My friend from out of town visited this week and we went for dinner Wednesday. Our group decided to go for Japanese BBQ (it's very similar to Korean BBQ) where there's a grill in the table. It was so much fun and the meats were well marinated! The best part was the broccoli cause they put it in a tin foil package for you with some butter and seasonings so it's easy to cook but it tastes so good. And then we roasted marshmallows to make S'mores for dessert.

So grandma is out of the hospital and moved back into the nursing home. However, she's on palliative care instead of her previous room. My family is going to see her tomorrow to see how she is doing. My aunt said the nurses are giving her painkillers...hopefully, it's nothing major and she's not in too much pain. I'm a bit worried that we might have to start mentally preparing ourselves for another funeral or that she'll be in a lot of pain for a long time but I'm trying not to worry too much until I see for myself how she is doing/get an update from relatives watching her. On a happier note, my caramel popcorn was a success! I'm sharing it with my silbings tomorrow since we're having a family dinner to celebrate my brother's birthday (it's this Sunday) as well as my sister coming home from her trip to Vegas (she got us special edition Hello Kitty wine).

Grandma seemed to be doing better when we went to see her yesterday. She was awake and responsive and coherent. She also wanted to get up and move about which she couldn't do but it shows that she has energy. My uncle and my aunt said she has alternating bad days and good days but even her bad days are better than when she was in the hospital. I'm hoping she makes a full recovery.

And I'm trying to visit her more often since her nursing home isn't that far from downtown where I work. Trying not to take her remaining time for granted. It helps that our family is close and supportive of each other and I think this scare with grandma has pulled us together again.

Grandma has been doing well the last few consecutive days so it looks like she'll make a full recovery. We're going to have family lunch with her Saturday at the nursing home.

My boyfriend is finally back from vacation! He lost a part of my adapter set so I was annoyed at that but I missed him so much that I wasn't annoyed for long. Also, I brought egg tarts to the family lunch with grandma this weekend and grandma said they were very good. I'm happy that I got something that she enjoyed which she doesn't usually get to eat at the nursing home.

Trying to get my investments reorganized for tax purposes and my one account switched funds no problem but my other one still hasn't cleared even though I got notification that it was approved so now my portfolio is out-of-balance...and I might lose dividends if I have to resubmit the transaction and it doesn't clear by next week. I'll check again tomorrow when the 3 business days max wait time is over but it's frustrating (though I'm at a training session tomorrow morning for work so I'll have to wait until lunch). This is stressing me out. Online banking is suppose to easy and quick.
