Alli opened her eyes, looking around. "Where are we?" She asked, noting that it looked a bit... fancy. She had never even set foot in a place like this before.
Ladon perked up, flitting his wings. He jumped to the ground, and circled the table. He flew onto the table, and sat down.

[Lol, I was actually thinking fire=bad, when I thought of this razz ]
Sai sat there amazed at the set-up.
"Wow, I never expected this..."
Sai was kind of glad they were alone at the table, he had had so much fun with her, but they never really had that much time to talk to each other.
"So, how did you enjoy the night?"
A waiter appeared with appetizers, bread and soup. It seemed that the entire menu had already been picked out for them.
"What drinks would you like tonight?"
"Water is fine."
"And for the lady?"

"Water, please." Sakura replied. She looked happily at the food and at Sai; the schedule was well planned. One would obviously get hungry after so long at the carnival, so food was always good for afterwards. Thankfully, she had no food allegeries, so the menu wasn't of a great importance. He had put so much effort into the date, she didn't have a clue how to thank him so.

Sai always wondered why everyone chose to go to such a weird school. Everyone was quite... different, although, different is too small of a word to describe any of them.

"Well, after I was living with...some friends of mine for awhile, we came to realize that my strangeness doesn't work well in a normal school. The wings didn't help much, even with concealing them. The one time they come out, everyone either thinks I'm cool or a freak, and hte principal kinda kicked me out, even those the reason was completely invalid and stupid." she said. "And then there's...other problems that kinda mess up a normal day..." she didn't know whether he'd guess or not. "So, my friends read about the Reject Academy. We looked into it, learned all about it, and thought it was a good choice. I wouldn't look so ridiculous, and be with people like myself" she added. Now she was quite glad of hte seclusion, for she knew no one else would hear a single word of hte conversations.

"Sounds like a very tough life you've had."
He put his hand over top of one of hers and felt her soft skin.
"Personally, I don't think you should hide your wings, they're beautiful -- and they're a part of you. Something that makes you unique. And if anyone has something to say about your wings, then they can answer to me!"
Sai got a little tense there and calmed himself when he felt the little island move from the water.

Sakura was suprised by how much he cared. "Thank you. I have always found them quite nice too. Haha, I'll never have to learn have to drive; it's much easier flying." She said, lighting the tense situation some. "But yes, I lost my parents at a young age. But it hasn't been too bad; I've stayed with some people I know well and who treated me kindly, and I stayed in an apartement for a few months once. It's strange to live in an appartment; you can hear anything anyone says on either side of you." she said. She had always found that fastinating, being able to hear THAT much of a conversation when one yells.

Sai always frowned at the sound of the word 'parents', he had never known his parents or even remembered anything about them. He didn't even have a family, no one. He once checked a database in the government building to find a DNA match of his parents, or any close relative -- but there were none.
"What a coincidence... I don't have any parents either. I don't even know if I had some to begin with... no parents, siblings.. relatives... nothing"
Sai had lived his entire life alone, he used to live on the streets, with some other street kids but they were frightened after Sai first found his powers.

"Really? Surely there has to be someone mother and father that exists/existed, or any relative. Did you check with doctors, with blood samples?" Sakura asked, and regretted this; it was probably a very stupid question to begin with. She took a sip of water, in order to not sit there and look dumb.

"I've tried everything possible, DNA matches, Facial matches. It's like I was like I was never 'born' into the world. I can't even remember anything before I was around eight or nine years old... I don't even know my own birthday, so I had to guess by judging how I looked..."
Sai started eating some of the appetizers, they were getting cold and eating always seemed to clear Sai's head.

"Wow..." Sakura could only put it that way. Noticing Sai eating, she realized that she had completely forgotten about the food before. Since she was indeed hungry, she began to eat the appetizers as well. They were quite good; the breadsticks were still nice and warm.

"You know... when I first came to this school (after being evicted from my apartment), I had regrets that I wouldn't gain anything from coming here...
But after meeting you, it feels like it was the best choice I have ever made."
