Necro Fusion Renegades holding a giant gun so big that two of them need it. For some reason, I'd think they would die pretty fast ._. How is that any different from the regular heavy teams employed by the IG and renegades? They all need two men to operate, this one is just a little different in presentation.

It's no different, I say the same thing about the Imperial Guard. In any case, cool models, I've just never been a fan of their playing style. sweatdrop

So I'm in a little dilemma here, gentlemen and ladies. There is a 2000 point Apocalypse battle going on next sunday (not the upcoming sunday o3o), and I think I have enough. However;
Should I take my extra terminators and bike, or my Thousand Son unit?
And should I put up a list on the thread for that? It won't be much for modifying as most of the models are set in stone as to what I can give them, but hey, we'll see.

i may be new to CSM but i have been in a few Apocalypse games from what i have seen your best bet would be takeing your termnatiors there ablity to draw fire and dish out damge and the bick is a rather helpfull unit in a lot of combat being able to hit the weak sides and run
Thousand Son is a very usefull unit but they draw a lot of fire to try and drop there leader
all that info is from what i have seen by playing agenst CSM sorry if its not real help

Well, I'm glad that we agree with that, alucard. XD I played my Necron playing friend in a 2000 point game last night. What I did was hope that my bikes wouldn't die and rushed them right in. As I thought, they didn't die, and by the next turn my terminators teleported right next to the icon the bikes had. They took some fire but dished out a lot more, and were perfect to end the game with by ripping apart the Lord and the Warriors in one turn of combat. Though I typically use my two HQs to draw the most fire. A lot of people don't seem to realize that I take my two most expensive units on suicide missions just so everything shoots at them. .-. My list is on the thread here.

Who needs to freeze when you can just ask Khorne to rain blood above you with his axe? He'll just rip apart the atmosphere and you'll have all the red warm you want.

I've branched off from my normal Eldar fanatism to try out my new CSM army, even tried an apoc game and I've gotta say, they're alot more fun than the Eldar or Space Marines to play
The Daemon weapons arn't very attractive to me anymore, since my chaos lord died from it when I forgot the whole "roll a one, see the pain" rule thing ¬.¬
But I wonder, which is better, Obliterators or a squad of Havocs?

I'd go with the Havocs simply because they can get weapons that aren't energy based and a Rhino transport. However, Obliterators CAN teleport, and putting them right behind the enemy's power units... And then shooting them with Meltas... Very nice. 8D
