Daren rolled his eyes at the emphasis Tim was placing on 'cartoons'. he'd already explained they weren't like american cartoons, all that was left was for Tim to see for himself. "if you don't like it or want something more action-y we can change it. though, if you continue to call them cartoons i may just put on Elfen Lied and let you watch the first ten minutes. a couple hundred people die in a rather bloody way." he himself enjoyed Sekai-ichi and he had a feeling that Tim would too.

Daren let Netflix switch over for them, not wanting to move to get the remote. "i always have to laugh at the yaoi hands, though. it's typical in yaoi for certain aspects to be over emphasized. hands, arms and legs length and broad shoulders are the most common things. this one isn't bad, definitely not the worst i've seen. one of these days i'll have to show you a tag i found on tumblr called yaoi anatomy. it's pretty funny." the door bell rang half way through the episode and Daren hit pause before getting up to sign for their food. he thanked the man before taking the bag to the coffee table and unloading the delicious smelling wonders onto the table. "didn't know how hungry i was until i opened this sack. Tim will you go and get plates and drinks? you can have whatever you want but will you grab me one of the peace teas?"

Daren had suggested plates so they could each have a bit of everything, but with the amount of food they had ordered it didn't seem like it mattered that much. if Tim didn't mind sharing, he would too. "works for me." he grabbed a pair of the chopsticks and started on his sweet and sour pork, one of the pea pod beefs balanced between his legs and a rice between his leg and the arm rest. "he really is terrible at picking out appliances, isn't he?" he shook his head, "if you want i can come take a look at it, probably just a loose pipe or something. he should be able to return it, if it's that new."

Daren looked away, his instinct was to offer the bedroom here. tim had broken up with Jason, so there wasn't anything to worry about with that, but at the same time-would his offering be seen as more than just a place to stay? he swallowed and looked down at his food rather than at Tim, "well, you always have a place here." that didn't sound too leading, did it? "pets, huh? you getting a cat of your own?" he teased, changing the subject

Daren nodded, "that would be a good idea, if you moved back here i'm sure apple would like the company." he moved his food around with his chopsticks, i've missed the company too-" he finally added, so softly he himself barely heard it. "only if you want to, but i have one rule if you move back." he looked up and met Tim's eyes, holding them, "no drinking. you can go out, but none in the house. i'm sorry, but i can't have that here." it was the one thing he would be firm about and if it kept tim from moving back so be it.

Daren knew he couldn't ask tim to give up drinking completely. he would have to accept what Tim was offering, "if you ever need a ride, call me and i'll pick you up. doesn't matter what time or where, ok?" he didn't want Tim to feel like he had to drive home, or sleep wherever he was at the time he got drunk. he didn't like the fact that it was Andy that had made it possible for Tim to become so dependant upon drinking. hadn't the man paid any attention to Tim at all? it was only noon and their food was almost gone, the question remained of what they should do with the rest of the day. "want to go for a walk? Anna and the kids would be happy to see you."

Daren smiled, "i'm sure they would be more than happy. the kids are in school and the lunch rush will be ending in an hour, we will go then. there usually aren't many people around 1 and 2. so walk through the park and then head over?" he stood, "i forgot your coat at Andy's but you can use one of mine. it'll be big, but you will stay warm at least." he gathered the uneaten food and took it to the fridge before grabbing two coats from the closet. "ready when you are."
