Ukaia didn't want him to think she couldn't sleep alone. She also didn't want to make him feel guilty. she went back up the stairs quickly and put some cold water o her face and washed her face. It looked better.. he might be able to tell but.. mabye not..
She went back downstairs her fox toy held in her arms.

"I was jus' seeing if Onee-chan was down here...." she mumbled into teddy, looking down at its head and squeezing the bear tightly. Her body started shaking as she started remembering her dream, but she forced herself to stop, though her tail continued to twitch.

Again his brow arched when he saw Ukaia, and he shook his head, smiling. "It looks like there are two lovely ladies in need of comforting." Vincent murmured, then looked between Uka and the child. "How about some hot chocolate to chase the bad dreams away, huh?" He wanted to reach out and hug the child, but he wasn't sure the gesture would be welcomed, coming from an unknown adult male.

Ukaia tilted her head
"i'm fine vincent" she said, smiling at him. THen she smield to the little girl

"Don't lie to me love." Vincent told her gently. I can see you've been crying." Then his eyes went back to the girl as he waited for her reply.

She nodded, watching Vincent. He looks nice.... she thought to herself, then glanced to Ukaia. "I love hot chocolate," she said quietly.

"Just a bad dream.. nthing big" she said Thenshe knelt beside rose
"i remember you though.. it's beena while hasen't it little one" she said soflty
"I see your bear is doing good.. Oneka missed visitng with em" she said smiling happly. Her tailm motioned for vincent to get the hot chocolate

Vincent smiled and went to the kitchen, starting the hot chocolate. As he did, he wiped a hand over his eyes, hoping the two could comfort each other a little in his absence.

Rose nodded, lowering her bear a bit. "I had a bad dream too...'cept....I don't think it was a dream...." she said, scrunching up her nose in thought. "I think it was a memory or something..."

Vincent came out with three cups of hot chocolate. He knelt so that he was on Rose's level, handing it over with a gentle smile. "There you go, little one." he murmured, then handed Ukaia hers as well, giving a her a gentle kiss. Then he stood and leaned against the bar, watching as he sipped his own cocoa, concerned.

Rose shifted her bear as she took the cocoa. "My dream....I was in my village....o-on Jade. I had just turned six, it was the day or something after my birthday..." she said slowly. "Then...the sun went away....no one could see anything....and then....the....the shadows started appearing....." Her hands started shaking, almost spilling the cocoa.

Vince put down his mug and knelt beside the girl, putting his hands over hers to steady the mug, golden eyes filled with compassion and understanding. He wondered briefly if she could continue, then decided it couldn't do much harm. After all, you had to get the poison out before the wound could heal.
