Seph woke up, rubbing his eyes tiredly. He stretched and yawned, looking at his burned arm. "So it's true.." He said softly, sighing. He turned his arms over, gazing at the two small orbs and bracelets fused to his flesh. "So this' my only defense, now..?"

His head shot up, looking around. "Eh..?" He blinked some, looking around. "Um.." He sighed some, trying to concentrate on sending his thoughts through chakra. Unfortunately, he wasn't even developed enough to do that. He sighed, looking around, lost as to what to do.

"Remember what I said last night, abou' not being developed chakra-wise..?" He sighed softly, "Um.. The tea last night.. burned me.. Me, the Ho Sensei.. burned.. And I fear.. that can only mean..one thing." He snapped his fingers. Nothing happened. He did it again, and again, no response. "..I can't use Ho.."

~Tea isn't fire, Seph. But...~ She started to follow Reeve, who looked like he knew what he was doing, and an image of Seph's lack of success with fire floated into her head. ~Oh. ...Can you use anything at all? Even some of the less showy stuff?~

He pulled out a lighter he always kept with him. A Zippo, with a four-leaf clover etched on the front. His lucky lighter. He flipped it open with two hands, fumbling with lighting it, due to his smaller, younger hands. Finally, the flame ignited. The simplest of techniques, direct contact with flame, and moving it to another point. He took a deep breath.
Seconds later, a scream resounded that could be heard even out in the forest.
