✠-✠-✠ The ocean turned to red
xxx✠-✠-✠ In the fall, in the fall

The girl continues to watch the Mizukage struggle and struggle on, when it was clear he should have been killed a long time ago. With a very mild interest, Nova continued to observe them. This fight just kept getting more and more boring, and she was just getting more and more tired of watching this weak little Mizukage continue to fight for his pity little life. Whatever though, he was trying his best. But it wasn't good enough. As his crazy, idiot opponent created a huge planet like meteorite to crash into the village. Nova may have been young, but she was smart enough to know she wasn't going to escape this jutsu in time. So instead, she stayed where she was. The villagers continued to try and rush out of the way of this attack, but resistance was futile. They were all going to die, and Nova knew it. But was disappointed her more was that she saw three shinobi where going through a portal of some kind, it seemed like they were escaping, and taking the mizukage with them. What cowards, escaping death. Nova just looked up, there was nothing she could do to save the Mist village from being destroyed, there was nothing she could do to avoid her death. Instead, the huge rock just came crashing down on her. Every second, she was just scowling and cursing out the Mizukage. How dare he leave all his people to perish, how dare he just leave them all behind knowing they would all die? What was that saying? The Captain always went down with his ship? Some Mizukage he was... He should have-

...

There was nothing more Nova could think of, before her whole world turned black and cold, just like her heart had been.

Haruna Terumi and Akaba Mizu

Akaba walked through the mist of the edge of the village the orange haired girl laying in his arms could barely stay awake, she looked at him while taking deep breaths. "Is your father-" The girl began
"No." Akaba butted in before she could finish.
"That sentence could have taken two different turns..." She rebutted.
"He's not dead." His voice was stern.
"Is he injured." The girl said with Akaba only nodding with the strong mist hiding his tears, but it was clear they were there. To both him and her. She turned her head to see if she could see any of the wreckage through the mist, but none showed through. "What about the Lord Mizukage." She said feeling a connection as they share a clan, although she didn't know him well, just really knew of him.
"I did not stick around." His breathing was staggered as he was both distressed and tired. "My father told me to get you out of here. That is what I guess I'm going to do. Until I can find out anything further about what's happening back there."
"Why are you talking like that?" Her lips moved as her eyes tried to force her sight through the mist.
"I guess I'm trying to give myself some sense of security in this whole mess. It's not every day the village once regarded to as the Blood Mist Village gets taken over by a clown." Akaba explained and Haruna gave him a slight look questioning the last portion of his explanation so he went on. "The last bit of information relayed to my father before he sent me off said that it was a clown leading the attack."
"It must have been an attempt to not cuss in front of children like us-" She was cut off once again.
"We can't be children anymore." Akaba said in a strong but forced manner.
"Eh, well anyways, it was probably just trying to cover a cuss word. I mean, do you think a clown could lead an attack such as that."
"Doesn't matter anymore. We've just gotta go for a while, get on my back." He said placing her down for a moment to give himself some slight rest.
Her eyes continued to look back to where the village was in order to see if any explosions erupted or anything of the sort, but by this time they were far enough to the point where they couldn't even see the meteor crashing down, the mist was strong, and it was clear Akaba was shrouding them, that didn't stop the large echo she had heard of the impact. She began to speak again, "Where are we-" Her question was halted as she placed both of her hands on Akaba's shoulders and pushed herself up, "-going to go." She finished swinging her legs up as Akaba grabbed them and began to run. Akaba simply shrugged which caused Haruna to bounce up slightly.

From far off in the sky the light could be seen as Momo approached the village, This was where the death was... so much of it was quite unnatural... people were already digging out bodies from the rubble the dead were being mourned the injured treated... If an enemy were to advance now then they'd likely be wiped out... Momo would have to flip the table... again... the village was a crater of rubble from these metaphorical ashes it would have to rise again like the phoenix... High above the village Momo began to gather the chakra... it was much of her power... to use it. From below people began to notice... and even panic a little after all they had only just gotten destroyed from above, Fear would grow but in some subside... Momo's wings lofted her up, easily noticeable for those below, the purity of her wings was the factor that calmed the masses, long enough for her to gather the appropriate amount of chakra. And cast her Healing Chakra Level 6 A great light filled everything the bodies of the dead began to heal, the bodies of the living as well, even plant life seemed to spring back and flourish in these few seconds... Momo simply pushed Life into everything here... she could have harvested the death but the destruction of Leaf years prior had seen to it that she had no illusions of lacking in Death. Momo would descend slowly... only to get mobbed by people. She didn't like this kind of stuff... but... she endured it. Eventually things calmed down though and momo would grab the first person. "What is it that happened here?" she would ask them... and begin to hear the whole story... the 9-winged angel would begin to use Angelus to produce light spirits to aid in the digging of survivors out of the rubble.

Adell Entered the village, a sadness in his eyes at first, as he remembered what had happened. High in the air, he saw a humaniod figure. Was that... the girl they talked about? He approached the village, seeing panic begin to rise, as those that had evacuated and survived the attack took notice of the gathering amount of energy. Thankfully, they began to calm again. This winged girl had a nature about her that indicated her willingness to do no harm. Light flowed out over the area. Those who's lives had been lost, those harmed, even the plants all around them, were renewed, regenerated, and rejuvenated. Adell approached, a soft smile on his face. Despite everything, how could he not be happy to have the lives of those lost back. Adell quickly formed seals, concentrating, as he formed seals. He tossed a water scroll into the air, releasing it's contents. Water Style: Water Clone jutsu He formed a huge number of water clones. Immediately he and them moved around, moving through the rubble and clearing it, trying to get to anyone whom was trapped. Once he knew everyone was safe, that was when he could address the people.

User ImageMomo would float up from the crowd and toward Adell and the newly formed water clones he was injured she could feel it in the air, also it seemed people who had escaped were starting to pool back into the village... she was going to be busy. She would float past Adell and find a clear place to land and a wall of light would appear around her to stop them from mobbing her again. she focused herself prepping even more chakra to expend in the summoning of some special spirits who would aid in the healing of the people. Handsigns would flash in her fingers and then using a sharp nail she'd cut her hand open and place it to the ground swiftly.User Image The chakra forced a bridge between this place and the Afterlife pulling 8 angelic spirits through the rift and depositing them here. As the smoke cleared Adell would find himself in the presence of some familiar spirits, the 8 identical angel sisters who looked down on him in the afterlife. Though they were different. instead of dresses they wore light armor of the Valkyries from Norse mythos. "Tend to the wounded, my sisters." 9-Wings Momo would say to them and they would all bow to her in agreement the wall of light dispelled Momo would turn to look at Adell, and approach him. "You have suffered grave wounds and danced in the pallor of the Afterlife, why is it you are here?" she spoke in an odd way, though it was clear enough to know that she was aware he was not only wounded but was in the afterlife.

Adell's clones spread as far as they could throughout the village. The managed to pull any injured left from the reckage, and cleared most of the rubble. Adell watched as Momo landed, taking a moment to breathe as his clones continued to help those around. He watched in awe as she summoned...those...beings he saw earlier in that place Shikarama had taken them. He turned to Momo as she addressed him, looking to her curiously. "I was healed...and are you talking about the place SHikarama took me?" He looked to her rather curiously. It took him a moment to realize just how surprising the entire situation was. "Wait...that was the afterlife?" He said with wide eyes. "And how did you know I had been hurt...or went there...and how'd you bring those...girls here from there?"

User ImageUser ImageMomo flitted around him like it was a zero gravity around him. "I can sense it on you... it doesn't seem odd to you that I was able to revive the dead... when most would believe that is impossible?" She continued to flit about him as the 8 sisters, who looked like Momo just with tanned skin and silver hair went about healing the wounded with masterful ease. "I am the 9-Winged Angel. I control the essence of life and death, Craftsman and Mist... the Death is immense... I could feel it, sense it..." She would say to him. "As for them... they are my sisters. I entered the Afterlife myself... taught them what they know... they were simple lost spirits when I met them. Now they are warriors and healers of high class. Bringing them here is nothing to difficult, I believe you call it... Summoning." 9-Wings was quite cooperative with answering his queries, "Now who... are you? And... where is... Shikarama?" she would ask... Momo knew Shikarama from the village hidden in the Leaves.

Adell scratched his head, a little embarrassed as she asked her next question. "Well It never really occured to me. I wasn't really paying attention. But it is quite amazing that you can do that. How exactly are you able to?" He said with a nervous laugh. His composure as she began to explain herself. He was intrigued by her relationship to these angellic beings. It also occured to Adell the immense power she held despite being so young. "That's amazing. What do you mean by Angel, though." She asked him who he was, and he could not help but answer. He had a mixture of happiness and sadness on his face. "I am Adell Terumi, the Mizukage, since 5 years ago, I tried to defend the village with all I had when the Joker attacked it. And Shikarama...he tried to help, but took me from the village when the Joker made this Meteor attack and took me and Logan Hyuga with him to the afterlife. After a short while there, Shikarama sent us back. We ended up in Hidden Craftsman. Logan healed my worst injuries, and we heard about you leaving it and heading here. I went on ahead. Logan said he had something to do before he followed."

Momo listened to the man explain himself... one could tell he was a trained soldier, he gave information in entirety and gave no unnecessary detail. But something stuck with her... Kage. "This village is a heap of rubble... do you believe yourself worthy of that name anymore?" pale white eyes stared at him as she pointed out his failure. It was a bit cruel of her... but not entirely untrue, he had failed the village by letting it get flattened by Joker. The best medicine was not only bitter, but needed. " As for what I mean by angel... I mean angel... you have met people who play host to the demon beasts... and yet the possibility Angelic beings of the same caliber existing baffles you? I myself am the 9 Winged Angel in charge of the flow of Life and Death. Five years Prior in Leaf I awoke in this vessel... Momo Uchiha." it seemed she was just as open with information. If he thought about it her face would flash into his mind. Momo Uchiha... the girl from the Chunin Exams she was peerless had she not forfeited the battle it would have been clear that she would have been favored to win... She had only gotten exponentially stronger with time. Though he had gotten to speak with her a small bit... he would no doubt realize this... person... was a world away from the kind and gentle Momo... cold emotionless eyes peering into a world they could care less about... instead of the warm loving ones he saw in the small girl at the exams.

OoC: Just allow me to believe she could pound anyone there XD By the way she's in a 16 year old body now.

Adell looked to her, sadness forming over his face. He looked away from her. How could he face her with the truth. "I don't know. I've worked to protect this village for 5 years. Never have I come before the challenge that I faced. I fought with all I had. But...I wasn't strong enough to protect my village." He glanced upt to her as she spoke about herself. "Momo..." It had been a long time, but he did remember that name. "Well it is good to meet you. I wish there were better circumstances for us to meet under.Regardless..." He lightly kneeled. "Thank you...for saving my village, when I was unable to do so. We are in eternal gratitude to your efforts." He slowly looked back up to the young woman.

understood. However, I should equally mention, considering that the tailed beast are not demons in the sense understood by Abrahamic religions and others similar religions with angels, there is no reason to believe the naruto universe is completely familiar with the idea of angels, let alone that they would be related to the tailed beasts in any way. And Adell not being the most worldly of people, would be among those unaware of the idea.

User ImageThe 9-Winged angel saw the sorrow of his features and felt some compassion for him, as he she spoke she would listen to him and consider his words. "I have not saved your village. I merely brought the dead back to life. Surely this... Joker... shall not cease with just one village... I shall be returning to The Leaf village... in order to put a stop... to this death I have been feeling from there for awhile now... I get the feeling it is this... Joker... you have encountered." Momo would begin to walk away, "Speak to your people... motivate them into bringing your village back to the glory it once held, and the sting of Joker may fade as the sting of Schi the Sealmaster did in years past. I shall leave the 8 here to administer aid as well as the light spirits which clear the rubble." Momo would flit into the sky. "If there is anything for you to say I would speak of it now for if it is true about this man's strength even I may not be capable of victory." she said hovering in wait for anything he would have to say.

OoC: Well at the very least the 9 tails is called the 'demon fox' As well the Japanese had angels of their own.

Adell looked up to her again as she spoke. He nodded to her, knowing the deeds she needed to take and his duty to his people as well. "Very well. I will reassure them, give them the will to hope, to repair and continue their lives. But...I won't let you face Joker alone. As soon as I can...I will follow, and I will help bring an end to that man...that monster. You need to know, he has used 4 elements in front of me, and he's shown strange abilities. His henchmen...or children...or whatever they are, they aren't normal. I blew half of the head off one, and he didn't stop until his entire body was disintegrated by a lightning bolt. There were at least two of them. Joker took a strong combined fire wind attack, blocked the wind blade with a wing, and took the fire attack with no major wounds on him. That and his flight ability and the abilities to create strange meteors of flame...and he wore these strange clones that seemed to make unnatural things happen...What I am telling you is...he is very strong...Please, accept my help."

User ImageThe Nine-Winged angel considered this for a moment. "Very well... you shall head to Hidden Craftsman, Speak with the Kage there. Tell him that... tell him that 'Momo needs his help.' ... If he asks for details tell him I plan to fight Joker." She seemed... less than happy to involve this man, but it was one of the best ways to fight Adell had shown he wasn't strong enough to defeat more than the minions. "If there is a man named Drago there... tell him that if Ryu perishes... it is up to him to care for my host. One last thing..." The angel would descend to stand in front of Adell putting her hands to get she concentrated for a moment and then placed her hands onto him, a rush of energy would course into his body, healing all the aches and pains he felt. "If you are injured you're worthless to me... keep yourself in better condition or you'll break and simply become a liability. Your people are important they give you reason to continue, treat them well and they shall flourish." It was almost last a final lesson was being taught. The Nine-Winged angel abhorred battle, but anything that caused this much death needed to be quelled. She would fly off trying to conserve her remaining chakras for the upcoming fight.

Adell looked to her, nodding softly. He would need to find the kage of Craftsman...the village he had been in...and a man named Drago...there as well. "I will do all that, and then I will head to help you, hopefully with the Craftsman village kage's help." He looked to her curiously as she moved down to him, touching him. He looked to her with surprise, feeling as a strange energy flowed into him. His body's injuries, what remained of them, anyway, had disappeared entirely. Adell glanced at himself, smiling softly. He nodded to her, telling her before she left, "Thank you, Angel with nine wings." As she left, his clones continued their work, alongside the eight angels. He approached the people of his village, and called out to them. "People of the hidden mist. I... Adell Terumi have returned. I can only ask your forgiveness, for my inability to keep this village from harm. A tragedy has fallen on us, and, thanks to an Angel...we have been given a second chance. If you feel that I have not served you well, that I am unworthy of this position, please speak so and place this title in the hands of one who deserves it more. If I may continue this job...I promise you, though, that I will not fail you again. I will not let anyone harm this village, or take the lives of it's people, ever again. I will fight with my life, and I will work to bring justice to the one called "The Joker". Now please, speak your piece." He waited, listening onto the reactions of the people. There was certainly sorrow over everything that had happened. But in the end, they forgave him. In truth he had fought for their sake, even without success, against this monster. Adell, seeing his place, clear, continued. "My people...I must go to other villages, and get help, help in dealing with the threat before us." looking over the people once more, he then turned from them and began to walk, acting to leave and head towards the village gates. He trusted them for now, in their hands, and the hands of the healing angels, as his clones dispersed. He would need to head back to Craftsman, and find the kage. ((exit))

~:: Fugen Himoji ::~

Fugen walked across the bridge, looking around at the village that was known as the Village Hidden in the Mists. It was a quiet looking place, a light mist covering the area and landscape, obscuring details in objects more than fifty feet away. The sounds of waves pushing against the shore could be heard from below as he continued to walk, wondering where most of the people were in the village, not realizing how small it actually was. The further he delved into the Village, the thicker the cloud of mist seemed to be, which started to make him wonder why anyone else would think of a different name for the village if they ever had. The place was as misty as the peaks of mountains when hidden within a cloud. Suddenly people started to disappear into their homes or into the distance within a hurry, as if there was something rather important to do. Fugen raised up a hand to ask what was wrong but quickly stop, a cold sweat running down his spine. A large blade was hovering over his left shoulder, poised to chop off a limb before he heard a voice of a violent man speak up behind him. ”Hey, you are not one of the people here who bought protection. If you want to keep your arms and legs, pay up.”

Fugen could only stutter as he tried to bring out the words. He had no money, he had nothing valuable on his person either but if he were to lose a limb, let alone both his arms now, his martial arts will suffer greatly. Fugen felt a hand reach into his pocket where he kept his coin purse before it withdrew and he heard a soft voice say, ”He does not have much coin, Zabuza. Could he be poor?”

”Sucks to be him then, Haku. He had to provide something to stay safe… Well do you kid?!”

Fugen could only shake his head as he could feel the presence of the large blade disappear before a killers intent filled the air. ”Then die!” Fugen jumped forwards, landing on the ground sprawled before he heard something slice into the earth. He quickly looked behind him to find the sword barely missed him and was lodged into the soft dirt before looking up towards the man who weld it. A tall and rather well built man stood there, his mouth and nose covered by bandages and his ninja headband with the icon slashed out facing towards his left. Spiked hair waving with the light breeze that flowed through the village though the mist seemed oddly ineffective. On his forearms were coverings that were desert camouflage patterned and by his side holding Fugen’s coin purse was what looked to be a young girl with her hair tied at the ends.

Zabuza pulled out his sword from the ground before swinging it again at a low angle towards Fugen’s body. Fugen quickly pushed off the ground with all fours, getting himself air born to avoid the low sweep before stumbling forwards to get away from this man. Such a dangerous coming from his attacker that he felt like this was going to be his end. Fugen quickly took his stance, preparing himself for a fight to the death before Zabuza stabbed his sword to the ground and holding his hands in an odd position, as if making two different hand seals with two invisible allies. Suddenly the mist started to grow thicker as the two of them disappeared. Fugen started to grow a little nervous. This was the first time he had to fight against someone who was unable to be seen. Fugen started to move forwards, his fists out in front of him, ready to fight whatever came his way.

The sound of metal cutting through air barely caught his ear as he jumped forwards, feeling his back nicked by the edge of the blade. Fugen, spun around to see Zabuza getting ready to strike again before moving quickly himself, trying to land a fist into Zabuza’s face that looked to be on fire. But he stopped as quickly as he could when Haku suddenly appeared in front of him. After he stopped, he jumped backwards away from the two that were attacking him. ”You stopped,” asked Haku with a raised eyebrow. Fugen merely shook his head before saying, ”I do not like to hit children, let alone little girls.” As soon as he said that, Zabuza started to laugh hysterically, obviously finding that funny. Fugen suddenly had a look of confusion on his face as he looked towards them.

”Zabuza-san, that is not funny!”
”… The hell? What did I say?”
”Haha… Haha… Ha… Sorry Haku, but him mistaking you as a girl was hilarious.”
”… SHE IS A HE?!”
”GHAHAHAHA! That look on his face! It is hilarious!”
”Zabuza!”
”You know, I am kind of curious to see why he is here. Speak kid. I am listening.”

Fugen looked towards the two with an eyebrow lifted. ”Erm, I was here to see if there were someone I can learn how to fight from… I guess I found someone. If you will not kill me, I would like to be trained by you sir.” said Fugen as he bowed deeply towards Zabuza. In truth, Fugen was scared as hell of the b*****d but the fact that this skill could take people by surprise would prove most useful. Especially if Fugen had to take an opponent that was stronger than he was. Zabuza cocked a head to his side, as if thinking of what he is going to do before smiling so hard that it shown through the bandages.

”Alright, if you want me as a teacher, you are going to have to pay me. More than with just money, you know. I have a couple of lackeys that decided to go rogue on me. Decided that they can do a good enough job taking money away from people to provide protection from me to collect money from them. You know, the basic of henchmen who think themselves the better. Help me take them and I may even consider not killing you.” Zabuza grinned as he shouldered his blade expecting a favorable reply but with a demand like that, how could Fugen say no?

The three of them started to walk off into the mist, an eerie silence between them all. From the look Haku gave Zabuza, Fugen could tell there was a heavy sign of love for someone. And that someone was apparently Zabuza. Fugen smiled a little on the inside, knowing now that Zabuza could not have been that bad if he has such an admirer. After nearly an hour of walking in a silent moot, Fugen found himself standing in front of a hideout dug into the ground under a large tree that itself had a building within its branches. Fugen whistled as best he could through his own mask as they went in side, Zabuza and Haku greeted by a crowd of thugs lifting beers up into the air. But then they stopped and stared as Fugen with an aura so fierce, Fugen started to worry a little. He was in a den of cutthroats and thieves and obviously they did not want to be known about.

Some of them approached Fugen with blades drawn but Zabuza stopped them with his own blade before saying, ”This kid is paying off a debt. Harm him to the point he become useless to me, you will take on his debt of both his arms. You got me?” The group suddenly started to cower in fear of the man’s aura of death and killing intent but Haku remained unfazed. The hell was going on between these two, Fugen wondered as he followed them into the backroom. As he entered, he saw three men tied up and gagged, beaten to a near pulp. Fugen’s eyes were wide as he looked towards Zabuza who was grinning through his mask but Haku’s face was eerily silent and calm. As soon as the three men saw Zabuza, they struggled to worm themselves as far away from him as they possibly could, shouting and screaming through their gags as hard as they could before Zabuza yelled at them to shut up.

”Cut the crying you wimps. Listen up, this boy here did not have money to pay me with so I thought it would be a bit entertaining if I had him perform a task to pay off his debts. With that in mind, you three can still earn back ‘some’ of my trust. All you three have to do is fight this kid and cut off his arms and legs. If you can do that, then you will be part of my gang again but at the lowest of the low for a long time.” Fugen could not help but to realize that he was not surprised from this. The man had just handed him over to three nearly unconscious men who were all murderers and told them that if they could pretty much kill him, they would be accepted again. But what if Fugen was to fight back and beat them? Fugen looked towards Zabuza through the corner of his eyes before a needle stabbed him through the skin of his neck, paralyzing him nearly instantly. Fugen fell to the floor as he watched Haku do the same to the other three before starting to untie them. Zabuza knelt next to Fugen and said with a low voice, ”However, if you are the one who kills them, not only will I let you live, but I will teach you how to be a proper shinobi. Get me kid?” Fugen’s eyes suddenly became stern with the look of defiance. He did not believe death for anyone if it can be avoided. Even enemies of the highest degree should be given the chance for a fair trial and/or rehabilitation. It is not like that it was impossible to reform people. Look back at the history books to find that Sasuke took that reform after hearing the true reason for the village’s creation and further protection after the fact. Fugen felt the needle become removed from his neck as he watched Zabuza and Haku leave the room, closing and locking the door behind them before Fugen could start even feel himself starting to move.

Fugen slowly lifted his head, looking towards the other three to see that they were also starting to get up but what was more frightening was that they had weapons from swords to kunai. This was not going to be an easy fight… It never was going to be an easy fight; Especially if Fugen had the resolve to take them out without the need for killing them. To his benefit however, they were already hurt as it was. Suddenly, there was a rapping sound at the window. ”Do not take them lightly Fugen-san. I disabled their pain limiters. They do not feel pain and they hit harder. Please show us what you can do.” Fugen’s eyes shot wide open as they all started running at him with near inhuman speeds unassisted with chakra, swinging their blades around rapidly, trying to slice Fugen into pieces. Fugen panicked and did a back flip, landing on the ground with bended knee but not before slamming a fist into the ground and sending a wave of chakra into it. The ground shook, knocking a few things from the shelves nearby and toppling over some piled up piles of whatever they where, among the fallen where the three shinobi, unable to regain their balance while running towards Fugen. He quickly reached behind him before producing two wooden tonfa’s both hardened to the point where they could take a sword swing and merely chip a small bit while still remaining whole. Spinning the bulk of it around in both hands, he waited for the first one to approach. It was a bit before one of them decided to charge Fugen, swinging his sword from above. Fugen lifted a tonfa above him, letting the blade strike the wood before throwing a arm thrust into the man’s stomach with one end of the tonfa, sending him backwards into some crates before Fugen noticed another was charging him.

The swing was low and from the side, having Fugen drop the arm he just used to punch to block the attack before jumping sideways, throwing a kick onto the man’s head, knocking him unbalanced and rendering his senses a little confused as he would not know which way was downwards for a few seconds. As Fugen landed with one hand and foot of the same side to the ground, he noticed the third running to impale his comrade in an attempt to get at Fugen. Fugen dropped the tonfa in his free hand, grabbing the man he had just hit by the back of his collar before spinning away from the third man with enough force to send the disoriented man flying over him. Fugen let himself fall to the ground, just barely getting scratched by the blade that was coming at him before landing on his back. He struck out towards the man’s leg, knocking it out from under him as Fugen spun on his back a little before twisting himself onto his feet somehow. As the third man hit the ground, the first had already gotten up and was prepared to throw a number of kunai towards Fugen. Fugen chucked the tonfa he still had in his hand at the man, hitting him square on the forehead before jumping forwards to close the gap. As he landed in front of the man, he ducked low, avoiding a side swipe the man made to get Fugen away before Fugen landed a Tiger Crush into his ribcage, knocking all the wind out of his lungs. As he collapsed onto the broken crate, Fugen turned around in time to grab the tonfa that had just hit the ground and raised it to block two sword strikes to his body. The force of the two men was great as what Haku said was true. They felt no pain and therefore did not feel the strain on their muscles as they tried to kill Fugen. Thinking quickly Fugen threw a kick upwards, landing it square into the crotch of one of the men who were trying to overpower him, not intending to hurt him, but to get him off the ground so that he would lose his leverage against Fugen.

Suddenly the struggle became much easier as Fugen now only had to worry about one opponent and took advantage of it. He quickly pushed back, throwing the two swords towards the side with his left arm as he threw a fist into the face of the one on the right, knocking him onto the ground, skipping away. The second opponent started to move to throw another swing at Fugen at the angle of which it was thrown in. Fugen subconsciously reacted to this as he jumped towards the side, doing a flip within the air, the blade cutting through his hair before he landed and struck back before the man could get a chance to swing again. Fugen ducked low before throwing a fist upwards into the air, landing the knuckles square in the jaw. The impact was so great that it knocked the man’s body into the air and possibly rattled some loose teeth out of place before Fugen spun around and sent a kick of fire into his stomach, sending him flying across the room and slamming into a banister. Fugen stood there, looking at the several enemies sprawled around him, two unconscious from sustaining serious damage, the final one having the look of fear plastered over his face. “Y-y-y-you are a-a-a m-monster! J-j-j-just like ZABUZA!” He tried desperately to claw at the doorway, trying to get himself free but suddenly stopped as a sound of metal piercing wood filled the room.

Fugen stood there his eyes wide and filled with the fear he hated most. Someone in front of him… Had just been killed and there was nothing he could have done to stop it. The blade was pulled from the man’s now lifeless corpse before the door was kicked open. Zabuza walking in with the blade slung over his shoulder. He merely walked towards Fugen as Haku followed him, throwing kunai into the vital points of the remaining two who where unconscious, instantly killing them. ”Heh, though you did not kill them, you gave me one hell of a show. Alright, I will teach you but first, I want to let you know that you are now a part of our little group. Betray us and you will pay the price with your life.” Fugen was scared stiff already, not for the threat that Zabuza just made, but still for the fact that he could not save someone from dying. But in the back of his mind, a mental image of himself pulling at his hair screamed out, ”WHY IS IT THAT I AM BEING PULLED INTO GROUPS LIKE THIS?!” Fugen reluctantly followed Zabuza and Haku as they both left the room and stood in front of the rest of the gang who was already lifting their mugs in approval for Fugen’s latest fight and test. They were grinning and pissed at the same time leading Fugen to believe that they were impressed by his will to survive but annoyed that he did not just kill the three traitors. ”Alright boys! Lets give him the old cutthroat official welcome! Betray any of your brothers, kid, and you die!” The room cheered before downing a mug of beer, one such cup was forced onto Fugen who reluctantly drank mostly in fear that they would try to gut him next for disrespecting their ‘customs.’

As the room went on with their festivities, Haku tapped Fugen on the shoulder before whispering, ”Zabuza-san wants to meet you at the upper lookout for your training. He said to be quick about it.” Fugen felt a shiver up his spine as he was directed towards the staircase that led upwards. Was he going to die now just from this guy demonstrating the techniques? That was quite the possibility but for now, he will have to bear with it. Soon he stood at the top of the lookout, Zabuza’s sword leaning against a pillar that kept the roof from collapsing in on the outer edge of the platform. Zabuza himself was leaning against the trunk of the tree with his eyes closed and arms crossed. Upon hearing footsteps, he slowly glanced over towards Fugen sending another chill down his spine before saying, ”Hey kid, you kept me waiting you know.”

Fugen quickly bowed, ”Sorry Zabuza-sensei! Please forgive this sloth-like body of mine!”
”Geez kid, relax. It is not like I am going to kill you for making me take a short nap you know.”
”B-b-but Haku-san said~”
”Shut up already. If you want to learn, then shut that trap and listen. If not, then I can just throw you over the railings right now and see how well you handle a headfirst fall onto the ground.”
”Y-y-y-yes sir!”

Zabuza pushed himself off the tree and then stood at an open part of the platform motioning for Fugen to approach before holding out his hands in a single hand seal to start. ”Alright kid, pay attention. I am going to do this technique only once so do not miss this. The technique I am going to show you is an assassin technique passed down to every academy student here at Hidden Mist. During out graduation, this technique gets a lot of use when we fight our fellow classmates to the death.” Fugen listened to Zabuza’s explanation on the technique itself before performing the hand seals, the same one that Fugen saw before and suddenly disappeared into a dense cloud of mist. Fugen understood the basic property of the mist was sending out chakra to condense the water in the air before scattering it evenly in a small area, creating a fog like situation that would obscure the sight of your target. On that note, it would also leave you a bit in the dark but not as much since Hidden Mist shinobi rely on ambush tactic to gain the upper hand in any battle especially if they could use that to their advantage like their heightened senses due to the lack of vision.
