Something like "Golden Idol".
"Shisa" is the name of a type of little symbolistic idol thing (don't know much about them) that are common in Okinawa and on Iriomote Island. biggrin
I'll trust you on "Kana". If that's correct, Kanashisa could mean "Golden Idol" or some such thing, which would make sense if you factor in Glory. biggrin
Of course, I could be wrong. DS feel free to correct me tommorrow.

But "shisa" wasn't there. I guess that'd make sense since you said they're little idols from islands and this is more a "general Japanese" site, I'm sure. All it had was "shi" and "sa." razz

well Kanashisa has had a really hard life before she met Medri, her parents where killed in the war and She was abused until she was like 12 years old and then got dragged into the army. THere she became a huge killy freak and meet Medri, Medri was the only person to ever treat her well! EVER!

Well I SAID I could be wrong! xp Plus, there's like...nothing to go on. Even the syllables could have different kanji. And since I don't KNOW kanji, it's very hard to translate....
Can you at least break down the syllables? Is "shisa" one word/kanji, or is it just "shi" and "sa"? Sheesh people, give me some credit! I don't even have a book about this stuff....
Also, Sho is a loon. Somebody fetch him later? I don't know where he lives, or when he gets home from school. rolleyes
