Gotta test the defenses. Sort of have to be realistic here. But I have other options, don't you worry about that. xd

Nihilistic_Impact Well lasers would be okay, were he in space. But the atmosphere just diffuses beams too quickly for them to be of any use. Not the lasers of the Power Rangers!

Because lasers, other than simply being intense heat beams, would be composed of high energy charged gases as per the fandom of Star Wars states Storm Trooper rifles fire?

Chaplain Fenix So what's everyone's armor made of? Foam and polyester? the plot.
jello> skull & crossbones. i've never beaten that game. not because it was "hard." no, because there's a time limit and there are little asterix floating around the screen that stop you for a whole second and when you ignore the asterix, they don't go away, they KEEP bouncing around your screen. not the stage, that takes too much memory. they will stay porportionate to the screen and you WILL get stunned, often staying in the air in a failed attempt to dodge, for five seconds at a time. and you have to dodge these while going through a boss parade. and then you fight the last wizard who's making the asterix. you can't get away from him to shoot him or use your sword... you have a limited number of uses for your weapons and after that, it's bare hands.
and if you're in front of him, he WILL turn around and asterix you, and you WILL stand there and take that asterix raping. and when the time runs out, you have a gonk look [no seriously, i'm not making that up] and throw up and you may as well break the game because goddamn i spent years trying to kill that damned wizard.
repressed memories. i'm in my happy place. i'm in my happy place.

Josh has: Steel. ******** steel. Good steel, too. Not this barely over cast iron crap. Darsh has: Smoke blown up our asses in the hopes that we begin hallucinating that he actually has a working suit of armor.

If that's from me then that was a long time ago as I haven't stated anything like that in a long time.

I just copypasta'd the description of Iron Man's armor to use until I actually come up with something.

Nihilistic_Impact Come on Darsh, pliable metal that's resilient too? You want armour to move you throw in joints. Basic principles of armor: To protect against blunt impacts you need solid, rigid plates. To protect against shock or compression damage there must also be padding beneath it. (Read: Platemail) To protect against piercing implements you either need a plate solid enough to stand against the attacking force or break or deform the weapon enough so that it cannot penetrate, or you need a coating that will yield to the incoming force but not allow it to penetrate. (Read: Chainmail) This then transfers the force from impaling an object to a blunt impact upon a small area.

[Yusuke Urameshi] I REALLY hope we take this battle close range. xd Because your spandex suit and foam rubber armor can't stand up to gauss rifle rounds?

themightyjello Because your spandex suit and foam rubber armor can't stand up to gauss rifle rounds? Haha. scream
Nah, because most of the fun is in close quarters. Everyone must love CQC. It's the life of the party.
And I actually have a scenario, provided that Darsh gets the hint when I present it.
