Daren went to his bathroom to wash his face properly, looking at the damage done. a black eye was already forming and his nose was swollen and reddish purple. his lip had been split, but that didn't really matter. he lifted his shirt and looked over the bruises that were beginning to form. "not the worst i've had, but he does know how to fight now." he put his shirt back down and hoped Anna wouldn't be by any time soon. he lay down and fell asleep a lot faster than he thought he would.

Apple meowed silently at Tim and rubbed against his leg, happy to have the second two legger back since it made her two legger happier.

Daren woke a little over an hour later, not needing any more sleep than that. he got up and head for the living room, moving quietly in case Tim was asleep, but the man was moving about, cleaning. "you don't have to do that-" he said softly, staying mostly out of sight in the hallway. he didn't feel like stepping fully out just yet.

Daren shuffled his feet a little, but nodded. normally he'd just take off his socks, but he didn't want Tim to see his feet. they had healed, but there were still scars, and there would be for a while. they would fade eventually, but for now he kept them covered. "alright." he went back to his room and got a pair of slippers, bringing out a second for Tim. "might as well have some too, right?" he smiled as he handed them over and looked around, "The place wasn't that dirty, at least i didn't think so. you just needed to do something?" this was good, it was like earlier hadn't happened and he needed that right now.

Daren glanced at the kitchen, "forgot to refill that bottle, sorry. i'vea big on in my bathroom." he went and got it, holding it out to Tim. "here, make sure to drink a lot too." he looked around before sitting on the couch, it was out of the way but he was still there. "you-um," what could he say? "you hungry? could order something, but that might not be good for your stomach. um, i could make some soup or some toast?" he didn't know what to do, he felt useless.

Daren nodded, "there is a great Chinese place that i usually call, they deliver so we don't even have to leave the house." he got up and carefully walked to the kitchen, making sure to avoid the spots that were still damp. he opened the drawer of delivery restaurants' menus and found the Chinese one. "i don't think they have orange chicken, though. sorry. their sweet and sour is really good and they have curry that's pretty good as well. i usually get the sweet and sour pork and pea pod beef."

Daren nodded, "we will get a double order of both of ths as well as an order of fried rice." he pulled out his cell phone and dialed the number, "what kind of soda do you want?" they picked up and he placed the order, adding in the soda Tim wanted. "alright, it will be here in half an hour to forty minutes. now it's the waiting game." he glanced over at Tim and then looked to the tv, "Want to watch something? or play Wii?"

Apple purred and licked the little two legger's nose, showing her approval of being held with pets.

Daren smiled, "glad you've gotten over your fear of cats." he scratched Apple's head and backed off, "here, i've got a new feather duster. she likes those." he bought them just for her anyways. he got it out of the closet and handed it over to Tim before retreating back to the couch.

Apple perked up when she saw the new toy, the last having been finished off not too long ago. her too legger took good care of her.

Daren watched Tim, entertained at the two playing. "Not everyone can wear her out," he said, a little impressed. Tim waved the duster at him and he made a teasing swipe, "rawr!" he chuckled and shook his head, leaning back. "i think not, not my thing." he glanced at the door but there was probably still a good twenty minutes before their food arrived. "hey, there was with new anime on Netflix i started watching the other day. it's pretty good, want to see the first episode?"

Daren used a wiimote to turn on the Wii and get to netflix, "it's Japanese animation, kind of like cartoons but with a wider target audience. there are a lot that are meant for kids and stuff, but also a lot that are for teens and adults. some have some pretty intense, dark themes and some are really light hearted and feel good." he pulled up Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi season one and hit play for the first episode. "some are what is called yuri, which is female on female relationships and some are called yaoi which is male on male. i found this one that is a yaoi, but doesn't get graphic. so no sex scenes, it's actually a pretty good show."
