Focusing harder, Kumiko tried the next recipe, hoping it would be easier than the last. She carefully double checked her measurements before mixing each and producing a better poison than the lasted failed one.

Now familiar with the art, Kumiko tried her hand at the earlier recipe once more. She did as exactly as the scroll showed, carefully following each step. The product was finally beginning to look like poison!

Deciding to give the next recipe a try in advance, the small genin mixed materials once more, using different amounts for this particular poison. When finished, she displayed her work for Sanshi to judge.

Moving on towards Medicine creation, Kumiko cleaned her hands of the materials used for poison with her cleansing technique before scavenging around the room for medicinal materials. After finding some in various places, Kumiko got to work, preparing a new batch quickly as she had remembered her father's teaching. The batch came out alright, but she thought she could do better.

Quickly redoing the same recipe for pain relievers again, Kumiko was able to replicate the results from her first try, though now more efficient at easing and numbing pain. Deciding to keep them in case Shiro needed them again, Kumiko set them on a different desk than the poisons.

Deciding to perfect her technique of healing, Kumiko got out a kunai and quickly gave herself a small cut on her hands before concentrating her chakra into the palm of her hands again, creating a small ball of chakra there. After a while, she let the chakra ball disappear, deciding to try again.

After taking a small breath of air, Kumiko focused her chakra into a ball in her palm once more. Now with a bit more control, she held it up over her minor cut, but it did not seem to be healing. Canceling the technique, she huffed and tried once more.

Kumiko summoned her chakra into her palm again and held the ball over her cut as the wound began to heal up. Admiring her now healthy hand, the genin smiled to herself before feeling dizzy from using so much chakra with no time for breaks.

The little ones were training rather well, and san would have to give them some credit. Just now, hashing out and fixing the basics was a very important step to team work overall. If they didnt understand how they worked on a micro level, then how could they piece them together on a macro level.

Kumiko smiled and ran up to Sanshi before concentrating her chakra into her right hand and then striking Sanshi in the chest with the technique. After this, Kumiko decided to give the man a minute to recollect himself before attempting again.

Kumiko then did the same thing once more to Sanshi, charging her chakra before striking Sanshi in the same spot. Afterwords, the small genin frowned and gave the man a small hug. "Sorry for using it on you, Professor."

Shiro stepped to the side and made sure he was in front of Sanshi, but not too close to him. The genin know that at any second Sanshi could kill him if he wanted to. He focused his chakra into the palm of his right hand and looked at Sanshi. The genin was having issues focusing enough of his chakra into his hand to be able the jutsu, but he didn't make it known, he just let the chakra dissipate and would try again. [1/2]
After a couple of seconds from his first failed attempt Shiro took a deep breath and started to focus his chakra into the palm of his hand. This time he felt the chakra flowing more easily, and started to move his hand to face Sanshi. He was about to release the chakra when Kumiko walked over to Sanshi and hit him with her own jutsu the first time. When it didn't work the first time, and she drew back slightly Shiro thought she was finished and started to let his chakra flow out into the jutsu as she went to hit him again, getting right in the way of the attack. Luckily Shiro hadn't released his chakra yet and had enough time to move his hand upwards so it wouldn't hit either of them before the bolt of lighting was released. AH! MY DRAGON BALLS! San had his lungs deflated several times, so the pain and the experience was nothing new to him. James had the capability of using this jutsu from almost 30 feet away, and it was a pain in the a** to have to handle sometimes. Letting his body completly, relax, not fighting the exhale of air at all, san gave his system a few anaerobic seconds before trying to inhale again, allowing his respiratory to reset itself properly.
And then it was the lightning jutsu of Shiro. While he was prepared to defend if neccessary, San could only smile about how he wouldnt aim a jutsu at a possible team mate...at least not a second time. Maybe the kid was learning his lesson, and was moldable.
"Oye...good jutsu kumiko. Ill have James show you how he does it when he gets back. Its really something. Why dont you try an elemental jutsu now? Maybe starting with Raiton? How about you and Shiro both try the Lightning beam technique?
And good job aiming away shiro. Its one thing to practice technqiues on eachother prepared to take them, and then its another to be blindsided. At your groups level, i want you to be acclimated with getting hit with some of these terrible sensations...so you keep a stern unbend able mind when in the field.
Aika, i want you to use your chakra and put a finger to the ground...see how many signatures you can sense. This should be very helpful later on in your career. "

Aika nodded and knelt next to shoroi, placing her fingers on the ground. She shut her eyes and felt for a moment. Lots of civilians to the west of them, a few signatures inside the university of people working. She could feel those close to her, like Shiroi's heartbeat and San's voice vibrating through the ground. "Thats kinda handy..." she said and looked toward san. "What do you think the max range on this is?" She asked out of curiosity.
Aika looked at a statue near them. She stared at it for a good long moment and walked over to it curiously. She started attempting to lift it, grabbing its base and lifting up with her knees and putting her strength into it. The thing just wouldn't budge. She read about this jutsu in the scroll and surged chakra to her hands and into the object. The object started to move, lifting easily after a moment as she relocated the statue next to the entrance of the university.

Aika continued to train where as the others seemed to be stumped by their recent jutsu assignments. They would need to pick it up if they were to be prepared for the field evaluations.
"Nicely done Aika. The sensory distance is variable depending on the person, but i think the average is about half a mile i believe. For the next technqiue, try and make a hill out of your doton chakra. it should make for an interesting change in scenery."

"Ill give it a shot.."she said with a brief shrug. She walked into the middle of the training group and gathered her chakra into her core. She started a slow dance, her chakra visibly seeping into the ground around her as she turned and lifted an arm upward. As her arm lifted, so did the ground as if by strings from a puppet. She got it to a reasonable size and smiled. "Like that?" The girl looked very pleased'
Shiro looked over at where he had layed Yukiko down to make sure she was still there. When he saw that she was he smiled before turning back to Sanshi. Doing the same methods that he did for the lightning bolt technique he focused his chakra into his right hand. Shiro then pointed his hand towards Sanshi, but was aiming far above his head so no one would get hit, and then released the chakra. Just a simple lightning bolt was sent out. [1/2]
Shiro sighed and tried again. He focused his chakra back into his right hand, but this time added more chakra to it. Unsure of what this technique would actually do he would change from aiming it near Sanshi, to aiming it straight up in the air. When Shiro felt that he had accumulated enough chakra he pointed his palm to the ceiling and released the chakra. A large beam of electricity was sent towards the ceiling, and random arc of electricity came off of it at various points. After a few seconds Shiro closed his fist, ending the jutsu.
San brought some of his iron sand together to make a large bowl about 8 feet deep, and then performed a quick summoning technqiue to fill the bowl with water.
"Shiro, i want you to see how long you can stay underneath the water. see if you cans tay absolutely still....
Aika, make a genjutsu about allies approaching...."

Kumiko set down her medical jutsu scroll and then walked over to a nearby shelf and grabbed a Raiton scroll, reading how to perform the technique listed before performing the hand signs and shooting an arcing beam from her small hand. Amazed by this, Kumiko looked shocked and amazed, deciding to try it again.

Kumiko performed the nessacery hand signs before the beam was shot out of her hand once more, Kumiko having to control it to have have any spare arcs hit any of her fellow ninja.

The small genin stopped to catch her breath as well as gather up the chakra she had spent practicing this new technique. She performed the signals this time and then unleashed the lighting onto a dummy far away from the group. It showed signs of burning from the intensity of the electricity.

Deciding to give it one last shot, Kumiko readied herself before quickly readying the jutsu and then firing the lighting bean upon the target again, now focusing all of her energy as it broke apart, one of the halves of the dummy still intact.

Aika looked curiously at San for a moment. Genjutsu wasn't her forte, but this was a simple genjutsu she had read about. It could be useful in a few situations. Thinking about it, it was a simple misdirection jutsu that made people think something was amiss. (1)
She formed the seals depicted in the scroll for the jutsu and pushed them through her bells throwing the sound about the area. The sound of a broken stick and the glint of a weapon would be seen just inside San's peripheral vision and a quick burst of movement from cover to cover behind Aika. She sighed as the jutsu finished. Thinking about it, a radio piece could be of major use here.
Sekkin Kyoushoukoku no Jutsu [ Approaching Allies Technique ] learned
Shiro wasn't sure what he was suppose to do for this next jutsu, everything else seemed natural, but this one he was going to actually have to read up on. The genin grabbed a suiton scroll and looked up the water breathing technique and read about it before looking at the bowl of water. [1/2]
With a sign the genin took off his jacket, headband, shirt, boots, and socks and then used his chakra to walk up the wall adjacent to the bowl so it would be easier for him to get into it. With a grimace the Genin left himself fall into the water and held himself down. After three minutes he stared using his chakra he seperated the oxygen from the hydrogen and started to breath air while down there. [Learned Suimenka no Kisoku [ Breathing Underwater Technique ] ]
Shiro's head popped out of the water and he pushed himself up to the edge of the bowl. "The water's cold Sanshi," he said trying to be humorous.
