Faith was quiet as she listened to his heart beat.
"I hope everything works out with Jake..." Hope said to Shane, glancing back towards where her sister was.

After a while, Faith tried to pull back. "I need to finish making dinner," she said.

Shane laughed a little. "Then this will be interesting, won't it?" he said.

Faith into the kitchen and pulled everything out of the oven. Then she began to distribute it among a few plates, so everyone would have enough.

"It's strange," Hope commented to Shane after a few minutes.
Faith could feel Jake's eyes on her was she worked and that made her blush a bit. "D-Do you need someting?" she asked.

"What is?" Shane asked her.
"No, I just wanted to know if you needed any help," Jake asked, sounding not very sure of himself. He was trying to keep from making a fool of himself.
