The trouble with rules like that is that it's entirely possible for posting after yourself to be completely and utterly necessary for the purposes of style and presentation, for example, if one were to make a very long-winded post and then reply to it with a short summary, or some manner of quip that dismissed the entire thing, ETC, the second post serves as a sort of emphasis or punctuation to the time/care/sheer length of the first.
Or, in the "INFRACTING" case, the first was a knee-jerk reaction and a very hasty reply, whereas the second was a summary of all points in the first in clearer language, and then an explanation as to why I maintain these opinions.

Which, incidentally, were replies to a moderator who edited one of my posts. Same moderator who ticketed me for double posting when I replied with my disapproval- out of spite because I didn't blindly accept their 15 year old Hall Monitor edicts.
Let it be known! Following the rules to the letter of the law is not the way to moderate, children.

How were your holidays hun? Thats wonderful! x333333 *snuggle and fluffle* Very interesting... Very very, particularly, ill. To the point that besides rarely being able to handle listen to music or watch any sort of video I even have trouble scrolling web browsers sometmes. o-O That has been since getting on an airplane to visit family for a few weeks for the holiday. I was ill from the plane, managed to pull it togeather for Christmas morning, and promptly got a cold the next day. Functioning for Christmas morning was my goal though, and the little nieces were understanding and adored me despite my not being able to do much the whole time, so it was more than worth it. =] I am home now and hopefully should start working towards my normal level of bad health. x-x How about you? ;3

I hope you are well by now too. It is worth it to invest in those tissues that are softer and have lotion. *nod*
I am doing better... it turned out we simply were not balancing out my medication with enough food, timing etc. o_O
It has taken a lot of fandangling, but we worked it out... It got weird and bad when I got home actually. Double vision, half my body going numb... I am glad we worked it out and I don't have to find something else. This works for what its supposed to do but... I think my body is still a bit numb. =x

On Roliana we have to enforce the no double posting rule fairly strictly as well.Its mostly because of the way the majority of people use them. We don't want people spamming, or using these types of methods to gain more gold, because we'd like to keep the forum centered around conversation, and community, and I think the overall community is better for it. I don't think its an entirely horrible rule, and it becomes second nature once you start posting there a lot. Then again I've found it is a lot friendlier there then Menewsha. I have a Menewsha account but never bothered to really post a whole lot, because everything was so damn ridiculously strict. And this is coming from someone moderating for Roli, who i thought was strict at first. Its one thing to strictly enforce some aspects of your rules in order to keep the proper balance, and sustain the economy within the community. Its another to be so strict that you actually turn users away with horror stories. I'm sure Mene isn't as horrible as I think it is, but It'll still be a long time before I bother myself with clawing my way through the rules just so I can post there about one thing. x__x

i had a roliana acct for like a week. its a terrible site. x:
i mean no one here created it so whatever haha i'm sure you don't care about what i think.
the rules are ridiculous, super ridiculous. i'd say some of them were completely unnecessary or not thought out as well as they should have been. a lot of the staff is suuuper rude and condescending. they also send poorly drafted regular unsolicited e-mails to all members without the option of opting out which is essentially illegal. i had to ask someone to ban my account so they'd stop sending the e-mails. their practices are those of people who don't know how to run a business.
menewsha isn't great but i think most of their rules are more lenient than roliana's. this is coming from someone who was banned on both sites haha. i mean, when it comes down to it they both have stupid rules no one needs and they are both very intrusive when it comes to their users' virtual lives on their site. they both treat their members like they are children (probably because a lot of them are). gaia may be going to s**t but at least they aren't up your a** checking on what you say every 5 minutes and looking for a reason to give you a warning. ******** THE POLICE lul! -burns bra in protest- scream

I'm sorry you feel that way, but I'll respect your opinion. I actually find Roli to be quite enjoyable, but then again different avatar sites attract different types of web-dwellers so it's to be expected that some people wont be happy with certain sites. For instance Gaia has been royally pissing me off lately, and that's why I've been retreating to smaller avatar sites.

And eep! Medications can be super tricky DX;; I'm really glad you finally found a healthy balance that works for you... although numb doesn't sound good. It might be redundant to ask, but have you been to pharmacist about it? DX <3

Yeah... I'm not surprised really. For me it's all this cash shop stuff. I understand that the site needs money to run as a business, but when every new feature, and item that comes out involves real currency, I don't know. i'm just starting to get kind of jaded. I don't want to spend my real money on my virtual escape.

Keiiii and I were chatting about this a couple months ago. We feel the same way pretty much, we know Gaia is a growing site and it needs money to pay for staff and servers etc, but we also remember that they said they would never make any items cash only. Hahahahahahaha, so much for that gonk
But what bugs me on top of that, is what you said, they're pumping out these items faster than you can keep up with, and all the really good items are cash only. The monthly collectibles are in general, craptastic compared to what they used to be, with a good item once in a blue moon.
A lot of the shop updates are disappointing too.
It seems in general Gaia has sold out, and runs on quanity>quality

I wouldn't even be as jaded if they'd just come out with a set once in awhile that wasn't all cash shop this cash shop that. Or a fun a new feature that didn't involve real money. Like, I was so angry with aquariums, because it seemed like a good idea, but then I found out that you not only have to buy the fish with real money, but they don't even last long enough for it to be worth it. And lets face it, some of the items are REALLY expensive. I don't have 10 bucks to throw at a mindless hobby like gaia. ><
It just makes me mad.
