Hartley Rathaway Have a look inside my head, Emma, and see what 'psychic surgery' does to someone. Is that an invitation dear, as I do my best not to invade unless warranted.

Just putting myself forward as an example of what happens when someone else decides to play 'housekeeper' in someone's memories.
You have no idea, when it's so easy for you to go around in someone else's head and push things around.

Actually dear, you seem to forget I have a past of my own so I am well aware of what can be done to harm another's mind. Charles Xavier. Jean Grey. Selene. Cassandra Nova. I've dealt with them all. Some I lost, badly. Others I have emerged the better. I do not enter another's mind with intent to help unless I am confident that I can.

*sighs*
I really gotta stop sticking my nose where it doesn't belong. All I really wanted to come in and say was that an apology from Guy might help smooth things over, not get into a debate about memory and core values and such.

*stands up and moves behind the bar, patting him on the shoulder**
I understand. You and I do have something in common Hartley, if you take the time to poner it. No debate or arguing intended.
*glances at Guy*
And I believe the offer was already made.

An' like I said. You keep the freak in the rubber batsuit out of it, and I'll try.
She didn't have any business getting involved nohow.

*Slips out of the bistro and shoves her hands into her pockets. Walks aimlessly through the bistro parking lot.*

**smiles**
Been there dear and it's most worth the wait.
**pours herself a glass of OJ**
Actually I was referring to our respective pasts. I used to be one of the X-Men's most dangerous enemies and now I fight alongside of them. I've done so for a number of years and have come close to dying for doing so more than once. And yet, no matter what I do for them, there are so very many who still choose to hold my past against me and mistrust me for past deeds.

Stuck in her ghost form. Feisty as usual. Offering to help me with Shaw. The norm.

She doesn't eat in ghost form, and to my knowledge this is only the second time that it's ever happened. This was a little side effect of being trapped for so long in that giant alien missle. As far as we can tell, it's a mental thing. She's 'forgotten' how to unphase herself.
