The muscles are crazy good! Actually that reminds me of a picture my father has hung on his wall of some sculpture or something. I can't remember what exactly but it's supposedly a mock classic, but it's really cool. I can kind of see him with like... a diskus (*Spelling?*) in the olympic games back when achilles was the hot stuff!

I made the head a bit larget like you sugguested, but I still have to work loads more on his facial proportions.. whee Sui is my new commission guru. 3nodding I think I will try to take more commissions, because I like being pushed. In freebies and things I draw for myself I can just choose to ignore things I find difficult, but in commissions I actually have to try my best at it.. Like now, I'm trying to paint wings, something I don't think I've ever done, at least not realistically.. gonk Thanks, Jewel. Yeah, that's why I find it so difficult to put a price on digital stuff, you don't actually get it, it's just floating around on the world of internet.. sweatdrop My traditional stuff is pretty expensive, but that's partly because art supplies cost so much, plus people actually get something they can hang on their wall (/store in a cupboard/whatever...) Thanks Roxeii.. Yeah, he kind of reminds me of something antique too, but he is a pretty heroic character, so I'm hoping it's ok. Besides, I'm hoping some colour will make him look less like a statue. xp This is where I am with it now: I really don't like his right arm and hand, but I can't quite put my finger on what's wrong. The angle of the wrist perhaps? I think I've stared myself blind on this, do you have any idea about what I could do better? Also, I used references from a small bird for the wings, so i have a feeling the proportions are off. How do they look so far to you? I would really appreciate any help on this..

@Orielle: You're welcome. ^^ That is why I always prefer traditional over digital. PX I like to touch and admire. I pin all my originals onto the board so I always see it. >w< Now I just need a place to stick the prints I've bought. D:
Are you planning to print it out and mail it to the girl? ><

I don't see why you should price it low JUST because it digital, people could always printed out and hang, just like Deviantart shop does and believe me, there a whole lot of buyers! whee and yea, pressure from commision does tend to made artist improve lol
The wings look the right size to me! 3nodding As for the face, his left eyes just don't corrdinate with the rest and the mouth is a bit slanted...depend on whether you want his head tilted or not you would have to translate them accordingly 3nodding I'm suspecting moving the left eyes closer to the side of his head will help because the position of the chin suggest 3/4 view whee
I think you right about the wrist on the right hand, it look too twisted. I think it would look like it coming at the viewer so we wouldn't see the bottom of the hand if that made any sense rofl I LOVE the left hand though, the veins add beautiful detail to it! 4laugh
Wow you gonna still color after this? whee that a lot of works xp

Jewel: I wasn't planning to do that, because mailing it overseas would probably cost me more than she's paying me.. xp I'm painting huge though (the picture I showed you was at 22% or something) so I may make it available as a print on DA if she's okay with it.. So if she really likes it she can get it as a print.. whee I changed the position of his left eye and mouth, but I think the eye should be a bit higher maybe.. And I've tried to fix his twisted wrist, but I still don't really like it. I've started working on the wings too, soo tedious work to paint each individual feather.. And the feathers are supposed to morph into knife blade, I have no idea how to do that. I'm the first person to paint the character in this form, so I didn't get any reference picture for how the wings work.. Thank you Sui! I'm a bit proud of his skin, especially around his left hand because I'm trying not to make it as smooth and girly like I usually do.. whee Please ignore his asymmetrical nipples, they will be fixed. xp

@Orielle: Lol, you can always add that extra. xD I've never bought the prints from dA. Do the artist get paid if their print if bought through dA?

Anyway it look much nicer now ^_^ and well if you can't fix the hand than you can try to fix the arms instead? rofl I donno about the knife blade thing, maybe draw it half blade half feather? or maybe made the feathers circling it? biggrin

Sorry about disappearing..
I have to work most of the easter.. confused I was supposed to go snowboarding for a few days, but someone got sick at work, so I have to work every day except the official holidays..

Man, sorry I haven't talked to ya lately, Orielle. And for not having that chapter by now.
I got Super Smash Bros. Brawl on my Wii, which is currently forcing me to play it constantly or else I may die. >_>
However, my break is coming up, so I might be able to work on it then. sweatdrop
