 Agrias Oaks Agrias Oaks was beginning to get a headache from the argument, when both Corey and Makoto shouted for both of them to get to cover from the shiny flakes falling toward them, "A chemical attack? Lovely..."In an irrated sigh, the blonde paladin cast Protect to shield all four of them, then motions for Kiyoshi to follow the pair of conspirators, "Let's go before we end up puking our guts out...."

(So, to summarize my earlier post...)
Priss and Koran evaded Noel's weapons as they swung around, then Priss asked what the weapon being fired was.
The Jade Falcon's shield was unaffected by the anti-magic barrage. Just after the flak barrage started, the Jade Falcon's shields flickered off. Using the shield signature as cover, the plane blasted downwards, its stealth rendering it nearly invisible to pretty much all conventional sensors. Then it came up after a few seconds, a blast hitting the shield of a flagship. The blast was designed to drop shields, and if it worked, the plane would vanish into the larger ships signature. If it didn't, the plane would slam into the shields and then go spiraling away, all its signature gone, as though damaged, going down towards the city, looking like it was going to crash.
The turrets around the city were being leveled by the Cannons onnboard the ships, but the Shin-Ra tower and its weapons still stood and fired, laying out nearly equal firepower to that aimed at the tower. It painted exterior turned out to hid a massive armorred interior that was the pride of months of work by Weapons Development.

Noel heard Priss' question and let out a sigh. "It's official classification is TD: Tanitran weapon, class 'D'... but it earned the nickname Total Destruction among regular soldiers." She took a seat by the wall, curling her legs up and hugging them. "It's original purpose was a large scale, intelligent EMP to disable electronic devices on multiple levels, from powerplants to minute sensors, even being able to seek the sources out electrical itself. It worked perfectly in the field... but it worked too well. It also disrupted any and all Nox magics, and completely switched off all electrical signals within the body of any living creature. In other words..." She looked up at the pair. "Put simply, their hearts just stopped, and they all fell to the ground. Man and animal alike. Also, since your magic and our Nox technology works under similar laws, any protection magic you would cast would be completely useless to defend yourself against it. Your only chance is a physical barrier, totally devoid of the flakes you just saw and a constant supply of air for around 10 minutes or so... like here." Just the description she gave was enough to make her regret calling herself Preatorian, knowing that the weapon outside was being used to destroy the entire area of life. She sunk her head into her knees, a tear developing in her eye. "But that particular grade was banned for over 350 years... And that's not even the worst one." Her voice quivered with those last words: She may have graduated from the academy as a lieutenant, but in essence she was still a child. Being only 16, she was only made to participate in combat if there was a large scale war, and this was about as big as it could get.

As Corey and Makoto ran down the stairs, the pair felt a magic envelope them: it was a protect spell. "... you stupid pieces OF s**t!!!" He leapt up the flights of stairs, absolutely enraged. "C-Corey?!? What the hell, just leave them!!!" She started running directly after him, keeping up with ease. As the boy made it to the roftop again, he started running directly towards the pair, absolutely pissed off... and Trea, in all his Moogle glory, grabbed onto Agrias' shoulder, teleporting her to The Sanctuary. Then instantly came back for Kiyoshi, appearing by his leg and grabbed him there, and followed by Royce and Makoto. The four of them managed to get out of there just in time, too: the weapon activated. The entire battlefield would be enveloped by a pale white wave, sapping all electricity, magic and disabling Nox all along the surface of the battlefield. Soldiers on both sides who's armour was exposed to the air would be killed instantly, their hearts simply ceasing to beat any further. The militiamen would fall instantly, but many of the Preatorian soldiers would still stand strong, their armour being a total protection from the weapon.

We fight to destroy Boomer's...  The Shin-Ra Tower abruptly went silent as the weapon went off, along with the troops Shin-Ra had deployed, all but a handful of them falling over immediatly, including nearly every SOLDIER member that had been sent out. The few that hadn't fallen were some of the strongest non-SOLDIER personnel, equipped with prototype environmentally sealed powered armor, saving them from the effect of the blast. However, many SOLDIER members started getting back up after a moment, some wobbly, others throwing up on the streets, but most still ready to fight. Thanks to some of Shin-Ra's latest developments, There latest in a line of steadily improving Armor Bangles boasted an included force-feild system running off of a sealed, sheilded micro-reactor inside the bangle itself, offering huge armor protection as well as near total elemental resistance to electric and fire based attacks. Thanks to the basic rules of electricity, a weapon capable of the effect that had just happened was electrically based, and as such, only the tiniest bit got through the defense, enough that SOLDIER member's were inherently capable of shaking it off. But, in moments, the SOLDIER's scattered into the alleys and hidden places of the area before the enemy sensors would be able to function and realize they were still alive. The still standing normal troops were stunned by the sudden darkness of the lights all over the city, and the sudden deaths of there comrades. But, after anytime from ten seconds to a minute, each one scattered as well, hiding from detection. "Jesus." Priss said, in awe that they would be willing to drop something like that. It was truly a war of genocide then. "Well then, I guess command will implement their M.A.D. policy." She said, to which Koran nodded. Koran had slid down and was pretty much doing his equivalent of sitting. "And i'm betting the professor will use this chance to test some of his new toy's as well." She said, sitting down as well, since they had to wait for a few minutes. Then she glanced up at Noel. "One question. This may seem irrelevant,but are you and your people a carbon-based species?" She asked. Whatever her answer, the Preatorian use of this level of weaponry was going to elicit a response, from some of the most twisted minds on the planet combined with the funds of the most powerful corporation on the planet. All hell was going to break loose here above Midgar, and the survivors would be Shin-Ra personnel, and anyone who got out of the city in time.The Jade falcon seemed to have just vanished in the blast wave, nowhere to be seen.But yet, are we not Boomer's ourselves? (OOC: Yeah, but I seem to have fixed it up for now.) Kindred souls locked in a futile war?

Kiyoshi had stood firm watching this all transpire and the back of his mind tracking the others who left in a hurry and what Corey said about being used did not interest him at all. Kiyoshi had always got along on his own even though he joined Avalanche he chose this path in penitence for bad things he had done in Shinra's employ as SOLDIER. Kiyoshis eyes looked up and noticed a falling of something chemical it seemed. He Knew nothing would happen to him as he wore the Red Ribbon he got off a Tonberry years ago. Lifted his hand and a Matiria began to glow in his left hand and a tornado of with spun around and upward sending the falling bio weapon back into the sky sending it away form Midgar. He lowered his left hand and noticed a major attack was coming and did not know what it was he then looked down to see someone had grabbed his leg but before he could see who it was he realized he was now in a different place. To Kiyoshi this was a forced retreat and to him this ment failure. He gritted his teeth in anger for this failed Mission.
"Errrrraaaa, F..Failure...."
His body tensed up placing the Meteor Bustersword onto his back and locked into place. He lowered his right hand his fists now clinched up, his body shaking in anger toward himself for failing to save Midgar. pain and anger showed behind his Mako eyes he felt reclaiming his Honor and just become significantly further out of his reach. The he spoke quietly as though he was speaking to him self.
"whats.....whats going on with this world? I..I will kill them all I'll I will mercilessly kill all that brings pain and suffering to the world even if it means my own death..in fact I welcome it in battle..then perhaps I will regain the honor I lost."

About a minute after the Preatorian WMD went off, killing nearly everything in Midgar, the enemy sensor's suddenly picked up a massive energy spike. Seconds later, a massive glowing white orb slammed into and instantly vaporized one of the flagships, simply because it was in the wrong place. The round was aimed for the Gate, and before anythign would even be able to line up a shot, the round went into the Gate, and into the Nexus Gate on Preatoria itself. Anythign between the round and the gate was simply vaporized.

Yuffie Kisaragi Liler    Inside the mansion, the ever so abandened and forgotten home as it seemed, Yuffie stood, watching out the window while young Yukari sat in the sofa cuddling one of her chocobo plushies Yuffie bought her at one of the shops in Midgar before all the craziness began. Really, she wanted to get out of the city with her daughter, but as bad as it was out there, she wasn't chancing anything. Not even Yuffie was that dangerous, had Yukairi not been with her, it might of been slightly different. The young one was almost always with Yuffie and Stark from the first day she showed up at the cruise ship trip. Possibly, one of the only future kids who didn't get the freedom all the others seemed. Running off on there own, doing crazy things by them self. How strange it was for Yuffie to be very serious about her kids! At least, the younger ones. She had no idea where Yugi and Yumi was, though she had her guesses.
Her attention was broken by the brilliant flash of the sudden blast, but this didn't seem to come from any ships above, it came from...Junon's direction? "...Oh gawd...That thing..it's working again?! That's..it! I'm so tired of this city, we need to find a place of our own, somewhere safe..Somewhere that doesn't get attacked twenty four seven.." Yuffie sighed heavily, turning to Yukari. "Yukairi, come on. We need to find Daddy and leave.." Holding her hand out, Yukairi jumped down from the sofa and rushed over to take her mothers hand, while holding her plushie in the other. Dang mansion, why did it have to be so big.! She had a lot of area's to check before she would even think about leaving...

Of course. While this mass attack of Midgar happened, possibly the most weak of Avalanche was the one out in the front lines trying to defend it. Though she wasn't exactly alone, Rinoa too was there, with someone else of dark hair, carrying a machine gun. The two were currently being protected by a holy shield, which would remain until they took enough damage that would eventually destroy it. For now, Isabel was concentrating all her power on this city. The massive golden aura that filled around the entire city of Midgar obvious as she tried to keep it up. Orbs of light scattered around the city, covering it nearly in every area.Though something like this, was really not going to last long before she collapsed into a short-term coma. She may of been weak, but she was not about to sit down and watch this city fall apart, and people die. If she could save people, she was going to do it at any cost. The holy barrier and the golden orbs of light around Midgar also held a healing energy, which would target only the good hearts, the ones fighting for it, and the citizens that have been injured. This also meant those killed may even end up coming back to life fully healed. "R-Rinoa..! I....can't...It's to much..." The dizziness and sever exhaustion were begining to set in, still, she pushed her self to go as long as she could..."Escape...please...run..I won't be able to help you two much longer...!"

That would be sore for a while, but she probably would never know with how long it would be tell she woke up again. "Isabel.." The blond paladin sighed as she carefully mounted her horse, while holding Isabel carefully. Good thing she was pretty strong. "I've told you multiple times not to use this much energy...Why must you hurt you're self so much?? " Of course, Had Isabel heard that. Her response would have been something along te lines of ' It is my duty to heal and protect lives.' or ' I have to save everyone!" Even Eve knew this, Isabel was very stubborn..even if she meant to do good.
"Rinoa, Laguna...You two should evacuate. Even for you, this is to dangerous...Please do as my daughter said, she hurts herself trying to save everyone...I would rather not see her attempts go to waste.." With that said, both disappeared. To where? Who knew..

Did it work?"   Well....Now Rinoa felt bad. She wasn't stupid. She understood perfectly how Isabel felt. She too, didn't want to be useless, or be called such a thing. She wanted to save lives too, which was the only reason she was here trying her best to stop the impossible battle, and save injured people. Though it seemed Isabel's healing did that for her. Many people had been revived and healed,and were rushing out of the city by Rinoa's directing them out. "....Maybe we should..Laguna, If the people here are safe, we should go too...Once everyone is out safely, we should escape. "

((OOC: Alright, I need to take action on this. I think I might have left this to long as is. This plot here in Midgar seems to have near put a choke-hold on the entire guild. It is a great plot, and, if kept active, could have led to a lot of cool things. But it's been a week since your last post Ranga. That's already out of hand. I've been giving you a lot of leeway because, well, I had my inactivity spells too. But, this is holding down a lot of potential plots that need Midgar as there launching point. So, as of now, I give you, Rangalord, until this time tomorrow, before I set an NPC in charge of the Preatorian Military under assumption of Tsubaki's death, in order to get this plot going again.))

(( Ooc: I do agree. The plot was awesome and you did put a lot of work into it but, with the lack of post's I think it really is discouraging anymore from posting.The guild has been very vacant lately, so we do need to pick it back up with other plots too and make sure we don't die out. I refuse to let this place die. ^^' I hope you understand though, and still want to continue RPing here! ))
