Well, smart a**, it's the first on my google search and it's right. The reason the south fought has nothing to do with the meaning of the flag. The flag was made to represent America and the South, not slavery. There is NOTHING racist in that flag.

He's a sweetheart. He follows our stallion, Moon, around and they look so weird next to each other because Moon is a draft horse and Star is an American colt.

Confederate Flag: The flag of the confederates states of America.
When states did not like the new laws on slavery [primarily the south] they seceded from the union.
The new countries flag looked resembled the American flag with the same colors, but a different design.
Of course they were all readmitted to the union, and the laws against slavery were passed.
