Edge sighed deeply at the thought of letting himself go out to the soldiers. He considered waiting in the tunnel but worried that splitting up from the others would be a bad idea and thus went to the entrance but waited for the others to come before even thinking of going out of the tunnel.

Like the other three, Nakaji also walked to a tree stump and sat down. He switched his glance between Selestria and the wolves periodically, not wanting to miss anything that was said. Some of it might prove useful, later, especially if things went sour.

Eventually, through sloshing and swimming through the lake, Humbra made it to the other side which had the gateway to the exit of the water filled cavern. He sighed, pulling himself out of the glowing plant filled lake. The student eventually stood out of the water, and looked back at the red flickering light some ways off from him.
"Oye! Kat! Take your time. That's our only torch."

((OOC:Actually, I'll be posting quite a bit. o.O)) Oni walked outside by Areno and Kinoru and called over to Edge. "Hey, hurry up, we might as well get it over with quickly. I don't like waiting unless I have to, and we don't have to."

Sighing he followed out quietly keeping note on the others and on everything else around him. If he really did need to go and talk with the head of the soldiers he really didn't want to go in unprepared by at least not glancing at his surroundings.

~*~outside the great hall~*~
::The wolf riders greated them with smiles and remounted their steeds, though the wolves did snarl a bit at the students that exited the hall. The riders kept a slow enough pace to allow the students to keep up, seeing as the wolves could not carry the students in a fashion that would be manageable, so the riders had to let them walk::
~*~In the cave~*~
::the doorway was about the same as the one that they had entered. The tunnel beyond was dark and the air inside smelled stale::
(waiting for Kat to respond to the wire that tripped her)
~*~Forest:Selestria~*~
You are having troubles?
::Selestria leaned forward, listening intently::
Yes. We will be willing to make peace with those that live in the village, as we find that it would be better than the lose of life that occurs now, in the protection of our forest. Yet, the boars seem to think differently
~*~At the academy~*~
::Buki looked up and grinned again::
Ah, it appears that you will not be going alone after all, the two of you can go together. Isn't that just marvelous. Ok, don't be shy now, state you name

Sarume wasn't in that good of a mood. She didn't like giving away information, unless it was someone she cared about. Since she had just met these two (and the wolf), she didn't. "My name is Noriko Sarume, of the Mist Villiage.." She waited for a reply.

Forest: Selestria(Sp?)
Shigen worked himself out of the fray of pups and bowed to the Midwife. "Thank you." The young man smiled brightly before jogging off towards the council chamber, or meeting area...Shigen didn't know which. It was easy to see that it was the way since all of the pay prints along with some human tracks showed the way.
After entering the area Shigen looked about before sitting behind his group. He wondered if they would scold him for...sleeping on the job...

Sarume...
::she nodded and with a breif look at the door turned back::
Students call me Buki sensei. Now that you two are here, I shall explain where it is that I am sending you and what it is that I am sending you to do.
::the pointed at the windswept landscape through the door::
There is a town, through there, who is suffering from raiders. You are to go, assist them in defending their town. There is a raider, named Jan-que, he carries with him a black gem, you are to retreive that gem
Any questions?

What? Kuro could do nothing but stare at the door. Now he knew there was something weird about this school.
"U-um, Buki-sensei, isn't that... a little dangerous for students?" Kuro ignored the fact that the doorway seemed to lead out into the middle of nowhere like a portal to another dimension.
A desert??? The boy started to get nervous. His jutsu was based on plantlife, and a desert is notorious for having little of it, if any at all. He considered for a moment how he would prepare for such a mission. He'd need seeds, or at least a steady supply of water.
"Do we have to leave now?" Kuro's voice seemed to crack, barely above a whisper.

"If you don't mind me asking. Why do the boars think differently then you? Besides the difference in species," said Kaji as he sat up on the stump he was sitting on. He cocked his head to the right in question as he awaited the answer from the wolves. He wondered if they would have to fight the boar tribe.

Sarume was surprised how well this fit in. "Don't worry, I use mostly water or mist based jutsu, so I can provide water, for a limited time, since, as you pointed out, I am only a student, and don't have enough chakra to provide a large amount. And I don't think our teacher Buki-sensei would send us on a mission that was too dangerous.." She smiled. "Defend the town, steal a gem, might be fun."

Fun? This seemed to be the worst possible situation for him. His best jutsus were useless in a desert climate. It was like sending a fire jutsu specialist to help a city in the middle of a monsoon season.
The thought did occur to him that it was a good place to test and learn earth jutsu, maybe even build a garden for the village to live off of, but such a thing would take time.
Kuro finally took in a deep, slow breath. He let his right hand drop over his belt, slipping into the claw glove hanging from it, and strapped it over his wrist.
"Let's get this over with."
