I downloaded the lazy person's guide to Mugen. Do a google search for Mugen All Character Battle Zero. Should come up as a torrent on mininova.
That basically supplies you with all you need. Finding good characters/stages/a good interface is a bit of a b***h, but they supply you with some pretty decent ones right off the bat.

Yeah, M-I had to go and get offline.
So I'm using Mugen Fighting Jam as a replacement.

dgenjuro made the only ukyo in existance, apparently. i had it... an obscure page under boxes and lots of links and google... but i found him. and he plays wonderfully. but it was like... right before my comp started its major problems, like memory getting eaten up and losing the video card info randomly. mid-format and backup, i lost it.
never found a ukyo again. ever.
oh, and dgenjuro quit the scene, taking all of his chars with him. orochi herman [another char maker] is still around, i saw him in one of the more obscure chan channels. i'll search for and "hassle" him for ukyo.

i like the move that was added on... his anime flash super thing. slides across, screen goes black, and it's him talking, with kanji being written on the screen while the opponent can't move. and then the blood spray.
wind has a nice max super, but her sprites are crappish.
