Wynter walked into the park, scuffing her feet on the ground. Her hands were behind her back and her head facing the ground. 'How long has it been? Where have we been? She stopped in a clear spot and looked up at the sky. "What a beautiful night."

Zach's long absence had been riddled with fights, confrontations, and getting in with wrong crowd. Now that he's returned to New York, he's tring to get himself straight again...back on the beaten track. His white button down, hung loosley and in tatters on his now broad shoulders. The fights had done wonders for his physique, but his attitude needed readjusting. He sulked about Central Park, reacquainting himself with all the old sights.

Her mind was running crazy. Finally, she knew it would happen, a single tear fell from her face. Soon, it became more and more. She found a tree and sat down. She pulled her knees close to her chest and wrapped her arms around them. She put her head imbetween her knees and began to cry.

Zach's sensitive ears picked up the sound of a familiar cry. His ears, slightly pointed from changing so much in the past several months, perked. "Wynter...?" He gasped, he hadn't seen her in so long, and now that he thought about it, he wondered just how long it had been.

Hearing her name, she lifted her head slowly. She looked around in the darkness. Her eyes had ajusted from the crying...she saw a familular face. "Z....Zach?"

For the first time in a long time, a genuine smile spread across his face. Though it didn't look like his old smile, the frequent changing of forms had given his features sharper, less human hints to them. His nose and chin were more pronounced, he looked gaunt, the heavy bags under his eyes and the thinning face of a more mature person gave him an almost evil smile...

She stood up instantly and went running to him. She threw her arms around him. She pressed herself against him. "Where have you been?"

He took her into his arms with surprise. "Out..." He said simply. His travels had left him with few words to say, since he'd been only in the company of his shadow. He taller now, with a more confident and proud stance, and his eyes surveyed her hair before she looked up at him...

She pulled away slowly. "Thats all you can say to me? After all this time, thats all you can say." She turned away from him. "I have been worried sick about you for months, and hoping nothing had happened to you, and all you can tell me is you were out."

Zach chuckled at her sudden protest. "I suppose I owe you an explanation, don't I?" He offered. He rested his hands on her shoulders, "Come back to my apartment and I'll explain everything...I'd rather not go through it all here in the presence of hidden eyes and ears..." He whispered in her ear, leaning over her shoulder.
Before he left, he held out his elbow like a gentleman of old times, wiating for her to take it and follow him...

There was a certain darkness hovering over New York. The darkness Takiko loved to take control of. Though this was different. As Takiko walked into the clouded moon-lite park, she felt as though someone else was there. It was a feeling she quickly brushed off as she waited for Zarathos to catch up. Takiko let herself sit against an old oak tree. Obviously the park had not been in good shape. Mortals must be losing their jobs and not being able to water the grass. The moisture in the air was enough to keep the grass green, but to allow a few tree to willow. Takiko relaxed easily, using the trunk to sit upright. It amazed her how exhausted her body really was.

Zarathos landed next to Takiko with a bone crunching sound. He got up from his knees and cracked his neck"Now what?"He asked calmly

Takiko involuntarily winced when she heard the bone-crunching sound. The cracking sound from his neck caused her to flinch again. "Can you be any louder?!" She glared at him, her fangs already elongated. It was clear her instincs had increased her senses. The excitement of being able to allow herself to kill pushed herself to show the ivory fangs carefully tucked in her lips. Though, at this moment, Takiko knew the easiest thing to do would be to seduce some victim... As repulsing as it sounded.
