Fox shifts a bit, and starts to wake up. When he does, he's a little dazed, having that 'where am I' feeling, combined with a 'what the ******** was up with that dream?' feeling.

Arrow loosens his grip on Fox's waist and props himself up on an elbow. He peers at Fox's face and notices that the Adept his frowning. He waits until Fox wakes up a little more to say anything though.

He shakes his head a bit, determined not to dwell on that. People have weird dreams all the time. They dont' mean anything, and this just shows how lonely he is and how much more time he's been spending with the scout.
He opens his eyes, and mutters another wonderful, "Uh?"

Foxy rather hopes he hadn't said anything incriminating outloud, after all, they'd pretty much just became friends, right? Probably fortunately for his sanity, he's not awake enuogh to notice the position they woke up in, "Yeah, a bit of a weird one."

Fox goes back to his house, happily surprised to find that neither Wind nor Flower is lying in wait for him there. And like. Does stuff. That he does.

Arrow goes to the spring and thinks about how much he wants to kiss Fox, and do other stuff to Fox because he's a dirty dirty man.

After a few days off, mostly spent with Fox, Arrow goes back to work. He expects it to be a quiet night, because they generally are, but he's dead wrong. About midway through his shift, he comes across something horrid. It's a changecat, leftover from the last mage storms. One they hadn't disposed of yet, and it seems intent on destroying Arrow.
He tries to Mindcall for help for it doesn't seem to work, and all the while, the Cat is gaining on him. He uses the trees to get away, because the cat is big, but not before it does significant damage to him with its claws. Finally, he gets a mind message out. ::Fox?:: he asks, ::Wake up! I've got this Change Cat after me and I can't mindcall when it's nearby! I need you to get here as soon as possible, I'm at:: then he proceeds to inform a barely-awake-fox as to where he is, then :: Oh s**t, here it comes...:: the sentence is left hanging as the cat attacks Arrow again, this time scraping off a decent amount of flesh from his left leg.
He shoots an arrow at it, but the arrow seems to do no harm. He only hopes that Fox will get there soon.

When Fox had gotten woken up by Arrow's mindcall, he didn't think too much about if. Of course he started getting dressed, but he wasn't going as fast as he could or anything. Then, he feels the link just cut out, and runs out of his house, despite the fact that he hadn't even started to do up his shirt.
He follows the nightscout's directions, although he's unbelievably worried, since he can't sense or speak to Arrow at all, like he wasn't there. He slows down a bit, really tired from running all the way out here. He starts to think he's lost, and tries to speak out to the nearest other scout, but can't managa to reach out with his gift. He freezes, being very quiet. 'Didn't Arrow say that he couldn't mindcall when it was near...?'
He hears someone yelp in pain just a little bit more in front of him, and he runs forward again. He comes through a bush, and then sees what must be the Change Cat, and it's almost on top of Arrow. Quick as he can, he readies a mage blast and sends the thing flying away from the nightscout.
Usually, they try and see if they can deal with change creatures without killing them, since it's not their fault that they are what they are, but this usual procedure seems to be far from SnowFox's mind as he battles the creature. A normal change beast is no match for an adept though, and it is finished off quickly.
Once the Change Cat is dead, he hurries over to Arrow, and tries to mindcall the nearest scout for help.... But even though the creature is dead, the effect it caused is still working. These forests were supposed to be safe, but then again, look what had just happened. Foxy manages to get NightArrow into a small cave nearby, to wait until either the effect fades, or somebody notices the scout captain's absense and comes looking.

Arrow drifts in and out of consciousness for the most part, still horribly bleedy and in rough shape. His wounds aren't life threatening, but he still is rather on the in pain side.
