"A little. My eyes have adjusted though." He replies distractedly, not looking away from the book, because he's at one of his favourite parts.

Orient remains quiet for a few minutes, but then can't anymore, because he likes talking. "Enjoyin bein a pirate?" he asks.

"Wouldn't know. I'm not really a pirate." He closes the book around his finger, since he doesn't have a bookmark. He looks over to Orient, not expecting him to be sitting there shirtless, "...I was going to ask what you guys do around here for entertainment, but now I think that might be why you came to me now."

Orient looks down, then actually blushes. "No, I just... forgot to put it back on. The leviathan is new. I was looking at it."

Uriel shrugs a bit, since it was a sensical assumption, considering who and what he is. He opens his book again, "So what do people do around here for entertainment? Just get tattoos and look at them?"

Orient chuckles. "I like to steer the ship." he says. "We gamble, we play cards... We drink. Everyonce in a while a fight breaks out... everyone joins. The men complain about the lack of women but... I don't mind." he winks.

He sighs a little, "I should have brought more books." He ponders the last comment of Orient's, "That should be good for business. Men desperate for women will try and pretend I'm one."

"Are they... hard books?" Uriel asks, trying not to feel like a dunce. Lots of people read less well than him. Otherwise, he is quite interested by the chance of new books.

"Some." Orient replies. "Some are in languages i don't know, too. I can help ye with the hard ones." because obviously Orient knows how to read.

Uriel nods a little, "I'd like that. I learned a bit of reading from the orphenage... but I don't get much opportunity to practice it."

"Much too busy lying on my back." Uriel replies. It's far too much of a fact of his life for him to feel embarrased about it. He spends a moment memorizing which page number he's on, then puts his book back in his bag, finally dragging himself to his feet, off of the hammock.

Orient takes Uriel's hand and leads hm to his room, giving the crew wicked looks as he walks by, totally make them think things are happening that aren't.

uriel raises an eyebrow at that, but waits until they get to Orient's room to ask, "If having sex was part of the deal for getting to look at your books, i would have liked to know that in advance."
