I have some rather distasteful news for the vampires. Current military technicians have constructed a gernade that's burst is sunlight x10. Its is a non-lethal weapon, non-lethal to humans anyway.
More or less, the US military can now effectively create natural sunlight during the night.
((scientifically speaking, the light produced by the gernade is the same as the light produced by the sun but more potentient because the atmosphere is not reflecting the majority of the radiation.))

Yep. I asked some smart science students if they new of any modern weapons that would hurt vampires, they mentioned that.

The current beast military helicopter only costs ten million dollars.
Its munitions a little under one million.
Hmmm....
I wonder how many SAMs Mr. Lynx has...

I doubt you need helicopters and missles to catch one vampire who your character dwarfs in size and is probably old enough to over power him easily enough.
