if not THE hardest) you can make for Chaos, and it is also pretty much anti-lash as well due to the numerous vehicles.

Haha...Shinobi, you pretty much just described the force that I'm building up. Nurglesque Overload with Meltas and Powerswords. With that, I run a big "speed" line of Winged Nurgle Daemon Princes with Warptime and Bikers of Nurgle. A solid wall of T6 is nothing to sniff at.

That said, to fight other Chaos, I tend to try and lock them up in CC with Plague units so that I can't be gunned down quite so quickly. Pie plates are wonderful, too, making Defilers a great choice. For the same reason, Dreadnoughts are nice because they have the chance of going apeshit crazy on your enemy (or on you. Either way).

Lashes...eh. Only time I ever use them is to suck enemies out of cover to pelt them with artillery or to bring them into range of assault on a Daemon Prince.

I like nurgle bikers too, but they're not popular even amongst the chaos players here, they see them as fragile because of big blast weapons with high S and AP, but me myself love chaos bikers, my 8 Khorne bikers have had their killing sprees... But also their bad times... I remember when a friend borrowed my chaos army back with the last codex and he attempted to move through difficult terrain... Only 1 survived I think... xd

To fight other Chaos, or hell, anything, I do a favorite strategy of mine...
Berzerkers in front to go apeshit on the enemy, Thousand Sons behind them to piss things off. Have a terminator sorcerer with your choice of spells backed with other terminators, and for me, have a flying Daemon Prince with Winds of Chaos hurt all their high saves/toughness models, and then charge them, of course. Back all this up with your favorite tanks or Havocs.
But the empathesis is on troops, and you should have about a 3:2 ratio of Berzkers to Thousand Sons. This doesn't mean every three units of Berzerkers have two units of Thousand Sons, but literal number of models. o3o

Hm...your 3:2 ratio of Zerks to Rubric Marines is an interesting proposition. However, given that the RMs are more survivable, I'd push that closer to a 1:1 ratio. Of course, it also depends on your enemy, unless you're putting together a generalist list. Hell, even for a generalist list, it would be a good idea to keep a balance between shootin' and slashin'.

But there's no fun in a "balanced" Chaos list, now is there?

I've tried the 1:1 thing, and it actually doesn't work as well as you'd think since a LOT of people target the Zerks first thing. This can, of course, be used to your advantage

...It's beautiful, Mac. Simply beautiful.

Opinions on Lash of Submission? I'm bandying around some Slaaneshi Daemon Princes, and 1st turn assault looks reeeeally nice.
