  "Squall, you're the one who gives me the most comfort. Comfort and happiness... And annoyance and disappointment, too!"  - Rinoa Heartilly -"You're-going-to-like-me! You're-going-to-like-me! Did it work?"   A cautious approach was made as Rinoa slowly made her way into the city of Midgar. The Shooting Star was already set up, and ready to fire off at, well, anything that looked aggressive at this point. Buildings destroyed, it looked like a pure war zone had gone off here! "What...happened....What is wrong with this city! How horrible..."
Then, something caught her attention up in the skies, besides the burning buildings and mass destruction of the city, something very large, flying up above.Some sort of....battle ship? What!? ShinRa? No, they wouldn't attack there own city..
Rinoa's face nearly paled, should she really stay here any longer?There may be injured people, or the rest of the team out here. They would need help! "...E-everyone...could they be.... " No, she couldn't let herself think that way. Gathering up all her strength, the young sorceress began further, trying to locate the main area of battle.
     "I don't want the future.. I just want the present to stand still.. So I can stay here with you." ((ooc: ))

~:Shikyo Strife:~    Shikyo was quickly running down the streets of Midgar carrying her favored weapon, her spear. Her clothes and face had some black soot from the buildings there were on fire as she was heading away from all the fighting. Though as she was heading down one of the many streets she saw a familiar women in blue. "Rinoa!" She said loudly before she ran up to the women, a bit out of breath but really look pretty much unharmed, just dirty. "What are you doing here?...Everyone's evacuated from the city...There's some war that's going on over there..." Though it was a little surprising that for once she didn't have her kids with her but that would have been a bad idea to have them in a war zone so she had Tifa watching them, away from Midgar of course. ((OOC smile )

~:Shikyo Strife:~ Shikyo blinked a little to the hug back hugged the sorceress back, being careful with her spear of course! "Well most have escaped or are just away from Midgar, a few are fighting but that's really all I know." She said as she was a little frazzled herself but was prertty calm otherwise. She was just mainly watching out for ShinRa or some burning building that was about to crumble down. "The twins are fine, Mom's watching them in Kalm. I was here before people started evacuating when it wasn't that bad but things have just gone downhill from then." She explained, not really mentioning the proposal since it wasn't the time or place for those kind of things. ((OOC smile )

Did it work?" "Thank goodness most are safe, then.." Who knew how many of them didn't even know of what was happening here. Much like herself, she had no idea until she walked right into it. "I want to help, I can't just leave if the others may be fighting...and I can't abandon the city when it's in need of help! That is what we do, right? Um...Are you going to stay here? Maybe you should go be with you're kids, It's not a good idea to risk you're self here. " She had children, so it was the natural thing o say. Even if she had her own, they were future children and pretty grown up to keep safe.
Nodding slightly, Rinoa gave a quick look around their surroundings. "Can you point me to where the others are fighting? "
"I don't want the future.. I just want the present to stand still.. So I can stay here with you." ((ooc: ))

~:Shikyo Strife:~ "Yeah...I was making sure everyone that was getting out was out of here, I was planning to leave until I saw you." Shikyo explained as she moved to the side to dodge a piece of flaming wood. "Midgar is pretty much destroyed already and there isn't much we can do about it...I'd say the same to you since you have future children, they would never exist if their mother died in the past." She had a point there, even if she was being a bit negative, it was the truth. There wasn't much her or Rinoa could do to help the city when it was still being destroyed by the raging war and the people fighting in it, how could they change their minds when they're fighting for what they believe? Though she pointed toward where she was running from. "Just down there but it's pretty bad and I don't recommend going since there are so many people and there are a lot of crumbling buildings. Just be careful if you do go Rinoa." She did care for the poor sorceress since she was technically family, in the future anyway. ((OOC smile )

Rinoa nodded to her,she wasn't planning on keeping her here longer, though.If anything she would rather see her out of here now, if only she didn't stand out so much in her little sky-blue duster! "Then you should keep going, Is Kalm safe? It is the closest town from here that I know of, besides Junon.." Rinoa said,though when she saw the burning wood falling down toward Shikyo, seeing as she was close, she too, moved back a few feet quickly. "This is dangerous...." She sighed, it only made her worry more for those who may be hiding in buildings. It was natrual for people to hide when things happened like this, for fear of getting killed outside. "It's alright, I don't plan on letting that happen, but I can't just leave the city like this. They depend on us to protect it, how....how are we protecting it now? " Angelo could be a great help, as well. with it's nose it would be able to locate those who may of been trapped or hidden. "I have Angelo to help, too. It will be fine.." She was stubborn, but for a good reason.

~:Shikyo Strife:~ "It's a lot safer then here and I told Mom at the first sign of the war there to move to Junon. I'm not risking my babies, they're only four months old." Shikyo seemed prepared for this and she knew if Tifa wasn't in Kalm when she came back then most likely she would be in Junon or on their way to it. "Well...We're at least protecting most of the lives and those people can help rebuild what's already been lost." She nodded to her next comment, seemed Rinoa was going to stay and she hoped the women wouldn't go into something too dangerous. "If you need to retreat somewhere just join us in Kalm or Junon." She said before she turned and ran in the opposite direction Rinoa was going. ((OOC smile )

Did it work?" "Junon? Isn't...that a little risky? ShinRa is in that town, too...I guess if they stay below with the town of people, they will be safe. Surly ShinRa doesn't know who you're children are. " Kalm would have been the best choice in her opinion! If only Balamb was closer by, they would definitely be safe there. "Balamb should be getting close by now, they may have already parked the Garden outside Midgar, if you see it I think you should go there, and tell them to go pick up you're mother and children. You would be safe. " Smiling faintly to Shikyo, she took a step away. "Thank you..You stay safe too." With that, she turned fully before hurrying off with Angelo to the area's of the main fighting.
"Angelo, help me find people inside the buildings, okay? " She gave the dog a little pat on it's head, the smartest dog she had ever known,and knew very well she would be able to track the one's injured or in hiding with no problem.

Kiyoshi was standing on one of the tall buildings facing down what he believed to be a self proclaimed SOLDIER. His eyes then looked passed Cory's shoulder to see a floating round base with a fancy ring spinning around it. He had never seen this before. This kind of tech was obviously not of this world. Perhaps this was the stages changes to the world that Midnight was talking about. Kiyoshis sharp hearing could also pick up the voices of a few young woman near by discussing something but was not sure what. After the moment of surprise of seeing this ringed floating base his eyes focused back on Corey who he was about to attack at the slightest sign of threat. Kiyoshi was now in his battle mind a state of perfect combat focus and has calculated the quickest way to annihilate his enemy. Kiyoshi no longer had his focus on his back for he knew Agrias had his back covered. He then shouts with a release of Ki that all with in five blocks around him would feel and hear and also would put an intense pain of fear into Corey's gut. The Mako glow in his eyes becoming more intense.

As soon as her troops had arrived at her location, they were shocked to see her in her current condition. "Ma'am, are you alright?!?" "J-j-just get m-me the hell o-out." Her body was starting to freeze over from contact with the ice for such a long period of time. As the engineers disperse the ice into warm steam, her body temp returned to normal within moments. As the vapour disapeared from her body and clothing, she looked over to the bodies of the PREDATORS that Noel had killed so easilly. She remembered that her guns could ignore armour completely and attack the target without penetration. "Why the hell are we using conventional tactics still, lieutenant?" "We needed aproval from you to activate the guidance systems on the AOE weapons. We don't have the clearence." Tsubaki admittedly forgot about that procedure: she was only just placed into the role of Commander, so certain procedures were new for the girl. "... You have my support for the weapons... inform the gunners on all ships." "Ma'am." Looking to the skies, she glared for a moment unwittingly. "Tell me: Why aren't the shields up on the ships?" "Ma'am?" She pointed to the falling battleship, the mans eyes widening. "Be a dear and turn them on for me, would you? And while you're at it, call in another ship to replace that one and get the rest to create a sky of Nox-shards to bring that little pest down. You can do that, can't you?" "Y-yes miss Tsubaki!"
As soon as the battleship began firing on friendly targets, the rest of the ships began shifting their positions. ~Battleship Tarma has gone hostile, all batteries on all ships, open fire. I repeat, all batteries on al ships: open fire. Bring it down to the ground.~ Soon after that order was given. the ships began letting loose a torrent of ammunition, from energy projectiles to explosive ammunition. Anything to bring down the now hostile ship. Within seconds, the ship began to crumble at structural weakpoints and started breaking up to the point it disintegrated from the intense onslaught and preventing any serious damage to the friendly forces below. Shortly after, the ships recieved their new orders and began activating their shields, followed shortly by a similar ammunition to flak: It burst a pale blue and magically enhanced shrapnel flew through the air for 30m/100ft, decimating anything that wasn't recognised as Praetorian armour.

When Priss commented on her actions towards the commander, she was kind of awkward about it. "Well, I didn't do that because she's a friend... We went to the Acedamy together. And besides, the only reason she's trying to kill me is because of this war." As they continued, she smiled as they introduced themselves. "Noel Vermillion, firs-... ex-first lieutenant of the Preatorian guard." She almost forgot that she left the guard to help Midgar. As Koran continued on about the armies tactics, she just smiled. It was understandable for someone like him and Priss not to fully understand their military tactics. "Our military works differently to other worlds. We tend to pride ourselves on demoralising our enemy: Just as they think they have the upper hand, we come crashing down with another trump-card. And we do it again, and again, and agai-" Before she finished, she noticed a pretty, shiny flake in the air. That was followed by several others, reminiscent of mother of pearl in appearance... then realised what it was. She extended her arms and her handguns appeared from thin air again. "Stay here until I say otherwise. When I do, start running into the circle as quickly as possible." She bolted foreword and took a stand, aiming her weapons at the ground in a large ark. Then she started opening fire and turning: The sound was a dull, bassy bang, and each round that hit made a blue dot on the ground. Within seconds, a perfect circle was created and the dotes began to connect, unknown runic symbols taking form and multiple circles now rotating above the ground. "Now, hurry!" Her stance was unmoving, as if she need to stay still until the pair were in the circle. The flakes density was increasing massively, now a definite sign that something is wrong.

Corey glanced over at Kiyoshi, not impressed with his attitude thus far. This guy seemed more and more like a hinderence with each and every wor spoken, maybe even a risk to him and anyone involved in protecting the city. He couldn't really comment on the woman, though she did seem to be concentrating on the two very carefully. But before he could make an answer, the idiot let loose a scream, one he bet was loud enough for entire blocks away to hear. That was the last straw: he was afraid that he'd attract attention they didn't need right now: it was a surprise how they were actually alone right now. "You know what? Forget it." He adjusted himself and stood facing the swordsman, a tuft of hair covering his crimson eye, leaving only the mako-green that was now glowing slightly. If that wasn't enough to prove his origins then this guy was too naive to even bother with. "If I wanted some agro b*****d with a sword and more temperment problems than a flock of Bombs than I'd give one of my friends a call on the phone. If you want to question my intentions to the point that you want to put our currently unknown position at risk, then I can't use you." He slung his scythe into the holster on his lower back and started walking away, Makoto awkwardly following him. "What the hell are you doing? You need everyone you can get right now, even if it's someone like -that-." "I've worked with people like that, and they all end up the same: dead with others shortly following them." "Yeah, but-" Makoto stopped, her ears perking up at an unfamiliar sound. "What's wrong?" "I... I don't know, I heard some kind of gears moving." "Gears?" "Above us..." Before long, shiny flakes began falling from the sky, a radient rainbow of colours coming off of them similar to mother of pearl. To anyone not familiar with them, they seemed harmless like maybe the debris from the fight above them, maybe even found them pretty. Corey recognised what it was instantly, and makoto folllowed right after. A look of horror adorned their faces, and the pair turned to Kiyoshi and Agrias. "GET TO COVEEEER!!!" Makoto started sprinting to a door on the roof and smashed it down. "DOWN HERE, NOW!!!" Their voices were a mix of absolute fear and determination, their movements not caring for anything other than getting off the roof. They only had half a minute before the all life in the city was extinguished. They didn't know if the other two were following, but they didn't care: the further away from those flakes they were the better chance of living they had. Pressing just behind his ear on a tranciever, he desperately tried to get to Trea. "Trea, we need evac now! Their using AOE weapons and we have less than a minute to get out, how copy?!?" ~"Got it, I'm tracking the signal now, How many?"~"Four total." "~Got it, give me a minute-~" "YOU'VE GOT 20 SECONDS, YOU RAT-s**t b*****d!!!" Fear was very present when Corey spoke then, his voice demonstrating that perfectly. Makoto was looking up at the door as they ran: The flakes were following them un-naturally quickly. Very, very bad.

Kinda forgot about this one, to be honest :/
Also, a quick reminder to all who are unaware, there are multiple ships within the city: the count is five battleships, three frigates, two cruisers, two carriers and two flagships, plus countless fighters. The FS are directly above the centre of the city, too. Apart from that, Tanks, Light Attack Vehicles [LAVs, or jeeps if that helps] and masses upon masses of soldiers are fighting a military compony who're defending the edge of the city where the evacuation took place a while ago.-|

We fight to destroy Boomer's...  "Ex? Well, glad to see your not one of the ones trying to kill us then." Priss said, then both she and Koran followed while they listened to Noel's explanation about there militaries tactics, until he stopped even as the pair also noticed the flakes in the air. "That cant be safe." Priss said even before Noel commented, as gray diamonds appeared around both of them again, before fading once more. When Noel told them to stay and his guns appeared, Koran's stance shifted slightly, before an armored hand rested on his shoulder. "Relax." Priss said to him. As soon as Noel said now, the pair immediately moved into the formed circle, neither wanting to take chances with what was in the air. They figured they could take Noel, not Bio-weapons or whatever those were. "Oh. Time to go, I think." The pilot of the Jade falcon said as the wire slunk back into its receptacle, suddenly returning control to the freaking out Fire Control teams. The ship was, of course, quickly destroyed , but that first volley had already been fired at all the PREDATORS before the counter-fire started. The Jade Falcon suddenly came rocketing out of the bridge of the battleship, easily evading the large guns weapons fire that was aimed for the battleship. Then the Flak-esque explosions started up as the ships sheilds come online, and the shards began hitting the Jade Falcon. "Oh. Thats impressive." The pilot said. Then, the entire ship seemed to become encased in a glowing green sphere. The effect the shards had on the sphere would depend on what they were designed to destroy. Odds were though, they would just be glancing off.Suddenly, for blocks all around Shin-Ra Tower, blocks of cement began sliding back, and turrets ranging from dog sized to the sizes of the cars around them began coming up from the ground. The smaller turrets engaged smaller targets, anything from infantry to tanks to the planes. While the biggest focused on firing massive, Materia-powered blasts at the battle fleet up above. The tower itself also suddenly began blazing weapons fire from even more weapons, as suddenly all the reserve SOLDIER's were sent out, everywhere from third-class all the way to the first-classes. With the President not around to give orders, and the vice president killed in an explosion before he reached the tower, someone else had taken control of Shin-Ra. But yet, are we not Boomer's ourselves? Kindred souls locked in a futile war?

As soon as the pair made it into the circle, the ex liuetenant began shifting her guns in a wide circular arc, then clanged the butts together: the circle began to materialise into a sphere-like barrier, hexagonal segments surrounding them all. And in moments, it hardened over, turning into a completely solid barrier... though there were still shards in the shell. She then began to swing the weapons in a precise spinning motion, hoping that Priss and Koran wouldn't get in the way and ruin the spell. She herself began spining and, after a small leap, smashed the weapons on the ground: the walls of the sphere began to glow, and the shards began to get sucked towards them, and ultimately phased through the surface. The entire area was now being clensed of any impurities in the air, and their energy would soon begin to return to them. As the young girl stood again, she didn't seem too happy. ... They're really using a D-class AOE weapon?
As the shards began to bombard the aircraft, the gunners were also examining computers to see how effective the rounds were. "Magical barriers appear to be active: engaging with AMP ammunition and HE-Flak cannons. Get some EMP-hardened fighters on it's a** just to be safe." After a moment, half of the fleets cannons stopped firing, only to have the new ammunition begin to rain down on the fighter: anything magic-based would be rendered ineffective for only a brief second, but with the amount of rounds being thrown at it the effect would appear constant. And with the new fighters coming in to take out the threat, things would appear to be getting very ugly. When the surface defence systems began firing at the ships, the rounds either began to disintegrate on contact with the ships, or were absorbed into them. The main-guns took aim at their new targets and started firing down, decimating anything and everything that let out a large muzzle-flash aimed at the ship.

 Quistis Trepe   "Rinoa! " A whispered yell could be heard from a few feet behind Rinoa.She may agree that saving peoples lives was important, but not in THIS. Rinoa was completely insane, and there was no way she was going to let her continue on this rescue mission she seemed to be trying to do. "Have you completely lost you're mind!?" She said angrily, yes, she wasn't happy. She had the same tone she used once on Squall when she found out about the day he let her go to the Sorceress Memorial. "If we even survive getting out of here, I'm locking you in Balamb...Goodness the trouble you get into..This is far beyond our ability to help, You and I couldn't even handle this.. Look around and above you! " With that, Quistis grabbed a hold of her friends arm, pulling her off with her, attempting to keep to the shadows and out of sight. She just hoped the Sorceress in blue wouldn't give her any trouble.
Of course she would give her trouble, when it was something she believed so heavily in doing. "Quistis! I am not a child, let me go! These people need help! We don't run away!" The young Sorceress attempted to pull away from her, amazingly, Quistis was quite strong! "I'm not going back until I know these people are safe! You go! " She could say that all she wanted, she really wasn't going to stay here with Quistis continuing to pull her along. Poor Rinoa!
