As Kayato laid there in those last few seconds - seconds that were each an eternity long - his short life flashed before his eyes. His father's death... his imprisonment... being rescued by the stranger who branded the mark on his left hand. Kayato realized that he'd never be able to find the stranger... never be able to thank him for saving his life. Memories he didn't know he remembered passed in front of him. Of his childhood, of his parents. He was a young boy, playing on the jungle gym. A bully had pushed him off, and he was crying. Grabbing the only thing he could - a long stick - he had been able to fend off the bully, effectively managing to hit him into a bloody, splintery mess.

Oddly enough, as the blade pierced his side just below the ribcage, Kayato felt no pain. He was over pain. He felt a calming, a relaxing. The blade kept going past his flesh, sliding down through his organs, and striking the floor on the other side. Kayato could feel the cool of the steel on his upper half, and time slowed to a crawl. He tried to open his eyelids, and get one look at who did this to him. But they felt so heavy...

So heavy...

Kai tore the sword from just below the ribcage and ripped it upwards so it would cut completely through his heart, tear his lungs to shreds and just about crack his windpipe. At this standstill, he could be seen quite clearly. His night black hair and his sharp, sapphire eyes gleamed with a cold, marble like look. He turned to leave, yet as he turned, his gaze softened, and he looked back. The man was still trying... a twinge of sorrow flashed through the deep blue eyes. Why won't her memory leave him alone? Death... he lived by that name now... he lived by it as he lived by the assassin's code. Why did it disturb him? Because of Rivera.

"I'm sorry... please, rest in peace... " Kai bowed to him. With a wound like that, it would take nothing less than god to live on. The grim reaper shouldered his bloody sword, and Kayato's blood splattered slightly onto his cheek.

A calmness fell over Kayato. Everything seemed to be playing in slow motion. He felt the sword begin to slide slowly, painlessly, towards his heart. A few more memories flickered past, each slightly slower than the last.

He could no longer breathe, but for some strange and unknown reason this didn't bother Kayato. He didn't need breathing anyway... The sword reached his heart and he felt his most vital organ be first punctured, then cleaved in two. The two separate halves both beat feebily. Slower, and slower.

The defeated swordsman only faintly heard the words... "I'm sorry... please, rest in peace..."

What a nice man... he has manners. Kayato thought slowly, as the remaining shreds of life drifted away from his body. He would rest, after all...
PostPosted: Fri Sep 29, 2006 3:07 pm

((Um.... now that he's dead... I'll take the liberty of treating his corpse like an inanimate object... no disrespect or anything. Just that it's bad luck to leave corpses all over the place. There ARE necromancers here... sweatdrop ))

Kai felt his aura leave and turned away. His heart hardened again. Throwing his arm out to the side, his palm opened, an alchemy circle ringed around his wrist in a blue disk. Kayato's body began to glow white, condensing slowly into a single sphere of light, blood and all. The sphere floated towards Kai's palm, where he took it gently and let it shatter to silver dust, floating away into nothingness, dissolving through the air. With a mental Atlantean prayer murmured over the dead, Kai let his face harden with his heart. Job complete... now to return...

The Darkkite and his sword left the room as swiftly and as omniously as the grim reaper with his scythe. Until his heart could be melted once more, the young assassin would dwell on the death of his immortal sister... nothing is eternal but what is in the heart... his heart is eternal cold.

En and Bag Fairy
to Wendy and Artemis

En watched impassively as Wendy seemed to struggle with the concept. His eyes widened slightly as the Rachisu leapt for him, but it overshot and flew past him without even hitting him. He tilted his head to watch it for a moment, then turned back to the girl.
This was the first test to see if she was actually worth being trained. Could she bring herself to hurt others? If she had a soft heart and didn't want to hurt others, than there would be no point in training her. But no, she seemed ready to strike.
En flexed his abdominal muscles before her fist impacted against his gut, tightening them and makign his stomach more solid and better able to receive a blow, in case her strength surprised him. No, nothing unusual, about what he would have expected from a girl her age. He nodded and then broke out into a limbering stretch, raising both arms high to point to the ceiling as his back and neck popped loudly.
"Very good, noe we can begin. Put this on."
Letting his arms fall back to his sides, he pulled out a length of bandages as he motioned to her eyes. From that, it seemed he wanted her to blindfold herself with them, but what possible purpose could such an action have on her training, rather than slow it down? Still, he seemed confident there was a reason.

"Ah yes...that's me.....glad you could make it here sir.....my name's Marcus if you didn't already know" he said standing up and brushing himself off, offering the man his hand to help him up. "Well....I have a room all set up and everything, it's fairly big so....you won't have to worry about room" he said quietly, pointing to a door off the the right. This man certainly did look experianced, judging from his arm the the number of swords he carried with him.

Smiling he looked in the direction he had pointed and began to walk over to the area as his tail waved about this way and that. As he entered the area he glanced about bit and stamping his foot on the ground, this would do. Looking back over at his new student he yelled out, "How much training do you have and do you want to learn really quick or really slow?"

Marcus followed in suite, making sure he hadn't dropped anything while he had been sitting there. Closing the door behind him he set his sword down and begain to stretch, making sure his muscles were loose enough for what he was about to propose. "I've got enough trailing to be a somewhat decent fighter sir, my swordplay may not be extremly top notch but it is enough to pass of for decent.....and as for slow and fast...that depends on how good a sparring partner you are" he saidas he picked up his sword, removing it from its sheath he gave it a couple of swings for good measure. "Now listen sir...as a warning I am extremly fast....it is no illusion....I possess near unmatched speed......just a warning" he said quietly, walking a few steps back as he did.

Matthieu left the girl at the front gates. They had stopped speaking... they hadn't even said much, anyway. So he left. He didn't feel bad about it. He just had to leave. He decided to come to the school's training hall. He didn't know what to do. Ashe had left, so he had one real alternative. He pulled his pencil and paper out of his bookbag and sat down in the middle of one of the rooms. He drew a line. And then he stopped. He had almost no idea what to draw. He sighed and looked up. It popped into his head. He would draw a tiger to fight.

He drew the tiger, first doing the basic outline of the tiger's body... and then shape... and then added in details. Afterward, he summoned it and paralyzed it. He had to draw a weapon too. So he drew one he'd wanted to try. He drew a big circle. and then added in small details and a magical enscription that gave it an element of fire. He drew a blade as the final detail and summoned it. It was a chakram. He headed over to a switch to control the weather and changed the surrounding area to a rainforest. And he started fighting.

The tiger sprung at him from a tree. He held his chakram up to block the attack and he almost toppled backwards. Luckily, he was caught by a bush and he got into a fighting stance. The tiger lunged again, but he blocked. The tiger was moving too fast for him. He jumped up onto the bush and ran towards a tree. The tiger jumped in his direction and he blocked with his left chakram. He split the tiger's paw open and it yelped. He felt bad, but knew it was only a drawing.

Coletta had been exploring the school, not really feeling like going back to see her brother. She had landed on the training hall and it had sparked her interest, some of the rooms looked like dance halls. However, Cole didn't feel like dancing at the moment, she was too curious. Thanks to living in a large castle and discovering secret passages her whole life, this aspect of her personality was well developped.

After a little searching, she found a training hall in use. Quietly Cole opened the door to the room and found herself in a jungle, her eyes grew wide as she looked around, never had she been to a jungle before! And this place looked so authentic, even if it wasn't. Cole was just admiring a large-leafed plant when a man tumbled through the brush a couple feet infront of her, followed by a large tiger.

The tiger's paw was cut, obviously by the man, his blade was covered in blood. Coletta forgot herself, throwing out her magic, it immediately attached on to the man's shadow, pining it and the man in place. Cole then ran to the raging tiger. She dropped to her knees in front of it, her eyes steady, even as the tiger advanced on her, blood in it's eyes.

"Non, mon petit chaton, ne fait pas ca, il est tres mauvais." The Tiger stopped and looked at the small 4' 5" tall girl on her knees in front of him, he then looked into her yellowish-gray eyes, whimpered and dropped to all fours, then rolling on to his belly.

Cole forgot about the man, forgot to continue the spell on his shadow, and instead smiled one of her rare smiles and began to rub the giant cat's belly enthusiactically, giggling quietly when he started to purr.

Matthieu looked down. A young girl had wandered into his room and stopped the tiger in front of her. And now she was stroking its stomach like a housecat. He rolled his eyes and hopped down from the underbrush. "Pourquoi as tu fait cela?! he shouted. He looked down at the girl. She was very short. About 1 and a half feet shorter than he. And she looked even shorter on her knees. He was half excited to know that she spoke French, but he decided to slip back into English. "I was fighting that Tiger. It's not even real. The blood is wax." He glared at the girl and looked down at the tiger. He didn't even feel like fighting it anymore.

He looked down and sighed. "Comment t'appeles-tu? Je m'appelle Matthieu" he said. He walked around the girl, examining her, and then he looked at the tiger. He did a good job. It looked like a real one. But he didn't feel like touching it to find if it felt like one too. He pouted again and looked around. It looked like a real rainforest too.

"La Cire?" She didn't believe him that it was wax. Coletta gathered all of her silver hair in one hand, keeping it out of the way as she leant down and licked the creature's paw. It tasted like blood to her. Cole straightened up, still refusing him the answer to his first question.

It seemed a lot of people here in Ria spoke french, there was Etty, herself, Matt and this man who called himself Matthieu. Coletta got up, frowning as she saw how tall he was. The tiger, denied attention, ran off into the rainforest. Coletta resisted the urge to pount and instead pointed to a fallen log a few yards off.

"Sit down." Coletta then decided to tell the man her name, still bristling slightly at his attacking the tiger. "Je m'apelle Coletta Spade. Je suis de la France, et tu? D'ou viens-tu?" Since he could speak in french, she figured she might as well speak it too. Cole then began scouting for a platform so she could be taller then him when he sat.

Wendy and Artemis
To En and Ko-tan

Wendy had connected with En’s stomach with a much more powerful blow than Wendy thought she was capable of. She felt the young man’s stomach smash against her fist, like hitting a brick wall; En was solid for being so lithe. Wendy shook out her left hand and grinned as En told her she was ready for training, though she was not ready to deal with what was to come.

Wendy didn’t question En as he handed her the bandage for her eyes. Oh trust me, Wendy really wanted to, but she felt if she whined too much En would tire of her childish ways and abandon her in training. The young pigtailed girl simply nodded and took the bandages in her hands. She wrestled with the concept of blindfolding herself, but she had no choice. With a heavy sigh, Wendy placed the bandage over her eyes and tied it tightly behind her head. She pulled out her left pigtail as a curl had gotten stuck in the binding and she hated when her tails were uneven. Wendy stood there in total darkness. She heard Artemis bouncing around to her left, probably still trying to shake off smacking into a wall. She listened to the uneasy rhythm of her breathing. Wendy never realized how much she “smelled” of fear before. It was no wonder everyone always thought of the young girl as such an easy target to pick on. She strained to listen for any sign of En but she heard nothing, no breath, step or heartbeat. “Now what?” Wendy asked softly hoping En hadn’t just bailed on her leaving her standing there like a blindfolded fool.

Dark-Mew-Galinda
((becareful...that was near a one liner Legend...))

"Hehehehe This will be fun," Rosa giggled,"Come over here! We can find you a worthy monsters! Don't worry they aren't too big!" Next Rosa walked over to the computer which had all the moster she could fight in them. When Legend came over Rosa said this to herself, "Lets see...your element is...Fire...hum...lets see...water goblins...hum...status...not too strong not too weak...made of pure water element...sounds good for me..." As Risa ran through the data she was looking for something that her element was weak against. Something hard she was looking for, She actually wanted to show other what she could do, starting with Legend. Then she reliezed it was rude to just pull Legend over here to show her what she could do so she said,"OH sorry you may pick first," Rosa said as she showed Legend the training system.

"Umm...so should I pick something I'm weak against or...?" Legend had never trained in the Training Hall, and thus was very confused. She looked at the screen and decided to search for someting of the water element. All she saw were huge water dragons at extremely high levels, so she turned to Rosa with pleading eyes. "Rosa...do you think you could choose for me? I'm not very good at this..." Legend bit her lip, as she thought she sounded like a whiny baby, but she was sure Rosa wouldn't mind helping.
