My female cat Ashia stopped eating a few days ago and began to look emaciated. Today we went to the vet and fortunately she's not dying. (When cats stop eating it is important to get them to the vet asap because their liver will shut down.) She's 14 years old now so I was worried that her body was shutting down, but the vet said all the blood work came out surprising normal. She believes she has a G I problem and prescribed some nausea and antacid meds for her. I also can only feed her wet food, pate style chicken only. I gave her the first dose of the nausea med tonight and feed her 30 mins later, she finally ate something. I'm so relieved. Old pic below for reference.
