So near, yet so far.

The physical presence began to fade. O-Kuni's manifested form was withdrawing back into the blade. He would continue to watch Javos, if only to enjoy what he knew was coming. By now, Iden was on his way back, with his base needs only marginally met. Javos would no doubt suffer again before Iden dragged him away, out of the Tavern, out of the country even.

You shan't ever be alone, poor little Ceilican.

*The cat curled up, ignoring Kuni. Tucking his head down, he rolled his massive shoulders, curling up into a ball - the cat foetal position. His fur was soaked with tears and sweat, but he wouldnt make a noise. There was nothing left to struggle against, nothing left he could do. He was trapped, and frightened.*

As soon as Javos curled into a ball, something festering, decaying, and skeletal would be curled within the fetal position. His body had curled around it, almost as if it had appeared AFTER the position had been adopted. Certainly, the stink had only just arrived.

It was a diseased, blight ridden ferret. Most of the fur was gone, replaced by putrid flesh that flaked off in clumps. Bones were visible, and as a whole the creature looked as soulless as one would expect of the avatar of the newly corrupted Brujah.

*Javos let out that now trademark yelp again, uncoiling like a spring and LEAPING the bar ot get away from the stinking THING under his nose.
His claws bit into wood as he crashed into a table and knocked it over, eyes wild and wide, flashing around the room, looking for the host that may have come with the ferret*

No no no! Go away! Leave me alone!

*He backed up, tail tucked far under his legs, into another corner of the Tavern, so very scared, so very alone*

The ferret was tossed at the shelves, merely because Javos had bodily hurled HIMSELF. Amidst the clatter of glass, as bottles were shoved aside.

Slowly, the rotting face peered out. The eyes, which looked black, as if filled with congealed blood, peered out at Javos in a mockery of the animal curiosity the original creature had felt. Quietly, the little rodent scrabbled from the shelf, and scampered towards Javos with that same, soulless gaze that made fun of its original self.

*The cat snarled, letting the ferret approach, remembering that damage to an avatar hurt the host. And this was a small mammal - his natural prey.
Waiting until the ferret came close enough, with a clear enough shot, he pounced like lightning, paws cupping to prevent escape, claws shooting out to rend into the rotting creature*

Leave me the hell alone!

The ferret squealed when Javos pounced upon it. It seemed to be genuinely terrified, for all its macabre appearance, and it scrambled wildly to try and escape.

The claws did not stop the creature at first. It kept thrashing, a low groaning chirp being the only sounds it could make in it's desperation. Eventually, Liela would go still, though she was hardly dead or destroyed.

*The ferret neednt have worried - the very SECOND she squeaked, Javos let go, barely wounding her. The constant stress on his mind was snapping him, and for all she was rotten and ragged.... Javos couldnt go through with biting her head off. It just wasnt in his nature. He was a peacful creature at heart, and he just couldnt take this anymore.

Pulling his claws back, he coiled once more into a ball, racked with sobs as he tried to worm into the very woodwork of the wall*

Leave... me... alone...

The stinking, pitiful creature he had torn into remained quite still. More flesh had been carved away, though it seemed the ferret would never quite run out. For every patch of skin and meat that peeled away, there seemed to be more, perpetuating the vile appearance it upheld.

Yet, after a few seconds, the ferret tentatively scampered up towards the terrified Ceilican. It seemed to be sniffing at him, with the nose that had long since been rotted shut by filth and blood.

As Javos tried to keep away, so then did the ferret try to ease her way up against the cat, nestling tenderly against his fur with a quiet complacency that ran completely against what the poor feline had endured to this point.

*He wasnt up to fighting anymore. He couldnt. If Leila pushed her way into his fur to lay nestled in the warmth of his body, he wouldnt stop her, he simply curled himself as tight was was physically possible, hiding form the world.
He wouldnt understand kindness from the ferret at this point, and to be frank... kindness was the WORST thing he could be offered, considering the pain he KNEW would come. Leila woudl be tolerated, but not welcomed. She was Iden's mobile eyes and ears. Bitterly... the Ceilican hoped Iden was enjoying the view of his terrified form. The Ceilican had no line of defence left, no last bastion to fall back on*

For all the little rodent stank of disease and death, it really was just wanting a nice warm place to curl up to. And so, that's exactly what it did. Liela was quite content to leave Javos in peace, once he stopped moving and let her into his fur.

And several long minutes would drag on. It was just a period of quiet, while the abomination was away. O-Kuni had no cause for input...which left Javos to his silent fears.

Of course, that wasn't to last, naturally. The blow came just about out of nowhere, a swift, sharp kick to break Javos from his little fetal position.

Wakey wakey little kitty!

*Javos' 'rest' was as troubled as could be expected, but when Iden's blow hit the coiled up cat, it was like kicking a puddle of furry warm water.
His paws spilled across his chest as he bonelessly uncoiled from his curled up position, creamy belly fur showing as he rolled onto his back, a position of total surrender.
His dull eyes were half lidded as he gazed up at Iden as if unseeing. He didnt know where Liela had got to, and didnt feel the need to protect a walking piece of Iden anyway. Maybe he'd given up. Maybe he was waiting his time. Either way, for now, his claws stayed sheathed, his muzzle closed, not giving Iden the joy of a response or a yelp*

When Javos flopped aside, Liela had been dislodged. She had fallen to the ground where the Ceilican had been. And slowly, Iden's gaze lowered to the pitiful little creature.

Huh.

There was a sickening crunch as the boot rose, and fell, crushing the decayed little ferret. The stink was made more pungent by the fact that it was now smeared across the floor in a grotesque sort of way. But he did not stop there. No, he leaned in to grab at Javos' neck, to lift him bodily from the ground.

*The cat merely closed his eyes, letting his full weight hang in Iden's claws. He'd taken in what the Abomination had done to Leila, but still showed no signs of fighting back or even caring about his own future.

And he'd stay like that until Iden either went to shake him, or whatever. Only after Iden thought the cat wouldnt fight back... would he suddenly lash out with all FOUR paws, slicing into Iden anywhere he could, especially the forearm holding him*

I told you to LEAVE ME ALONE! Get off me you obsessive twisted ********! GET. OFF. Gotta be SOMEONE else you can get your rocks off tormenting...

Iden hauled him up, and it was uncertain WHAT he was going to do. But as Javos tried to claw his way free, Iden took notice...the armband was gone. And his face contorted into a display of rage incarnate.

You b***h!

Rearing his arm back, he hammerblowed Javos upside the head. He was brushing aside the claws of the tired Ceilican with blatant disdain for his wounds. He was gorged and strong, and Javos was tired and weak. His arm was torn open, but Iden pulled back, then slammed the cat violently into the wall.
