Thrain okensheild well dont know if you all know about the Space wolves but thats what i play. there very difrent from the rest of the space marines the are supersticious and very good at killing what ever there tould to kill (usually). any way have to go bake to class evil Im not sure how to respond to this. I want to be rude, but at the same time thats a great way to get rid of potential. I also want to ask if its a joke, but that could be considered rude. So I guess all i can say is that people need to read more into a guild before posting.

Nuclearwinter King Kento BLAIRCONZ Nuclearwinter BLAIRCONZ So this is my first post, let me just say... The angels of death will sweep aside the lessers of this universe and once more will the God-Emperor of man sit at the throne of the galaxy! yes yes, we know all that aready. no need to state the obvious. better to just get involved in the discussions. Fair enough I suppose that the logic of the shotgun is that you do not have to be spot on with your aiming (if you have fired a real shotgun you will know what I mean) so you can loose more shots without spending time to aim. Thats all well and good, as anyone should hopefully know. We happen to be discussing small pewter shotguns used in 40k though. Its a rhetorical question because of how rediculous the shotgun option for scouts is.the only reason it's useless now is because of the new rules. now you can move and still rapid fire so it becomes useless. regardless I wouldnt say it stuck out is a very useful option in 3rd edition either. Perhaps it had some minor usefulness, but I cant imagine much, and either way not as efficient for shooting or assault as going with bolters, or going with bolt pistols and ccw's.

Pontius Pirate BLAIRCONZ The shotgun is really prettyy substandard compared to the others but it is and option and better to have options than to not. True, but superfluous options often leave one to question the value of options at all. Hmm, you make a good point. But as a lead in to my next topic, may I ask, who uses the varient chapter rules? I personally like the See But Don't Seen/ Have Faith in Suspicion combo so I can have infiltrating Tac. Squads to give my army more of a commando feel.

Hell some people play Ultramarines with a trait that doesnt overtly change the army style. Im more interested if there is anyone who doesnt use the traits.

I kid I kid. Ill rephrase that, is there anyone who we'll say is beyond the beginner state though thats pretty vague who doesnt use chapter traits. Also I cant see a reason not to use them anyways, not that it means there necessarily helpful to someone's play style, but I see it being incredibly unlikely that someone who plays and isnt just starting out wouldnt make use of at least one trait. Meh.

Like Uphold the honour of the emperor and Die standing. Not a major change in play style if you dont use drop pods. But if thats your thing I guess.
