A string of swears and slurred curses in another language. His whole arm was submerged in a sinkful of ice-cold water. He closed his eyes, tears brimming at the corners.

Fenris could hear something calling to her in her mind, half awake as her now almost white eyes flicked, then slowly opened as she stared blankly up at the ceiling for a momment then closed again. She still couldn't see.

Fenris shook her hea weakly, then, with difficulty, turned to her side as she curled up with her arms over her eyes. That was the extent of her abilities right now, shifting a bit, and blinking.
