[chibiwithagun] Chibi walked into the kitchen and looked at the one called okaa-san. " Um...Is there something that you need me to do?" She asked her as she walked up bowing. Forgetting that she still was holding her fans in her hands. [22]

.[anata]. "Yup, that white brick of tofu will be the 'meat' and the seaweed and bit of salt and broth will be the 'taters.'" She giggled, "I over heard that from some silly westerner coming through my village! My older sister and I had an inside joke about that person ever since. Silly people." She shook her head and laughed, "Now then, we need to get a pot of water, boil the sea weed, add a pinch of salt and bit of other stuff to make it that brown color." Anata said aloud, more to herself than anything, as she rumaged through the cupboards, gathering up the rest of items. She plopped dried sea weed, a dash of salt and the other broth to create that nice mixture of brown cloudy water. Eventually, she cubed the tofu and added it to the chemistry and let it sit. "Nothing to it!" *13*
[[Ooh I had miso soup today, it was yummeh!! xD]]
Laughing, Akemi spluttered, "meat and taters?! What were they thinking?!!" But still she continued to look on in amazement as Ana went about cooking the miso soup. She looked perfectly at home in the okiya's wonderful kitchen. "Thank you for teaching me, Ana! I must remember, so that one day I can make you miso soup!" She said, lightly, and then went on, "I must say, our cupboards are starting to look bare. I wonder if we'll be able to go to the market to stock them up? We must ask Tora, or Mother."

"It must be a western thing." She laughed and then bowed to Akemi, "Thank you for letting me teach you, Akemi-san! You remind me a lot of my older sister back in my village!" Anata paused for a moment, remembering her old home and one true and only friend and sister. She frowned for a minute but quickly shook her head bringing herself back to the present, "You're right! Where is the closest market to us? Will Tora-san let us out? And who is Mother? Is she nice?" Her jade eyes grew wide with a curious excitement, "Let's go ask, Akemi-san! Let's go ask!" *14*

Akemi laughed with Ana, saying, "You have no need to bow to me, Anata! You also remind me of my sister, although I cannot say I miss her all that much. She was a wonderful sister, but she did get up to some terrible tricks." She smiled at her friend's enthusiasm, and said, "the market is not that far, Ana. I have only been there once, when i was a maid, like you. I do not remember it that well, but i do know i longed to go again. I think Tora-san may let us go out, if we ask politely, but I think she may have gone to the teahouse with her other younger sisters. As for Mother, she is head of this okiya, and I can honestly say I have never spoken to her!" Akemi laughed at this, then added, "Maybe we should ask Mother, if Tora-san really has left?"

"You had a sister too? We have a lot in common, Akemi-san!" She giggled, "Mother is the leader of the okiya? So, she's like the elder of a village? The okiya is her village and we are to respect her like a village elder?" Ana questioned making a odd expression on her face, pushing outward some and scrunching her eye brows down. She quite amusing to see when she made this face. "You say that Tora-san left? Then how will we get out, espeically, if you have not even spoken with Mother yet?" The younger girl asked almost afraid of being able to experience freedom one more time. *15*

Hara smiled at Tora... and then looked at herself in the mirror... Tora had one of the maids bring in her Green Kimono with the swan... and the gold dangling leaf hair ornament....

Tohru carefully smoothed down her royal blue kimono decorated with cherry blossoms. She carefully placed the hair ornament in, smiling at the beautiful jewels.
"Oh Hara-chan, you look beautiful," she said, looking at her sister.

Kitsune_Fox Tohru carefully smoothed down her royal blue kimono decorated with cherry blossoms. She carefully placed the hair ornament in, smiling at the beautiful jewels. "Oh Hara-chan, you look beautiful," she said, looking at her sister.
