"At least it's not real this time... doesn't make it hurt less at the moment," She grumbled and then took a moment to think on their situation.
"It sounds like you leveled most down here, or they suddently got exceedingly quiet," She stuck her ear out to listen and then looked up, "I hear at least five up there. Distinctive footsteps."
She looked around and thought and then sized Jacen up for a moment and started to talk to herself, "I weigh less than you..."
"Hey," He protested before she gave him a look.
"Okay, I can jump up there but need some help," She started pulling out throwing stars and placing them strategically in hand, "Can you use your strength and energy blast to give me a huge shove upwards?"
"I might hurt you with it... that isn't simulated," He answered not even sure how it would work.
She shook her head, "Don't worry about what might happen. As long as I can bounce off the upward force, I can get myself where I need to go. Come on, we have no time before they start attacking again. I am going to bound off those fallen boards up there and just make sure you get it under my feet."
The only time she had ever gotten something like this to work was bounding off of a TK blast by Jean Grey. Penance knew she had the strength and coordination, she just didn't know if the force from Jacen's energy blasts could be enough to get her where she needed to be. Taking a running start, Penance hit the board just right to put her on the trajectory she wanted. Jacen was able to add to the path she was making herself although it hurt like a b***h when that energy hit her boots. Ignoring it, she hit through the ceiling and released all five of the stars in a spray catching all of the Reavers by surprise and injuring most of them. When she landed hard on her feet, her knee hit the hot ground.
Pulling out her katana and brutally striking one who was injured in the head, "Okay, boys, let's play."
"Fifteen minutes," A timer chimed in the Danger Room reminding them when they needed to finish off their program.
"But I'm just getting warmed up," She said as holographic blood sprayed her blade and her face. Penance had a brutal side that nobody but the Danger Room generally got to see.

"Thats alright, I was just jolted from a sound sleep when the call came up so I was a bit disorientated when they went over everything." She followed him into the locker room and took the slip of paper with her combination to it. "Eh, I understand...stuff happens...no biggie..." She made careful not as to where everything was on her uniform. "Ok, I'll just get changed and wait for him to show up..." She waited for him to leave before changing into the training uniform and stepping outside to wait for classes to start.

Someone's enjoying themselves, Jacen thought as he quickly climbed up top and immediately shot one of the injured Reavers in the face with an energy blast. He was amazed that the guy was still alive, though a majority of his facial flesh was disintegrated.
"Tough time dying?," Jacen remarked as he made his blade appear as he swung, decapitating his foe. "Obviously not tough enough. How you doing over there Penance?"
"Just fine, hon!," she yelled as she took down yet another Reaver. She was up three to two.
One of the Reavers pulled the star from his shoulder, and threw it at Penance out of spite. Jacen out of reflex shot a simple bolt to knock it off it's trajectory. He snarled as he approached the Reaver, trying intimidate him. Unfortunately, it was kind of hard to intimidate a half human, half cyborg. So, Jacen charged head on towards the cyborg, hitting him hard with his powered up shots. Of course, the Reaver was on par with him, matching him blow for blow.
Damn....this!!! Jacen had enough and levelled his elbow hard into the side of his foe's jaw. When he saw the 'borg was sufficiently stunned, Jacen did his trademark and placed both hands, palms out, on the Reaver's chest. In a flash, there was nothing more than a smoldering husk of a man/machine. He heard someone charge at him, and the moment he turned around to fight, he heard, "Computer simulation complete.", and the program shut off, leaving the two standing there in the empty room.
"....That was....fun...," Jacen said, leaning over to catch his breath.
"Usually, I run that one alone," Penance said as she walked over to Jacen, and placed a hand on his back.
"That I'd have to see. But yea. We're going to have to work on that trick, babe."
"I think we'll have plenty of opportunity to do so."
Jacen smiled. "Cool. So, I'm assuming our class begins here shortly?"

Penance opened a computer terminal on the wall to check her messages, "Look like it's going to be a long day today for me at least..."
"Why's that?" He asked her looking over her shoulder.
"Porter wants Alpha Team to help with the Green Team training tonight... he's requested your presence if you want to help. They're studying power control," She closed the terminal and stretched her arms, "At least it's not more fighting."
After unlocking the door, Penance peered out to see if any of their students had arrived. Rachael was the only one there so far. Self Defense class looked like it was going to be small that afternoon. She motioned for Rachael to come in, "Come in, come in. Welcome to the Danger Room."

"That is a good thing," Jacen said and gave her a quick kiss on her cheek before Rachael walked into the Danger Room and Penance gave a quick salutation.
"Is this all we're having for class today?," Jacen grumbled.
"Give it time. I'm not sure if any of the kids realized that it was time."
".........." Jacen folded his arms and leaned up against the wall next to the terminal. It seemed like it was going to be a boring class.
"You know what? You help her with the course. I'm sure you're going to call my attention when I'm needed, right?," Jacen asked.
"Of course."
"Good," Jacen said as he sat on the floor, "Oh. And Penance....next time we do a simulation....let's do it on my terms, cool?"

Rachael looked at the two of them then around. She did indeed apear to be the only one here. "Umm...just to warn you...before the other day, I've never been in a fight in my life..." She was a touch nervous about the whole thing.

Jamie was in the middle of shooting around on one of the basketball courts outside when he finally decided to check his watch. He swore under his breath and started running to the danger room, and was halfway there when he stopped. Should I be bringing a weapon?
He thought on it for a moment, before deciding against it. They'd probably be using the holographic weapons in the danger room anyway. That is, if they used weapons at all. Jamie came sliding through the door, losing his footing slighly, but managed to regain it before falling over.
"Er, sorry I'm late." Jamie said, looking at Penny, Jacen, and Rachael. Hmm. . . they must be taking over for Logan. . . Jamie thought, knowing that it was unlikely that Jacen and Penny would take a self-defense class, having as much combat experience as they had.
"Hey, Rachael right?" Jamie said, holding out his hand. "I'm Jamie."

Courtney was tired and bored of the lesson. She was fifteen minutes into her half-hour break and recuperation time before Reagan would be back to start again. Obviously, what they were training for was going to happen soon, because if the others were working as hard as Corky, they weren’t wasting any time to master their powers. She had it off easy; glass was a relatively simple object to manipulate and she had already had some X-men training sessions under her belt. Courtney was being pushed for more than just barriers now; Reagan had moved her onto making items like keys and knives, especially offensive tools. She had also been taught to absorb glass quicker in case there was a lack of it wherever they were going. The whole situation was getting more and more sketchy to Courtney, and she was beginning to wonder what was going on.
But it was the first break in what felt like forever, since Reagan had not let her off easily earlier, and Corky didn’t want to waste it. She had quickly lit up another cigarette (her ‘mentor’ being gone), and lounge on one of the couches, when her cell phone went off from inside her Fendi bag. It was just a little ring, not the Pon de Replay poly that signaled she got an actual call. Someone must have only text’d her, and it must have been someone from Ohio, because she didn’t have anyone’s digits here. She groaned and reached into her bag, pulling out the slim Razor and flipping it open. Courtney was right, it was only a text and all it said was ‘hey gf sup? Lol we miss u gt lts of dirt call! <3 kl’. Corky let out a very loud ‘HAH’ and pushed it back into her bag, way at the bottom. She was so over them, and was not going to immediately type back, if she ever did. She had to make them think that her new life at the fabulous and exclusive boarding school was tight, even if she had dropped out and was currently in the ranks of the more bad asses of Bayville.
She wondered what the others would be doing. Victoria was getting more vicious by the minute, something Corky greatly approved of, and if Sasha was as hard core as she made herself out to be, she wouldn’t need too much training. Really, the three and Noko should start their own b***h Club. Pietro, John, and Noko were old school, so they probably didn’t need much training either, as well as the frog guy and his crew. Markus, the other new guy, she didn’t know about because no one knew much about him.

She looked at the person who had just entered. "Yup, I'm Rachael...nice to meet you Jamie..." She offered him her hand politely. She glanced back at their two instructors waiting for whatever came next.

[ooc: Ginko, Teagan is on her way to Photography, not training. heh, yeah.]
Teagan walked down into the gardens, having just finished off an apple before deciding she had better head down to photography. She was actually quite looking foward to it. She had always been interested in art, especially old photos.
I wonder what we'll learn though. Can you really teach people how to take good pictures? Well, I'm sure you can. It must not be easy though, so I guess Jean must be pretty good at this. She thought, as she continued walking.
Hmm, plus, there's training tonight. I know it's optional, but I think I'll go anyways. I think I need it. Teagan said to herself before stopping in front of Jean.
"Well, I take it you're Jean Grey, and I'm here for photography." She said, smiling slightly as she scratched the back of her head.

"Oooo, you owe me," She winked at Jacen and then answered his last comment, "I'd like to see your terms but I can live with that."
So far two of the students were there, "I'm expecting a few more, and as you can tell, I am not Logan... and if you thought I was, I might be insulted."
She was glad the class was only four minutes long. Her bones were already tired from the Danger Room session. Her feet hurt most of all from that insane stunt with Jacen's powers. The heat had really scorched her soles. She was looking forward to the Green Team training more, at least she could somewhat relax.

OOC: I am posting as Jean here, I'm too lazy to log into her NPC.
"Teagan, it's a pleasure to meet you first hand. I only breifly got to see you on our last mission," Jean said sweetly and offered her hand to Teagan for a hand shake, "Our cameras are all over on the table ready with film and everything. I'm expecting a few more students but feel free to start testing the equipment."

Now that he was ready to finally start his class, Pete Wisdom moved toward the front of his desk and leaned against it facing into the room. Folding his arm over his crisp whit dress shirt gazed curiously at his only pupil. She seems...intimidated, but alert all the same, he thought, Good, all the merrier.
Standing up again he moved to in front of the blackboard "Prepare. For. Anything," he said plainly indicating each large yellow letter in turn. "These are the words you will learn to live by weather you like it or not." Smiling at her obvious lack of comprehension he pressed on, only this time in more detail.
"Let me say this then Miss. Dogwood, if you're out on a mission if you had the chance, would use your god given gifts. Am I correct in saying that?" The young mutant nodded slowly, still not exactly sure where this was going.
"Well now think about this," he continued almost royal air taking over, "if things suddenly turn for the worse and you couldn't use your powers, then what would you do?"
This time there was no response from the teen.
"And that," he said pointing directly at her confused figure, "is why you're here. You're here to learn how to win in those types of situations and that, Miss. Dogwood is where true power lies."
Victoria simply stared back at him, eyebrows raised in mild curiosity. She tried her best to keep her expression blank, but there was something lurking there, just below the surface. It was a thirst for knowledge. The thirst for knowledge and power. Literally teetering on the edge of her seat in excitement, she silently begged him to continue with his teachings.

Pietro raced through the track, keeping his mind focused to avoid any obstacles. Flames, spikes, barriers and vats of what appeared to be acid were randomly appearing about the course, never appearing int he same place twice. He was forced to run at near-max speed for this exercise to work properly, to fully develop his superspeed senses.
Standing above the cource, Professor Porter casually opened teleportation portals throughout the course, and seemed aware enough of his surroundings to repeatedly form them right in front of Pietro, and transporting him elsewhere on the course. As a result, his frame of reference was consistently changed, and he had to react all the more quickly. His outfit, usually untouched after such an exercise, was now burned, torn, and large parts melted. Pietro was actually forming a sweat.
It was the most fun he'd had in months.

Sonya was still racing around looking for Login's class when she accidentally ran into Racheal and Jamie infront of the danger room. "Oh I'm soo sorry," she said, helping them both back up, "I was just trying to look for Mr. Login's classroom. I'm in his defensive class. Do you guys know where it might be?"
Sasha was sitting down, legs crossed infront of the bright lantern. Her eyes where closed and it seemed she was trying to concentrate.
"Let everything around you fade away," began Moonstar, walking around her, "Keep your thoughts keen in my dreamworld. Search for my greatest dream."
Sasha was breathing in and out slowly. Infront of her was a pile of sand.
"Do you have the dream you need?" asked Moonstar.
Sasha nodded. "Then begin your procedure."
Opening her eyes, she looked down at the sand. It began to grow and form into an elderly indian man. He had long grey hair in two pigtails, with a feather sticking out on top of his head. His wrinkles and age appearance didn't seem to make him so old, but appear so wise instead. Moonstar's eyes shined as they were slowly watering.
"Well down," she said, choking a little.
The sand figure went back to regular sand.
"Who was that?" asked Sasha.
"My grandfather. He was killed when I was young," answered Moonstar.
Sasha looked down. "My mother died of cancer when I was 16. And my father left when I was 6."
"It always hurts deeply when someone you care and love so deeply for leaves you, young wolf cub. But you must move on. That is what that person would want for you."
She patted Sasha on the shoulder. "Now wolfcub, try to seek my strongest fear. But this time with your eyes closed."
"But how will I know what I'm doing," protested Sasha.
"To have full control of your powers, you must trust your powers, and be able to use them to every one of your senses. Starting with sight."
